Fighting Games Weekly | Sept 8-14 | Fining Nemo

Not to mention that with the coming KOF released we'll have three on Steam. Lets give another series a chance.

Honestly I question how much they're willing to risk with their IPs so I'm not sure we wouldn't get yet another KoF before any of the other series

SNKP? Risk?

hhahahahahahahaha I don't expect SamSho, Last Blade, Garou, etc. for a /while/. If KOFXIV doesn't take off for them then we'll have to wait another 2-3 years for a sequel.

Though I'm glad SNK's branching out of Pachishit.

I don't really think releasing Rom dumps of fighting games will be that successful for them on PC.

I mean ggpo has existed for years.

So...basically Capcom's traditional method of "balancing" - nerfing all the fun stuff into oblivion instead of improving the lower tier characters.

Some characters just suck because the game mechanics just aren't in their favor e.g Dhalsim in A2. Every limb he puts out is a free alpha counter from full screen away. In theory, making alpha counter cost 50% more meter should help him more than just straight buffing his damage, hitbox, etc but no one uses Dhalsim in A2 or A2Gold so we'll never know.

Well Final Edition will be successful considering that's a brand new game that's difficult to play due to it's NESiCA release iirc.

Both 2002UM and 98FE are based off the NESiCA versions so I would assume they're completely different emulations from the XBLA releases in regards to 02UM.

You'd be surprised how successful a simple ROM dump can be. I mean...a lot of people bought Marvel 2.

That wasn't just a rom dump was it? Menu changes aside, I remember the distance to the sides on some stages being a little different when I played it (Visually, but I think the actual distance was the same) . I remember commentators saying that the sides on 360/ps3 version messed up some of the players because they didn't know if they actually had their back to the wall.

I assume their marketing is based around the different release dates in different territories.

Seems like anyone who wants it already is going to buy it so if the idea behind a demo is to attract more pre order sales or day one sales then releasing it now seems more productive than a few days prior to release.

Granted I don't know the AC framedata difference between A2 and A3, but it seems that the sped up limbs in A3 would be enough to make him viable (beyond giving him the A3 airthrow of doom)

I'm there most Sundays to play Ultra and goof around on other stuff.

There are other UK fgc people talking on FGW.

Cool cool. I work in London now so I've been going to HoG a lot more often(after work on Fridays). Probably end up sleeping on the couch or something D:

That being said, send a PM if you ladies are ever gong down and we'll get some GGs in......and some Stepmania practice.

found the vid. apparently women's fgc .
