Yeah dude I'm with you. My team has Fran and Vivi because I love them, idgaf. Haven't really had any trouble with content.
A little late but for me it sure felt like they've nerfed the SC drop. I used to get 2-4 very often, but during the past week the two days I did Awakening I've gotten a lot of 0's, and have never seen a run with more than 2.
JP just got Dagger that has dualwield. So there is use for Penelos TM...
Nope, just rng. Yesterday & today made some INT runs and almost every run got atleast 1 SC sometimes more than one.

They should boost the chance to pull a banner units to 50% instead of 30%.
I'm interested to see what happens with this banner. The odds are out there on both GAF and Reddit, and everyone knows this is a shit show. I have to agree though - it isn't going to get any better.

Nope. I've trying to figure out Kuja's niche for awhile. I thought that his niche was being a jack of all trades in spells, but Tellah outperforms him in that regard rather easily with a much more attractive base spell package. Spellblading would indeed be his forte for the reasons you mention.
That said, the prevailing logic here is that Blade type spells are only up to the -ra categora (outside of a few TMs), which is going to make finding high damaging blade abilities difficult to obtain.
All in all, I can see how it can be done, but like all non-tip-top tier characters, it is going to take a lot of work to set up correctly.

The problem with this is the fact that there are very few hybrid characters that are simply outclassed by specialists. A good comparison, to some extent, would be Garland. He has a much higher attack and some decent magic but his kit is full of spells without the default MAG to back it up. This changes somewhat with his 6* though.
Kuja has decent MAG but his kit is so lacking in offensive options that even if you attempt to boost his attack, it will make his spell casting suffer even more.
Kuja also does have one of the best damn sprites in the game!!
And yes we get the Cowboy Knife eventually and it is amazing.
As much as I love this game, if we keep getting banners like these I'll probably quit. I have a difficult enough time getting one decent pull out of a hundred, now my chances have decreased dramatically.
I considered spending money on this game, but definitely won't support these practices. I quit one piece because I could never pull good characters and could never clear all of the difficult content. This game is starting to follow the same route.

Those are going to be interesting distractions (+ Cactaur Dunes as well this weekend) from the current event dungeon.
Of course, the 64 million gil question is: "As Global is now obviously different from JP, just how valuable will those HP + 15% abilities be given that they will likely never be available again in the future and that the only superior option (Amarant's TM), is all but impossible to roll?"

Its a fantastic exploration
You get great crafting materials, Magicite, Cactuars and Turtles, and of course the event items... which are actually the least attractive part.
I might just grind the 20 stones and start focusing on leveling lower tier parties and crafting (avoiding Ainsel altogether)

You are right. If you can tolerate grinding out all of the encounters each run, the rewards are actually quite good (except meh rank xp). Kind of hard to tolerate doing that all day, however. If the Jumbo Cactaur spawns on the first floor, you can walk away with approximately 100-105k unit xp per 15 energy.
The mathematicians on Reddit have woken up and calculated the correct expected rates for the 7 banner, should it go as expected.
Lani/Vivi: 12.5% each.
Amarant/Frejya/Kuja/Zidane: 1.125% each
Garnet: 0.5%
Garnet = Lightning, lol.

Yeah the worst part of the event is the time it takes
You kind of have to pick between a competent team (to score materials) or a leveling team (40+ units you want to snag a few levels for)
The best rewards are the cactuars, crafting mats and magicite though

Nah. I'm largely F2P and I can get all but like the Top 10% of individual rewards during these events. Those are usually like Pots lol. I haven't had any trouble getting all of the unique gear/skills during raid events.
JP has had several 6-unit banners including for FFT, FF13, and DQMSL.

At least Cecil is a 3 star base but yeah..
Rates are WAY to low. Should be 50% banner pull and a more even split after that
Plus they should have some system to shift rates towards units you dont already own just a bit
would reduce the sting a little

Platinum Star Ocean 4 was on masochist levels of absurd. I tried and failed, and i platinum some crazy stuff like Ninja Gaiden 2.

If the rates are truly as bad as project for the next banner and continue to be so in the future, wouldn't that make pulling the Rare Summon banner (the normal one) the better option in the vast majority of cases?

I feel pretty lucky with the team I've assembled and definitely don't think I need to pull on any banners anytime soon. But my question for those in the know, is what kind of power creep are we looking at with this game? Basically, will my AAA team become obsolete?
