I've hit a wall at S3's boss (
). I could only get the boss down to ~20% with my team.
5* lvl 57 Cecil
5* lvl 64 Lasswell
5* lvl 69 Rain
4* MAX Krile w/ Blind
4* MAX Bedile
If it is able to be blinded or poisoned, I simply had the worst luck because they never stuck. :/
Edit: I did 2 pulls to try and beef up my team: 3* Russell, 4* Fran. She starts with Bio, so I'll probably replace Bedile with her when she hits 60.

Well, saved up 5k lapis and decided to buy the 11 tickets to try and get some of the higher tier units before too many are added to the pool. Got a 2nd Vaan and 2nd Cecil, Terra, Shantotto, Zidane, Cerius, Luna, Galuf, Krile, Russell and Maria. Would have loved to get a CoD or Exdeath(or both) but I'm happy with what I got. A lot more useful trust rewards now to grind out 
For Jpn players, is it worth the grind to level LB's? Thinking of keeping Vaan and Cecil at 3* to make grinding their lb's easier, is there much difference if you do or is it not really worth it?

Those are some pretty good pulls.
Very few LBs are worth it, Cecil is one of those characters who has a LB worth grinding, but even then I'd recommend to maybe just wait until they add LB pots.
Thanks. Regarding trust rewards, do you get one per copy of a character you get to 100% or is it just one reward overall?
One per copy, Cecil+Cecil+Zidane+Luna+Terra would be a neat trust team.
All at the same time, but it's not very good tbh.

Mostly because of how they are handled mathematically in this game
20% reduction is pretty lame but at least its permanent
I'm assuming when it's released over here it'll have a bit more content, otherwise yeah, it'll be DOA for me at least.
Mostly because you'll get party buffs that give +40% atk/def to everyone and in crucial moments you'll have that buff going. Those buffs made all the single target shell/protect spells pretty much irrelevant.

They should really rebalance all the abilities and make everything more viable with stat scaling and equipment bonuses
As it is now the game is kind of broken strategically even though is has the structure to be a truly compelling turned based game
I guess thats to be expected since its not ATB... When your whole party always goes first and is front loaded...
Wellllll, if they do it like in Brave Frontier, we'll end up with bosses with HP in the trillions with total status immunity who no amount of front-loading will one-shot and trying to do so will wipe you out in a single turn.

I just hate the obsolescence setup in the game
Eventually your party setup will boil down to a set group of characters and abilities with no more room for strategy and experimentation
I get thats the Idea behind Gacha games though

I would think there would be a lot more people playing once it's officially released. I know I'm super hyped for the release and I'm sure a bunch of others here and on other forums are too. I've got to imagine the game should be released in a week or two. I guess we'll find out during E3.

Protectga and Shellga are in the game too and those are 40% boosts to defense and mind.
Finally defeated the White Dragon with this team :
ExDeath 5* lvl 67
Lasswell 4* lvl 60
Rain 4* lvl 60
Rizer 2* lvl 29
Anastasis 3* lvl 38
So yeah, only ExDeath and Lasswell did enough damage, Rize was here trying to paralyze him but failed and died horribly, Lasswell's Mirage helped a lot, and it would have been easier if I grinded ExDeath's exp a bit more for auto-regen.
It's also my 9th day since I started playing.

I've been debating on whether I should keep saving lapis or do a pull since I have 5k+. I got Vaan, Lasswell, Garland, Vivi, and Rain but I want to replace Garland and Vivi for better or different units. I'm also hoping I can get a Terra since that is my most desired unit at the moment. Should I keep strong and wait for maybe the games release where there might be a rate up for better chances at getting better units or should I just pull now and hope for the best?

Second pull was Medius \o_ and then grabbed Krile too. Used all my Jumbocactuars and Krile is now 55 level & Medius is 5* and 54 level
Now my party is: Vaan / Krile / Lasswell (4*) / Medius / Shantotto

thats only for 3 turns and for 50 mp... thats a lot of mp... auto shell/protect is permanent... mp management is really difficult in this game and keep active skills like that.
For trash mobs and encounters the buffs won't matter and for Boss fights you'll gladly eat up that mp cost.

I hate how character level is tied to Star rating
I think all characters should be allowed to hit 100 and remain viable while the rare gacha ones have access to better base stats and unique skills
Here's the new gacha image for the upcoming JP version FF II event. 3 original characters, 3 FF II chars -- Emperor, Leon and Guy.
Rather liking the new original sword Lady. Looks like she has Kamina Glasses, haha.
I've been in the mood to do a 5k pull, will probably do one during that event.
Also really curious to see what 6* Firion will be like. Hope he's op

Nah, that's a worse style. New forms give characters a chance to gain new skills that bring them up to pair with the current strength of more recent characters as a new star form can be seen as a reincarnation of the character. Just raising their cap doesn't do anything for them, they'd just be a higher level but still be useless.

Crossing my fingers that Firion gets some high tier skills @ 6*. He's one of my favorite characters since the first Dissidia. Well, I also need to cross my fingers that I eventually pull him, I guess.
I feel like in these downtimes, I'm more prone to wanting to pull some premium pulls, just because the endless grind needs something to break it up. I'm at least going to wait until tomorrow for a chance at Celes. Would love either a Vaan or CoD/ExDeath though. My only real weak spot is a second DPS to go along with Bartz.

I have several 3 star characters that would be very useful to me right now if they could only go past 40

Yeah, they'd probably be useful now but their overall usefulness wouldn't still match up and it'd be much harder to raise them to the next star level. XP needed to level becomes much higher as you get closer to 100 and the gil costs go up. In the long run, it's better that they cap it low so you can quickly raise them. Additionally, it makes it even more important to

Fran is casting Bio, Vivi casts blind until he's blind, then bio. Cyan is blade bashing, Kain is jumping.
I have Rain just attacking, should I swap him out? Does DeShell help inflict statuses?

Switched Rain for Rizer, Vivi learned Dual Black, got a poison to stick and wrecked him.
Double Edit: Went to the vortex, beat him again. WD on farm confirmed.
What's next? Just farm the Dragon for exp?

thanks. someone said you get 40 more for not winning pvp too. i just awakened orlandu to 6* and lvl 100. gonna have 400 atk after i buy the event weapon and i just started playing jp a week ago xD
