wasn't HH just really stupid? I remember people having a card setup that healed based on %. So they would choose big bodies and unless you did good damage per hit you weren't doing any damage to the big bodies? Something super retarded which made fighting hulk/haggar retarded.

I remember playing up until that became the "meta", where like every 5 games I would run into 2-3 of them and it was just not fun at all.

edit

I think it was 2 luke cage cards + something else. It was just a really retarded combo.
You could kill the Luke Cage type cards with something that gave you like unlimited X factor plus damage boosters... just had to get a heavy hitter.

But the most broken thing in H&H was Parry since you could Parry during hit stun.

H&H was Marvel at its maximum brokenness and that was the point. I don't think anyone took it seriously but it had amazing potential for casuals and long term monetization of the game. If it had a local offline version it woukd be fun in a mystery/side tournament.

BBCP's netcode is very inconsistent. It feels like they allocated additional resources to the games graphical capabilities than care about the smoothness of online. The slowdowns, and responsiveness comes and goes. Online makes it worse. One night I play this guy it's really good, next time we play, serious input lag, and slow downs every where.

Also, good bye shitty old hardware and good bye shitty mt framework. Let the future bring more robust online with built in community features so the game can sustain it self.
Maybe your ps3 is dying o.o/

So is the EVO logo going to be green this year instead of blue? And trail mix needs to sponsor EVO again. I love trail mix.

The best combo was multiple X-Factors, bonus X-Factor damage, and cause a wall bounce when you X-Factor.

FINALLY, a video where Morrigan is doing something! :) Thanks for the upload.

IF ONLY DUBCTALES KNEW WHAT WOULD BE COMING

Those vids were making the rounds right on the heels of TVC. He could never have imagined what lay in store for us, no one could!

I miss Ryu with air dash. TVC Ryu was fun.

Ryu was a combo machine in TVC. His BnBs were so pretty, even if they barely changed outside of the corner.

Sadly it's still one of the better one's of this gen imo.
Also it doesn't help that there are stages with frame rate drops due to w/e's going in the background.

H&H being online only is like a prime example of Capcom doing stupid ass shit

I really wanted to fuck with Offline for Team of One concept matches...which actually would be kinda lame because you couldn't use assists. My money's on Doom or Dante being the best if they could use their own assists.

Huh.

Cronus Converter (use PS3 stick on 360 and vice-versa) banned at Winter Brawl and maybe other events too? wonder why, afaik it only hurts the player using it.

Link

Via Focus Attack.

Edit: people at that link paying $120 to have their sticks dual modded? Seems extreme given parts cost (ps360+ pcb is $60, wires/harness will set you back $10).

People who aren't using it get their inputs dropped and messed up too.

Speaking of converters I have an Inpin lagless PS2 to PS3 converter I bought from eTokki I don't need anymore. Perfect condition, only used a couple times. I'll sell it for $25 which includes shipping. If you live in the US it would be much cheaper than getting it from Laugh's website.

Just PM me if anyone is interested.

Jrosa's opponent at DTN was using one and it was affecting his inputs.

You don't even know half of the broken crap those cards did, and it was hype.

Little video to show what it could have been in tournaments if Capcom did it right and made a separate versus for it.

Yeah hit stop does look lower. I thought it looked weird but now that it's pointed out, it really is the hit stop.

Should've kept that in... at least for Zero and Vergil. LOL!

I am still laughing at Wolverine air dash into j.L.

Killer Instinct evolves!

I main wolverine, that would have been more broken than vanilla wolverine. Those exquisite air dashes!

I think he's talking about the actual damage output not the numbers that pop up. Damage was lower in the pre release builds but top players complained that it resulted in many time outs like SFxT (although SFxT wasn't released yet people were afraid of that for MVC3).

I'm aware that he was referring to that, I'm just saying I miss seeing the actual damage. :p

Early build, I know, but check out Wolverine's awesome shoulders! Who needs air dashes when you can contort your body?

Yeah, they would heal super quick. They always went Hulk/Haggar, which means most resets wouldn't work. You had to have a 100% Hulk-killing combo or else they'd just call Haggar, roll away, s.H into charge forward then back, and he'd already have half their health back. It sucked.

He who pursues two rabbits gets two rabbits.
The best combo was multiple X-Factors, bonus X-Factor damage, and cause a wall bounce when you X-Factor.
My H&H setup was:

- can use X-factor 3 times per match
- get 2 extra meters every time you activate X-factor
- damage boost in X-factor

With any decent team that ought to mean a TOD on any clean hit.

A Pretty Panda

fuckin' called it, man
I ran Daken + 2 Luke Cages

Health + Health + Recover health + you get less red health when I hit you

Some cards effected hitstun and it was dumb.

I think AXE needs sponsor EVO, not only would it be a decent sponsor, it would also be a subtle reminder that good hygiene is important.
