Congrats Indigo! I was going to pull today but I burned some many resources last night I'm going to wait until the end of the banner (plus as always I have no unit space).
lol! Yeah I got pretty lucky, even though I didn't get the unit I wanted the most. I managed to refrain from spending money which is the major thing for me to take away from this. Haven't spent in 2017 on this game and hoping to keep it that way until maybe the Christmas bundle.

Thanks all! I was itching to pull one more time and held off on the Nier banner, which was tough enough. Saved myself 5k lapis with that lucky ticket. I would like to get the other veritas so I may do some dailies here and there.

5 million point (500 raid summon) got me 95% 9S TMR lol.
and 260% on A2 and 150% on 2B. Needless to say i dont have either of them.
By the way, how many Mechanical Heart TM that i should save for the future?

Also is there any way to see the final raid rankings? I am hoping I didn't get pushed out from the 1k-5k range. I fell asleep trying to get some more moogles last minute but that was around 1130 last night so there was plenty of time for people to go mad and blow past my 3k...

So now that my first raid event in this game has officially finished, I gotta say that was frustrating. 3 TMR each for 2B and 9S. That's extremely low rates considering I was able to play the raid almost on cooldown each time I had orbs. I knew rates in this game were frustrating, but didn't think that extended to things outside of the summons.

You got 3 TM rewards each for 2B and 9S, or just 3 moogles for each unit? The latter definitely sucks... unfortunately, we had 1 fantastic raid a few months ago with moogle rates out the wazoo and since they've been quite shitty.

That's not just you bro, that's all of us. Everything for Nier in terms of summons was fucked. I finished in the top 3000 (running Elt non stop) for the raid and had nowhere near enough moogles to finish a second Pod 153.

Ive benched A2 till I finish her LB (17/20 atm) and just benching 2B while I decide if im gonna level her LB or not

I benched my double Aileen's for double A2's until she gets enhancements. I don't use my 2B's I really just wanted two of her katana. As for main team, well that changes for everything I do. I don't have a set team for anything except arena which is still Noctis x3 and Dark Fina x 2. My team for the story event for instance is double Xon with Pod's Double A2 and a Fry to just have someone else there for specific missions.

Yeesh, 15 tickets used - not a single banner unit, not even the 3*. I even got a rainbow - dupe Trance Terra. 1 10+1 pull, 3 golds, none of them banner units, got 2 Hayate and another rainbow - Dupe Reberta....
Uh..thanks? That's all I'm willing to throw at this banner, and really good rainbow percentage there, but man the banner units are stingy.

3 moogles for each. It's pretty disheartening to spam the raid for almost 2 weeks and have close to nothing to show for it. Not the the kind of quality that makes people want to continue playing.

I was just making a post on this. Right now my main team is looking like EV, WoL, Rikku, DPS (Aileen and Frye mainly), and Noctis. However this really works better when WoL is enhanced, and if Noctis gets an LB change.
The theory is that 124% def and spr, 54% damage mitigation, 40% phys dm, as well as Mechanical Heart on WoL, Rikku, and EV/Noctis' self heal all means that I may be able to get away with just using the healing portion on my second 9S TM. It's risky as it's only going to be healing back around 1500, but that's my theory atm.
If I had pulled A2 I wouldn't run Noctis as I think she kind of makes buffs irrelevant. Seeing as in that comp she's the only one that needs attack buffs and she self buffs there's no need to run someone like enhanced Ramza or buff focused Noctis. Instead I would run Tilith with a high amount of MP regen and have her spam her MP move seeing as A2s issue is MP. The heals are fairly good and with all the damage mitigation and WoL tanking I feel like 2500 would be enough to heal back the a good amount. And again 9S' TM provides an additional amount.
The A2 build has 50% less defence (if Noctis' LB gets buffed) but the heals and mp regen are better, so I kind of prefer that team composition (if I had obtained her). I did some calcs and even though she lacks imperial 250% attack boost puts her around equal in damage to enhanced Aileen. That LB is way too strong lol. That being said you have to spend a turn using that LB and so you lose a bit of damage there.
Edit: Also another big issue with what I'm trying is the reliance on LBs, and the fact that if I get team wiped/reraised I need to setup all over again which can be difficult as I have a lot of passives skills running at once.
Edit #2: Also 2B can potentially go in my first team idea, but I'm waiting on the electric greatsword to become a thing first. Once that is available she could potentially be the best dps I have. 2 electric chaininng 2B with an electric LB Noctis finisher. Sounds clean in theory lol.
2B took Luneth's place for me, which was a marked improvement. A2 stays sidelined for now because I don't have the mats to 6* and dont have the equipment to maximize her potential. Also, personally, I like 2B better, so I'd rather use her.
I guess my 'main' team is WoL, Tilith, Dark Veritas, Aileen, 2B, with one of the DPS/chainers swapping out for Rikku as needed.
Edit: Also with all the event equipment and TMs now it feels really nice to be rocking a DPS with 800 attack. I feel like one of the big leaguers now.
I'm running 2B at the moment since I'm still working on getting the gear to make A2 look respectable.

Ok so seeing some standard fair stuff (tank, healer, x-dps) with either 1 or both replacing other dps units in your teams. Alkez seems to be running something very, very unique and interesting. With all that damage mitigation it should work and I cannot wait to see it in action. When they "buff or unnerf" Noct he's going to be meta again. My setup will be tank (Wilhelm and his ugly ass sprite, the counter god EV, or mr. delayed enhancements WOL), Tilith, 2B, A2, Fry. From a chaining perspective I need to take everyone into the training dummy and see what I can make happen. When I was running 2 - 2B, Landu, and Fry I could get 42 chains on Engels. Same with running 2 Landu, Fry, and 2B, or 2B, Fry, Landu, A2. It wasn't consistent but it was indeed possible. This is with chaining their native abilities and not the pod ability. For consistency if I can keep both A2 and 2B above a 1050 atk minimum threshold while both running Pod, i may make that their perm setup. My issue with them is the lack of either native imperil for elemental weapons or my lack of Ace, the god of imperil. Elemental damage is too powerful to be overlooked. We've all grown so accustomed to using Landu/Fry for their imperils and while A2/2B have higher atk than them the imperils more than make up for the "more stats" damage.
Not that it's a massive loss, but is anyone else unable to see the Veritas banner now? It's gone for me, but it was there this morning. Tried closing and reopening the app and still not there (Android, if it matters).
Also, having the Chamber of Crystals the day after losing the Raid that gave us by far the most crystals kind of makes it seem like a huge waste of energy.

Round 1: My first Shadow. Nothing else to really note.
Round 2: TWO RAINBOWS! Aileen (WTF? SRLSY?) and then they counted the 10% Moogle as your 11th pull. Why? That was a given. Why would you put that in a Rainbow?? Shouldn't that be given? Why did you waste a slot? Sigh.
Round 3: 3 more Shadows and a Fohlen. A FOHLEN?? REALLY? Oh my god. I can just go crawl in a hole now. I don't really like him all that much on my alt.

Isn't Aileen a good thing lol? She's like the DPS godess on JP, and she chains with Camille which gives you options. What were you aiming for?
I did 1 11 for OK. Got a horrid pull so took my 10% ticket and ran. If 7 is next week I'm ready.
Ironically I got the idea from you lol. I don't know if you remember but back in the day you, Pejo, and myself were discussing "hyper offence" teams (to borrow a term from Pokémon) with the idea of removing a tank or healer for more damage, without losing the consistency of the team. I essentially wanted to make the reverse of that. A team that had access to all the new defensive options we have right now, while still maintaining the damage I'm able to put out normally. I felt like removing the buffer was the best action as it's a role that can be done by another unit without it being their primary action. It's why I wanted to run A2, with Rikkus LB being the defensive buff.
Without A2 I needed to reintroduce the buffer, which made me think about our conversation back then and wonder if right now it's possible to remove the healer. Mechanical Heart + WoL's innate version of it means he can practically full heal on his own. If he's taking most of the hits do I really need healing? Only testing will tell I guess.

People on Reddit saying that different banner's are taking you to a different summon than intended. So it's possible you pulled on something that wasn't rate ups for the Veritas, yes.
Ugh, I've been hard pulling for Light Veritas on GF's account, and we've gotten two Luneras(her third) and Marie. This is super annoying.

Weird if you click on the Malboro Killer banner it actually shows up as the Veritas banner. I would probably hold off pulling until they fix that shit just in case.
Edit: So does clicking on the normal rare summon banner. haha Gumi....you ding dongs.

IS she better on JP? I know some things have changed, but I am not impressed with her on GL when I've used guests. I dunno. Maybe she doesn't mesh with way I play? Or is there an actual difference in her in JP? Or is it because enhancements on JP? Because I'm not far enough right now to even worry about enhancements. And when I am I think Tidus will be getting the first round.
What was I wanting? Something we don't have on GL already. Cloud or anything else we don't have. Or maybe I don't have. While I don't have Aileen, she has just never much impressed me.
I will note though, while thinking about it, I did get two Camille (great for TM merging), my first Abel, and my first Zidane. I have choices now for DW. Will continue with Camille's first though.
I kept my ticket too! Not sure when I'll use it but have it ready in case.

She is God tier on JP with her enhancements but she absolutely need to be enhanced. I couldn't be happier with mine.

Ah yeah in JP you'll need her enhancements. I've been using Synstui's every time I go to use my raid orbs. She chains so well with Camille, and with Lunera's +2 song they one shot it.

I didn't pull 2B but I still want to weigh in on main team.
Right now I am still figuring out what I want to do but here is my start (and a lot of this is based on my aigaion trial back and forth, and then the complete steam roll of echidna yesterday): WoL, Ace, Rikku, flex, A2 (partner chainer, preferably A2).
Flex I'm still working on, sunk a ton of TM time on Olive, so even after I gutted her abilities and the ifrit claw she is still at 934. (With 9S TM, 950+ with icy veins). Also The 9S TM and Ace can bridge the gap for 60+ chains.
On the other hand I have Tilith, and Marie. So multiple ways for constant healing without the 9S TM, with Tilith generating MP and Tilith can do the same thing with elemental resistance.
In my current TM hopper I have 3 snows, DKC and a second 9S (though I may swap that back to shine)
EDIT: my summon is only showing Marlboro, 1/2 price and the regular. No veritas banner on my phone...

When is the next round of these banners going to be up? I really want to go in on Healer banner. Though I am pretty sure it was Healer and Support or something else.
Good thing is I capped Camille yesterday. 6*'d Wilhelm and he's now like 80 or so. I would normally work on healer next but I am not enjoying bikini Fina, so will probably work on AIleen next or something.

Rikku is situational IMO and could be swapped for Tilith. Ace should be a staple due to his imperils (god damn I wish I'd pulled for him!!!!) WOL for taking/breaking, A2 cause A2. Second dps/flex, aside from Olive who else do you have on the bench? This is a very strong setup you have!

Oh I remember bro. I've gotten so side tracked by prioritizing dps TM's and not the defensive TM's I needed to bring this to fruition. Now that I have lapis to spare and won't be pulling I'll be able to push tm's quicker once again. Let me step into the lab this weekend and see where I am with making this become a reality lol. I"ll report back soon.

Hell yea dude, that sounds like a fun little experiment. I have been really lagging behind the current meta since everything is chaining now, and I hate using dupe units in a team. Just a few weeks ago I got Orlandu + DV which was my best possible scenario, so it's been fun melting things and learning the ins and outs of chaining.
I've actually been thinking about getting rid of the healer slot again more recently, and I pretty much have. I have Tillith, and I'm sure it's easy to lean on her for harder content, but I have only used her a single time since 6*, and that was for the Ultros! trial. 99% of the time I use a ~800 MAG Rem in the healer slot using Dagger Boomerang or dualcast Alterna, depending on single/multi target. Rem has secretly been my MVP for quite a while now.
Also, now that I have 9S's TM, I could feasibly kick out Rem and use a combo of Zarg with 9S TM and mechanical hearts on most characters. I'm fairly sure you could completely remove a healer altogether in place of WoL/EV and DC Cecil, as long as you had Rikku's TM for AoE Esuna. There's also the option of using double "Protection of the Twelve" Minfilia for main heal by gearing her for evasion and HP and Golem and letting her provoke. I love the idea of passive healing, but you have to be able to guarantee that all units survive the round to make use of it.
Then again, as we saw with the Malboro trial, we might be looking at Reraise meta which says "healing is a waste of a turn" to begin with. The game is in an interesting spot right now.
My post was all over the place but I'm glad you're still out there experimenting, there's probably lots of room to expand. I wish after you beat a trial you could challenge it again for free and no rewards, I'd love to test stuff out without wasting the TM farm potential.
