Fighting Games Weekly | Nov 17-23 | Settle it in Smash

I'm loner for life. I love going to movies by myself as well. I watch what I wanna. I don't talk to anybody in there anyways. Plus getting an empty theater, and getting those sweet middle/mid high seat. Fucking cool man.

Especially when you have an independent cinema. My local independent is going through all the Studio Ghibli films.

Well it's not like DeeJay players have friends.

Is DeeJay a character in USFIV?

FGW | When all the characters are on-screen, they should all be saying "Who is DeeJay"?

I agree with the "get over it" sentiment. Not in the "this game is dumb/bad/not my fave" way, but in the "you probably should've seen this coming and complaining won't really do anything" way.
Same. You see the same thing in other games w (some) Legacy (MTG) or 3s players, and its always super-obnoxious. Yes, the game is going to be different. Yes, it's going to be trying to accommodate newer/less-skilled players. No, that isn't inherently a bad thing nor does it make it a bad game.

I don't think I've ever used online training mode in any of the fighting games that have it. Maybe I should give it a shot. I guess it could be useful if you don't want to have to record dummy actions yourself and just let your friend do them instead.

This thread is so going to community. It'll be hilarious if Bish posts something on this page and pulls the trigger with Shouta.

I wouldn't eat at a restaurant (assuming we're not talking about fast food here) alone or go to a movie alone. Don't really have an issue with it, I just think the social experience is what makes it, except for when you have that one friend that constantly wants to have a conversation about what just happened throughout the entire movie. If I wanted to eat alone I'd just heat up a Swanson fried chicken dinner or some shit at home and watch old comedy specials or something.

This is pretty much how I feel but I wouldn't heat up from fried chicken dinner, I'd order chinese food and regret it as I ate it and watch the cooking channel.

edit:

turtle, we'll play soon, gotta get a few things resolved before i get back into gaming.

Had a good friend like that in high school. "Come with me man" all the time. Couldn't even go to his locker without coordinating some base level of socialization and companionship. Some niggas are hella extravert
People like this are a tier beneath the average human to me. I used to work building maintenance at my dorm, and me and another guy got put on a special projects team together. Cleaning areas no one ever touched, crap like that. He wanted me to come with him everywhere even though it made more sense for work efficiency for us to be separate. Eventually he asked to be put on the painting crew, and told everyone he got tired of special projects because we never did anything, and he was bored. Bullshit, he was just a child in a man's body and couldn't handle working alone. So he went to paint crew, and took afternoon naps with everyone else.

I play DeeJay :(

I do love dem empty theaters!

welp

well, there are times when you want to go to the movies just because, then it's a social experience: you call friends and go have a nice time watching some movie you don't really care that much, but sometimes you wanna watch the movie, then it's better to go alone imo

Still no character trials for USF4.

"There will be no new trials available at the time of the Ultra Street Fighter 4 digital upgrade launch," a Capcom representative said, "but stay tuned, as we'll have more news to share on this topic shortly after the digital upgrade version is released."

Has there ever been a news update on this? I think it's safe to say it's been "shortly after" and then some.

Just saw the Project M new characters.

Daaaaaamn, entirely new moves and character types (i don't remember any other sword draw/sheath fighting style moves in smash?)

It's next level shit.

I don't like the ringout system fundamentally, so I'll never enjoy it, but I applaud what Project M does and the level of passion shown.

I only wish we could get something like that with [any 2.5D fighting game on the market currently].

I remember people doing moveset changes with SF4 PC, that basically looked like exactly what Omega Mode is doing, but it's a shame that other communities are complaisant to accepting whatever the devs put out most recently in their competitive circle, and there isn't the same kind of drive to try to get the best possible game out of the engines of these games that the Brawl backlash created.

I wish modern fighting games had the same kind of mod culture of classic PC games, and we could see entirely new games made as total conversions with easier development from the starting point of a base game.

I also wish there was a MUGEN 2 or Fighter Maker 2015 with modern features.

Deejay will be buffed before new trials are released.

Saving this post so I can bump it in 10 years when Deejay gets buffed

There actually has never been one in any of the three (now four) games and as a guy with an inner kid who holds Rurouni Kenshin in far too high esteem, it's criminal that it hasn't happened yet. Based Lyn looking to save me once and for all though.

I'm pretty sure people in here won't give a shit but a new Jojo ASB game got (supposedly) leaked! I'm hype as fuck, I loved the first game....after the patches

Capcom Jojo was fun as hell to play casually and was amazing looking (snd half invented anime fighters?). I couldn't get into ASB at all :(

Hm... Hoping that it's on a platform that allows 60 fps. And I want Rohan to not suck.
