Congrats Max!
It may be because Sony wants the PS4 pushed more?
damn i think silky got perma banned.... you can only get banned so many times before they pull the trigger.
Damn, really?! That's awesome to hear after how shitty the netcode in Brawl was.Add me up if you're at home now - I won't he home for a few hours. NNID is Karsticles.
A+ on the 3DS, and I hear even better on the Wii U.
thank namco for the netcode and not nintendo.Damn, really?! That's awesome to hear after how shitty the netcode in Brawl was.
Why do you think it's a perma? From his Twitter comments it looked like a normal ban.

8 player smash is truth.
Unless your amiibo wins.
I think there is an Xrd tournament going on

FAB just destroyed Millia...
- Wii U stages >>>>>>>>>>>> 3DS stages
I don't see what those two incidents have to do with standardization of equipment, though. It's not as if the players smuggled aimbots in via their keyboard or something.
I guess you can make an argument for using organizer-provided Steam accounts, but wouldn't players want to use their own cosmetics?
8 player matches are hilarious!

I just played a bunch of Night Warriors: Darkstalkers Revenge matches online on 360 and I remembered how much I love that game. Game is too dope.
this doesn't make any sense. the csgo cheaters were only able to use the hack in online matches. i'm pretty sure you know that tournaments are ran in an offline setting which means there's no way you can cheat using 3rd-party programmes.http://www.pcgamer.com/csgo-competi...-hacking-scandal-as-three-players-are-banned/
Just saw this.
I really think majors should use standardized, you must use this stick or this pad controls. It's the only way to ensure everyone's on a level playing field. I can understand locals and regionals who can't get MCZ sponsorship not having it, but it should be standardized (maybe allow a choice of standard sticks so teams like RZR can still use sticks, but they have to be fresh sticks)
Costs might be kinda high though- and I'm sure every TO would be wary of Sanford.
Yeah, but the equivalent would be something like bringing a keyboard with a custom layout to a Starcraft tournament or something, not an ingame cheat.Meant to apply this to fighters as well- would avoid the Full Schedule and plink-select mod issues.
Or someone bringing in a modded keyboard as a stick (someone did this a few years back)

Referring more to a Full Schedule type stick, or Daigo's custom select-plink stick. (which I think gives him an unfair advantage over folks who don't have it)
Then again, in the old days you had player side advantage in arcades due to busted sticks in tournies.
It might be a good idea to drop the word unfair. Advantage, yes.
Wait a minute: so "unfair advantage" is an oxymoron, here? Because I don't see how an advantage external and artificial to the game isn't qualified as an unfair advantage.
it's not unfair because the 'advantage' is not exclusive for a select few players. everyone can go for select button plink or add extra buttons but most decide not to do so.
Furthermore that would mean using any controller ever was an unfair advantage, because all common input methods have their strengths and weaknesses.
I just think if it requires hardware modification, and isn't just cosmetic, it shouldn't be allowed.
Ooh we're back to that part where people argue about input devices
Yeah I always forget what an amazing job they did with the Soul Calibur V netcode. I don't really remember TTT2 though, since I rarely played it online.thank namco for the netcode and not nintendo.
Gotta break in this GC controller.
Shit mad stiff.
