Best fried chicken. Goes so good with their gravy. The spaghetti is sweet, but the hot dog is fun. It's delicious junk food.

Its a dessert but I absolutely love biko. Lots of countries have variations on sweet and sticky rice dishes but biko is the best.

BadBurger

Many “Whelps”! Handle It!
I just made Filipino style canton noodles yesterday, hah. The Filipino place near me closed down. I miss their chicken adobo and lumpia.

How do you make it? It has such a unique flavor. What are the ingredients?
They're many different ways to make it, this is how I do it.

In a pot add the following:

1 cup Soy Sauce
1 cup White Vinegar
1 cup Water
As long as the liquids are 1:1 ratio

1 Tablespoon Pepper
5 cloves garlic peeled (I usually use garlic powder)
3 bay leaves (optional)

Then to the pot add Bone in Chicken thighs, skin side down and bring to a boil leave for 30 minutes with lid on.
After 30 mins take lid off and flip chicken thighs over.
Continue to simmer with lid off for another 30 minutes.

Serve over white rice in a bowl
Garnish with some green onions and pour over a little of that liquid into the bowl.

No exagerration love these foods, Ilocano 100%

Fried Silit- Fried Intestines
Dinakdakan-Pork Guts and Brain (taste like eggs)
Dinardaraan (Diniguan for you tagalog folk) pork blood stew
Pinakbet-staple food

If you ever find yourself in San Francisco, look up a food truck called Senor Sisig.

When it comes to food I would not steer you (or anyone else) in the wrong direction. Trust me, I’m fat.

I would seriously laugh out loud if we met each other as I was regular and made small talk with other regulars. That tosilog burrito with vinegar is sin wrapped in a 12 inch tortilla.

Filipino here, and I'm happy you people from other countries have taken a liking for our local cooking.

Sisig is always my go to food, both as a meal and something to introduce to newcomers. Here's a nice video detailing the dish's origins:

I personally prefer the sisig served on a hot plate. Makes it extra crispy just the way I like it.

Other foods you should try are Bicol Express (pork and chilies cooked in coconut milk);

And Crispy Pata (deep fried pork knuckle):

If you're feeling adventurous, you should give Papaitan a try. It's goat's innards cooked in a bile stew. Yeah, I know it sounds disgusting, but trust me when I say it's delicious.

Seriously, Filipino food needs more exposure. I consider it Southeast Asian soul food.

Well, I've never seen anyone compare our cuisine to soul food. But I think it's apt, since the Philippines has never been particularly rich and has always made do with some unusual ingredients, much like American sould food.

Azelover

Titanic was called the Ship of Dreams, and it was. It really was.
Just popping in to say their fried chicken is sensational.

I had no idea before I moved to Dubai.

Also Buko Pandan is the shit:
