Sorry! I misread! It's

5.1f - 360
6.4f - PS3/(best guess as arcade)
7.2f PS4

PC is probably the same as arcade as well due to V-Sync and the native set up. It's worth noting that PS3 is somewhere like a frame and a half behind instead of just one frame solid.
PC is the same as 360 with V-Sync on, turning it off get you even less delay but with tearing and some bugs(different frames on some moves, not sure if got patched though).

Edit: Sorry, the bugs are from turning off the "fixed framerate" setting as Kumubou pointed.

Hmmm you sure? If so that's a bit weird, I remember V-Sync being the issue with added input lag.

The work they're putting in on the shaders. Game looks fantastic.
ryu's gi looks extremely dirty here. dude must freaking smell like an fgc ballroom with no air conditioner.

You're thinking of two different settings. You can turn v-sync on or off (and having v-sync on can induce additional input delay, as frames are being buffered to be displayed) and there's also the framerate setting, which should always be set to fixed or you start seeing weird gameplay oddities (to the point where I wonder why it's even a setting in the game).

Not enough to make it a terrible game though at all. Its super fun and I'm glad im in, but I feel ya on those things though the weapon content doesn't bother me. I enjoy continuing content. I got well over half a year out of Hyrule Warriors just on them adding more stuff to it as it went on. I don't really mind setting up a game to be content driven over time like that. Just a preference thing.
yeah it's testament to how good the core gameplay is that you just shrug off the bad parts. How the movement system interacts with the painting mechanic is the best part of the game imo

V-Sync does add lag, but while playing locally, it's still the same as the input lag in the 360 version. Playing online though, because the netcode was worse than the 360 version, it's better to turn it off to remove the ~2 frames of lag it cause and make the netcode more tolerable, but then you'd have to live with the tearing... :(

Tanya is super cool. My type of character aesthetically but not her gameplay style. Too mobile and setup based for my slow brain. I'm looking forward to seeing Tanya mains figure her out.

This really. Movement was always lacking in the genre and in recent years folks have really tried to shake that up. Splatoon did a great job by getting this so right.

I get the feeling folks who like Jade might get into her. She has the poke game. Though if they were into Jade for the armor though maybe they won't dig Tanya after all.

I'm loving her overhead stuff. Plus the golden sparkle when she teleports is beautiful and makes me dig her presentation a lot. Very happy they listened to those of us complaining on her early model's face and proportions. Me and several others were pretty loud and specific on what was messed up and how it could be fixed early on. They took the online opinion stuff on the jawline, eyes, shoulder width, and hips and just seemed to follow those suggestions perfectly without oversexing one bit. She's perfect and everything I wish Raven had looked like. I get the feeling she was revealed way too early in her model's sculpt. This and the cutscene Tanya don't really feel bad like that initial teaser walk on.

I was most excited for Tremor and Tanya. So far Tanya delivers but I won't lie...I really enjoy how threatening Jason Vorhees is out there. His armor and teleports make me quite happy. Most play his slasher for the projectile and range, but I love his teleport style.

Tanya so far in Naginata has me smiling. Hoping Tremor is the Shazam style grappler I'm looking for. I really digged Shazam's jumping elbow starter late in Injustice into ex grab/low grab/wall bounce combo. Rhythm of his grab combos felt sooooooooo good and his neutral was tight.

Hmmm I wonder if the tiny bit of delay on most PCs is native GPU stuff instead then. Or drivers? Iunno.

Yes, some people had triple buffering forced on the game through GPU drivers which does add more delay than regular V-sync.

Actually kinda surprised they released this patch so early. It honestly looks like the game was just released a week early and they already knew about the issues.

They probably knew about alot of the stuff a while back and somebody made the business decision to just get the base game out.

Patches have to go through qa and cert as well. It was probably in the que the whole time.

please stop reminding me of nightmares. people do not know how to use a shower or shut up during a match cause they're doing live commentary by themselves.

So it looks like ps4 is safe to get after this patch. Good news.

well thats great to hear, im still wary on it being you know, buggy... lets say theoretically the game is the same as the 360 version minus the sound glitch after a week, why couldnt they delay the damn game for a week then?!

lol, just wait man. shit is gonna go nuts sooner or later.

My thoughts exactly, they fixed so much in a week that I'm surprised they didn't just hold off the release date for one more week. It would have a made a pretty big difference. Sure their would still be some glitches and the input lag, but I think it would have caused a much less uproar and let them focus their efforts on just those two things.

BTW, I'm seeing reports that it still has more input lag than PS3. Personally I'm doing fine but if it's still a problem I hope it gets fixed because I still think Capcom will eventually make the PS4 version mandatory at some point during the 2015 CPT.

Yeah, very quick turnaround especially considering how much different information they had thrown at them and shit kept coming and coming throughout the week.

The public are the best testers, we as fighting gamers should all know this.

Triple buffered vsync has less input lag than regular (double buffered) v-sync, as it doesn't cause the renderer to stall waiting for the buffer to flip (which can get really ugly if the framerate drops below the target refresh rate, since now you have studdering and even more input delay as any dip below the refresh rate now causes the refresh rate to get cut in half).

The only real problem is that Microsoft doesn't allow the option in Direct3D drivers because Reasons. Probably the same reasons why they never fixed the extra frame of input delay in D3D 9 on Windows 7 (jerks).

It takes about a week to get patch certified at the minimum. I know Enzo is going to ask me for credentials so I will just tell him to go follow the Witcher 3 patching schedule where even though the most recent PC patch has been released, the same one for consoles still hasn't been released due to certification.

For these guys to have picked up on the problem after release they would have to have fixed the game in a couple of days to push out the patch today. Either that or the patch was in certification before release and this patch was supposed to be like the day 1 patch for the game (which many games have nowadays).

The other possibility is that Sony allowed them to by pass certification and they actually fixed the stuff in a week and released patch as soon as it was done.

It's all just extremely fishy to me. Oh well, at least this has ended on a better note.

It's a bit strange as from what I remember, the Japanese didn't like playing on the ps3 because it was laggy to them. I would think they know the most about arcade timing. Are you guys sure we can trust the results from that test?

Chances are the arcade monitor is less laggy than consumer hdtvs tho. PS3 input lag would exacerbate the issue, which might lead folks to preferring 360 even despite having arcade experience.
