Now that I figured out the skill rotation for ELT boss I'm a bit more into it. The event equipment seems somewhat useful. Daggers with HP %, nothing special, but something ...couple other things.

Still hope we get some new global exclusive units in the near future. Knowing what's coming in Japan really helps keep things from being completely hopeless. Lots of cool units, events, qol updates to come. Just hate to see these long term folks dropping off.

Oh wait, I think I understand now. Gotta log in daily essentially.

Took this advantage of the half energy cost to collect the black keys! too bad you can't get key #5 yet! What a pain in the ass! but I really wanted to catch up on the vault stuff.

No Moogles, so it really doesn't make sense to farm it more than the maximum reward. On the bright side, every raid from now on will be incredible.

Enough cactuars to max 6-10 characters, enough snappers to make 10m+ gold, enough Moogles to get at least two TMs of every tier and 4* tickets (extremely rare).

I think we are two raids away from these changes.

Damn that sounds pretty insane. Something to look forward to then! I know we have the Garuda FF 14 raid, what else after that?

Depending on my friend unit, I prefer when he buffs SPR first because I hate having two turns to take him out, getting him down to like 5% health, then having to sit through three turns of SPR.

There were two raids for games that don't exist in the West, a original raid that had Kelsus and the Garuda XIV one.

Impossible to predict how Gumi will handle this situation as only the XIV raid is pretty much guaranteed to come.

Again on the ELT raid. 490 ATK power. Just a better timed hit and a bit more randomness in my favor.

The "big hit" was over 11 Million.

I'm hearing a lot of things about Flame Veritas with fixed dice.

Is there any good character aside from FV that will work nicely with fixed dice?

For doublehand candidate i have DKC, Olive and Randi

Edit : Never mind, DKC and Olive can't even use throwing weapon and Randi doesn't have imperil and takes too long to setup

Still Elite for me.

Using...

Rem - Dagger Boomerang only
Dark Vertias - Abyss and then Dark Punishment
Agrias - Divine
Solei - Buff
Wol - Cover
Friend Orlandu/DV - Orlandu Debuff or DV with damage mitgation. Orlandu Debuff is much more effective for WoL taking all the hits.

Usually beat the dude in 2-3 turns.

Wish I could pull something that isn't worthless at this stage.

Wasted (3) tickets this morning and also used up the free summon.

Amarant, Jack, ExDeath and fucking Krile.



Not sure why I do this when I know full well the pulls are going to be old shit that's useless in today's game.

Wasted 250 lapis on a daily and got a gold.

Of course it's a damn Rosa.

Edit - I'm not even convinced it's banner gold that's shit. It's banner rates period because I can't even get a banner blue.

Banner rates are low and old units have increased rates everywhere because between these pulls, yesterday's pulls and using all my EX tickets just about every unit has been FFXIII banner or earlier outside of Jack.

Yesterday I was browsing Reddit and saw that someone from SE for FFBE was there taking questions. So of course the main question was about the rates because they want answers.

I searched all through the posts and I'm positive those questions were avoided. They provided nothing.

They asked why they would create a Raid level unit in Eve and throw it into the summon pool just to dilute rates. They provided nothing.

See, this is why people quit. They know something is up and when they ask for answers they get silence.

Same thing occurred when people asked about people getting free pulls and then having it pulled away and not a word being said, as if it never happened.

Why show up to take questions and then not respond? I really thought it would see some sort of answer on there, but nope.


They wouldn't even answer the question of : "Where is enhanced Ramza?". :)



Edit - Just answered my own post lol. He said he will compile all requests and answer after fan fiesta.

Guess it's a waiting game to see if they will answer these or ignore.

IIRC they wanted questions they should ask the developers at tgs in their positions as community managers from square enix. Anyway...we also won't get the answers on TGS haha.

Free pull was a potato which gives 5% for a 30% mag tmr.

Yeah just edited my post because I went through that thread again and saw that answers won't come until later on, after the event.

I still expect no response on rates though.


By the way, I fucking love WoL. Casted Light is With Us and this dude just ate every AoE attack Shadow Lord threw at me, absorbing all the damage and then triggered Mechanical Heart enough times to heal 7-9 times and go right back to full health.

What a monster. Can't wait for Enhancements.

The only banner unit I seem to get is kupipi. Wishing I didn't do those multi pulls trying to get Prishe best hat but it is what it is.

Good news about the raid coins going for 50 Gil tho. Should be able to get some good replenishment this time around.

Cleaned up all the explorations and black keys from the last story chunk, too bad the black key completion reward (when we can get #5) is kinda junk especially compared to the aurora key sword. Still, some of the key items themselves are pretty good.

Im a little surprised so many of you are struggling with ELT

With enhanced Soleil and 4 dps and Rikku I consistenly clear it in 2-4 turns every time

Whether my Physical or Magical do more damage seems to be random so I split my dps between magic and Physical

Having ailment immunity and a really well built LB rikku helps

Enhanced Soleil is the superstar here though. I would highly suggest everyone make one. Its really cheap and super useful

I start with Panzer (def) and alternate with Swertz(Atk) but I ended up upgrading all four so i can optimize the first turn dance for what I need

Chewbacca on the freebie daily today.

Used up the 7 standard EX tickets, got a Dark Fina finally after almost a full year. Well, that's something.

Agreed with DrRob, I'm sold on enhanced Soleil. Once the Shadow Lord annoyingly drops his physical guard, I can win in 2 rounds with an old-fashioned Orlandeau chain with that sweet 120% all-stats boost.

Ready for better raid rewards. Agreed with most here, that this one is a snorefest.

Expecting global exclusive shenanigans, as well, over the next month or so to cover all the JP content that isn't going to come over to Global.

I think it is already happening by moving nier five months forward.

My guess is that we get a catch up banner with balthier as the only new character (if he isn't paired with ayaka or Noctis rd2). Return of Halloween global exclusives with enhancements should also be expected. Those swaps buy us a 2 week raid for monster hunter or Saga.

ELT has still been fine for me with Orlandeau and a friend Orlandeau chaining, takes two turns when vulnerable.

Arena is such a chore now, repeating the same moves each round, but still using up Orbs when I can throughout the day. Maybe I'll cash in those points soon...

So I came across the last boss of the story this weekend...thought it might be tough but I'll take in my ELT party and give it everything. Never before have I got so owned during a story fight :| wow...and there is a No KO reward too...this is going to be tricky and may need to read around for tips and help.

Oh, EX Tickets and 10+1 tickets (I have 2) don't expire do they? Hoping to use them up on the Cloud banner.

Not having power for so long must be hard. Hope it comes back soon.

And Soleil is basically our mini enhanced Ramza without that healing and MP battery. I'm actually kinda okay with Ramza enhancements being delayed for the sake of balance.

No, I'll be around as long as they update events and it keeps my attention. Even if I slow down, I can always come back, given its really a single player game.

Fundamentally, my relationship to RNG is very different than most that quit due to bad luck. I pull a lot. And I've had some incredibly terrible luck in this game, and I've also had really great luck as well. If you pull long enough you experience both, and the more you pull those valleys and peaks become deeper and higher I won't quit due to back luck with RNG.

But yeah, this Raid is a chore, I'm like ranked 18k or something, and I've been doing ELT pretty consistently. But usually I can get into top 5-10k pretty easily, so it seems more people are doing this event, or are able to beat ELT. I'm not sure. But I was actually thinking I would be higher ranked given how much of a chore this raid is.

I think Soleil is better than enhanced Ramza when it comes to 2-3TKO or Raids. But Ramza can sustain better on harder trials. They're both equally valuable, and Soleil might see more use.

I'm just posting to offer proof of life.

I do the daily quests each day, then nope out of the game afterwards. I'll get some, but not all, of the raid rewards. The raid is just a boring chore.
