Welp, time to dust off that Final Fantasy 7 fanfiction I wrote back in 2001.
Yeehaw!
That's what I figured, just making sure.100%
I'm wondering what kind of reaction this remake has had on Japan and if this release will have an impact on the market there?
Because Lightning was designed to be Cloud with a different hair style.
Yeah and compare that to Advent Children, Kingdom hearts where he actually had normal arms like an adult. The current ones and the ones from the original artwrok are grotesque.
Lol2020 couldn't come sooner.
Yeah. I agree. Probably closer to 2025.
It'll happen next year. This reminded me:
I HAVE TO SEE MAH GURL TIFA IN HD
to be clear...lightning looks like cloud.Cloud looks like Lightning with a different hair style. It's like he's never had to shave a day in his life.
Did anybody noticed that Cloud's arms has veins, like someone buffed?
Seriously, I swear I saw that detailed in one part of the video. And I liked it.
My first thought was that it's the ATB system with cinematic attack sequences. Someone correct me on this if I am wrong.
No, there's ample evidence that turn-based died in the AAA space in terms of sales and marketability. That's the thing though, there was zero indication turn-based died in the AAA space as far as marketability goes. It was a combination of external factors and not an actual sales decline like every other genre death in existence.
The only argument that could be made that people prefer action over turn-based is "they're more used to it now", which I'd also say is bullshit.
Persona 4 has party AI, but if you turn it off you have full party control. So does Persona 4 not have full party control because the game has party AI?If there's party AI, you don't have full party control.
But man, that framerate during combat is rough. Seems like 15fps.
Level 99 arms vs Level 1 arms
Arms get bigger as you level up confirmed
There's no ATB gauge anywhere on the UI.
I am getting a 80s/90s anime vibe from this trailer (Akira, Ghost in the Shell). Very pleased. I like the straight-forward dialogue and voice-acting; it works for this kind of sci-fi fantasy nonsense. Loving the orchestrated music too.

FFXIII was there first FF. The poor children think FF's are assigned random numbers too.to be clear...lightning looks like cloud.
No, there's ample evidence that turn-based died in the AAA space in terms of sales and marketability.
The evidence comes in the form of the failed products of Lost Odyssey, Blue Dragon, The Last Remnant, whose sales are clearly not up to snuff with PS2 turn-based JRPGs. The new RPG IPs of last generation that released to critical positivity and high sales are Mass Effect and The Witcher (action RPGs), both of which have multiple sequels and continued upwards sales trends. Of note is how FF13 took years to crawl to 6 million sales, while The Witcher 3 hit 6 million in 4 weeks. When even the big name Final Fantasy can't sell a "turn-based" system, it's futile to claim that AAA console turn-based can do the kinds of numbers Skyrim (20 million), Fallout (about 12 million to day for Fallout 3, but 12 million day one for Fallout 4), and The Witcher are doing.
If you insist a turn-based JRPG can sell very well and merit an AAA budget, then present the evidence for it.

Can´t wait for a new Parasite Eve to look like this.

yea.
Hmm, OK... I see... Yeah...
Can´t wait for a new Parasite Eve to look like this.
His arms were skinny as fuck in Advent Children too, I don't know what the guy is talking about.
to be clear...lightning looks like cloud.
He's always looked like a boy-band reject, and I'd always assumed he was a teenager? How old is he?
It'll happen next year.
Hopefully.
Just make a sequel.Parasite Eve Remake would be fucking sick.

PS1 Cloud didn't have those lips and Lightning-esque facial expressions.
I fail to see what is so jarring about Cloud's physique in remake.
PS1 Cloud didn't have those lips and Lightning-esque facial expressions.
So is it confirmed that its using UE4?
Nobody looked like a human being in the PS1 era a lot of the time >_>
AC cloud did though, who was before Lightning by like 5 years..

Watch accurately the beams - they're non-branching, which is a specific issue of Cascade (the UE4 particle editor)
There's also some artefacts on the ribbons, and the fire looks very much like the default UE4 fire.
If it's not UE4, they sure have a particle editor that is very much like UE4's. Like, a carbon copy.
Cloud looks so sickly and anorexic![]()
