If Kuroda's really homeless or near-homeless, the money used to get him to EVO would be better to get him something that will get him back on his feet instead.

RL before games.

Should we like start a campaign to get rollback netcode in sf5? It really should be in the ps4 version of sf4 too...

The release date of SFV is Spring 2016 (March 31st or before), meaning that the game is probably around 75% done; they'll probably start developing DLC starting in December. Far too late for netcode adjustments. We get what we get, and Ono has already said we're getting SFxT styled netcode.

Honestly I'm more concerned with the matchmaking. Gimme da ping, Capcom

You seen that jp article about kuroda? Maybe kida can translate but zhi says he's almost homeless and wants to go to evo. Would be dope if r kappa or someone sponsored him to go as he is one of the goats and some kind of 3s savant.

Oh gosh :[

People working on netcode may not be the same people working on character models, stage models, hit/hurtboxes, frame adjustment, QA and so on...

Capcom isn't French Bread or Lab Zero Games.

We should start a campaign asking for multi-person lobbies, custom input delay in lobbies before a fight, connection strength indicators and numerical pings for all players. Rollback is probably here to stay, but I'm sure they'll fuck up on the small details that really improve the experience. Not that multi-person lobbies are a small detail. The others are, but that one is a decently large undertaking.

That SFV is using SFxT's "techniques" for netcode (Ono's phrasing, not mine) is one of the very few things we know about SFV for sure.

I think you mean multi-station lobbies, SFIV already have multi-person lobbies, but yes, it's a must, no reason not to have them.

Yeah, I should just stick with multi-play lobbies. I think that is what they were called when Mike brainstormed them. I have no clue what the anime scene calls them which is kind of important since ASW and Lab Zero got the features out extremely close to one another. I can't imagine Capcom has ignored what ASW came up with, though. They're certainly more of a competitor to Capcom in Japan than anyone else.

Does SoCal (mainly the Valley) have much of a fighting game scene? Ever since Super Arcade shut down I haven't known of any spots that host weekly tournaments and whatnot.

What's the best place to go to for Fighting Game info? I feel like some of my sources are outdated.
Pick a specific game->Game specific IRCs/chats->Search out tournament player friends for personal help->forums/online guides->official printed guides

What you should do from left to right. If you don't have friends who actually compete you can use the internet to learn from them there. In my experience you'll have an easier time looking for them in game specific chats/online programs like GGPO or skype and these are some of the very same people who write the most in depth online guides to boot.

Dunno what's sillier- the goofy fake marvel 4 discussion or the fact that most of the people in the discussion never really played marvel 3.
