A word that some consider racist, especially African American. Again, I'm not afraid to say because I'm totally desensitized but ill refrain as to not offend anyone and I think the "safe way" to say it is just stupid sounding lol.

Edit: so I'm thinking about EVO next year. Can anyone share total expenses for their trip? Hotel, flight, etc? I just want a general idea of how much I should save up

Trying to get my PS3 Madcatz TE stick to work on my machine. I put it in, drivers install, I go to windows devices, it detects the stick, knows it's a TE, and it has absolutely no issues detecting it. the test shows my joystick works and all buttons work.

Run SFIV on my PC, the stick works 100% fine.

Run AE on my pc, and only the buttons get detected (it wont detect the stick itself).

any advice on fixing it, fightingaf?

Switch your stick to RS
 
So I went to AX with some friends, played some casuals umvc3 and was doing pretty well considering I stopped playing the game seriously the 4th month after vanilla release and still using old school team EG (shulk, wolv, akuma). Played against this guy using she-hulk, hulk, dante and was getting bodied by hulk.



turns out I was playing casuals with Airotola for like 4-5 hours. Didn't even know it was him until his friends called out his name rofl.

Off to possibly play some more casuals and maybe enter the tourney today. I wonder if I'll see some top players come again (fanatiq came last year).

PS3 MadCatz TEs are a bit of a bitch to get working on PC. It's picky about which USB ports it likes to work with. Mine would only work 100% on the slots in the back of my desktop, so maybe try a different port. Nabs advice could be the trick too.

This is partially why I ended up buying a Hori stick when it went on sale for $100. Have had zero issues with it on PC.

You might be better off posting this in the arcade stick thread, you'll probably get more responses.

I don't have a PS3 TE myself but I've heard that some PC motherboards refuse to recognize it correctly so you might want to look into that.
 
I just remembered this, but there is a UMvC3 Tougeki Qualifier in Japan tonight. Kyukyoku Jinrui Tournament in Ooyama Newton in Tokyo. 1st and 2nd place earn Tougeki spots. It's probably easier to open people up with Dorm than Doom. Doom has to get his ass to his opponent then do a mix up when Dorm can just teleport.

Though I guess its harder for Dorm to follow up.
