Will the 3% bump affect the tickets? I always looked at them as coming out what they are (3* or 4* or whatever) then having that standard 5% chance to bump up into the next level. I am probably wrong about that though.

So in other words, I always thought that guaranteed 4* tickets gave you a 5% chance to pull a rainbow, instead of the 1% standard summon probability.

4* Tickets are still 5% chance even after bump yes. Those I would use if you really want to try for something, but the 3* tickets will go from the 1% to 3%. So I am personally saving all regular EX tickets and regular summon tickets for that time. As well as any 10+1 tickets we get.

I think he's way better than anyone is giving him credit for.

His Assault cycle allows him to target an enemy's weakness in battle as the situation calls for it and he can decide between AoE or ST as well. In a fight with multiple enemies or multiple weaknesses, this is absolutely invaluable. Going back to the Aigaion example, the body is weak to ice but the arms are resistant to it. In that case, Jake can fight the body with an Ice Assault cycle until its dead then switch off to say, Flame Assault without a penalty to his damage at all from Imbues or being forced to use a specific element weapon.

AoE damage is absolutely dreadful in the game right now as well. Jake can do this AND he can chain it as well which is amazing. He can 1-hit ST enemies as well but that's kind of a plus rather than his strength, IMO.

I mentioned in my post last night but Jake's essentially a more powerful Onion Knight. Onion Knight's strength is his ability to chain and the plethora of elemental attacks in his arsenal. It allows him to get solid damage adjust to various enemies. Jake does this but also covers OK's weakness, lack of Imperils at the cost of a turn of setup.

I think he'll definitely fly under the radar until someone shows how powerful Jake can be.

Very insightful, actually this reminds me of Balthier a lot. Let's take Thunder for example

Someone correct me if I'm wrong: Razzmatazz from the FFX event isn't very good, so there's no good reason to do the ELT exploration in the FFX event. Right?

If you've been playing for a while you probably have higher atk swords. The sleep and stone makes it perfect for arena though. Put it on anyone with bladeblitz and watch the chaos. Do be sure to get whatever you need for Override though. You're not going to find a more perfect weapon for Rikku.

Agreed. I'm a mostly F2P player (have only put in $100 in total over the course of a year+), but I would have dropped some money if Amazon had a discount similar to the one they put out in UK, Germany, and France. Oh well... I guess I should be glad the temptation wasn't there.

I've already got everything but Razzmatazz, and didn't see anything about sleep or stone in the description. I'll have to read up on it.
Edit: oops, didn't realize it shows the status effects if you click directly on the icon on the crafting screen, instead of the rest of the bar. I saw "no added effects" and though that was it.
double edit: Dumb question - would it be worth getting 2 Overrides to dual wield? Would the effects stack?

It could be good for arena with Bladeblitz if you don't already have a pretty powerful status-effect skill (Noctis/Setzer) or two.

I had the materials to make Break Blade after completing each exploration once, which has the Petrify status part of Razzmatazz and maybe 10 less ATK. That was good enough for me, I didn't feel the need to spend another 20 minutes on another run to farm butterflies.

When you're supposed to be studying but all you can think about is the Robot trial lol.

The more I think about it the more I think not taking a tank may be the way I go. I know it seems completely crazy but Sin V did it without Ramza or a tank, albeit he/she had a lot of stuff we don't have lol. Sin gave me an idea for the team I'm going to try run. It could completely blow up in my face but tbh that's likely to happen regardless lol.

Yeah, just holding on to them now. But still not going to expect anything after bump. After my initial pull on JP, it's been pretty awful with tickets, dailies, and the freebie dailies.

Celegus... it's good if you already have great luck. :p My alt is forever doomed, and it's so rare I see anything on main. I don't hold my breath. But I'm also trying to recoup after being denied a Tidus. Blew my whole ticket stash and used a 5k pull after the guaranteed one. Fortunately though I'm above where I started before the Tidus pulls on lapis.

Going to say, if nothing else, this anniversary has been amazing for Moogles. Also still very thankful for my guaranteed 5* pull on main (Gilgamesh) and alt (Trance Terra). I really was expecting the worst on those pulls.

Got Genji Glove earlier this morning. Working on Black Cowl now. Gotta figure out what to do afterward. Thinking of working on another character.. but quite a few TMs I want, regardless of whom I want to work on. So much stuff to get. (In reality, could use a third dual wield for Yun, so he can stop using Knife, ugh.)

Balthier is very strong but has weaknesses as well. Counter proc for his best attack is very inconsistent which reduces his overall effectiveness unless you want to expose your team to danger. He also is ST only and only has 1 hit per attack meaning he closes chains. So I personally don't think he's too powerful for Global in his default incarnation. However, I assume they'd want to bring some of his enhancements as well which might tip the scales a bit.

You can't get 2, all event equipment has a 1 use craft material, if we could get more I'd kill for more Mog Rises

Hoping I have the right units and gear to be able to clear it after many attempts. Anything which seems essential? (I luckily pulled Aileen last week and maxed her out).

Reraise will make the fight a bit easier. Currently only Rem and Rikku have reraise. Spell for Rem, LB for Rikku.

Thanks. Okay that's brilliant, I managed to get very lucky and pull Rikku off banner recently and kept her Limit Break at 20/25 which should be sufficient? I'm just maxing her out to 100. I didn't get Rem though, hopefully some other spells and skills I have come in handy.

I know right! I just had to. The main reason was for what Hippo linked to, I loved the look of those busts as a show piece, about to find out what they are like. On top of that, Original Soundtrack, Exclusive 6 Card Art Set and the game in a SteelBook case.

So disheartened at no Ashe still. Even moreso now that she's my lead in the FFXII remaster.

Been busy with catching a showing of Baby Driver this evening too so barely even got to log in. Was the bombardment of moogles the fan thingy people mentioned a few days ago?

I'm having a similar issue with MAG pots. Only mage I have worth his time is Zyrus until I get a 5* and I don't know what else to use them on

Not quite sure where these burst pots should go thought. Spent a ton of Cecil, but he's useless now, Olive has a ton already (not 25/25 though) but she's in a good spot. Wilhelm's felt like a good next step

I've maxed out Rikkus , Wilhelms and Olives myself. Any more I get are going to Tidus.

I think someone on the Nier banner has a worthy LB.

4 star crystal turned rainbow from ex ticket. Got dupe noctis. Not able to gear him as well but was able to get a 2nd dualwield with all the moogles they're giving out. Not sure if i should go for 3rd dualwield or start other tm's. At 60 plus percent on deathbringer.

Does it matter where you line up your units? Always is bizarre to me to see tanks in the back row when people post a battle but maybe there's a strategic element I'm unaware of? I have my two DPS units on either side in the front row, tank in the middle of front row, healer in back furthest away with Rikku back closer to screen. Is that not optimum? Figured it didn't matter at all where they are at and just did it that way because it seemed more logical to me ha


Windows finally forced me to install the damn Creators update last night and naturally Nox didn't work with it. It was too late to grab the latest version and install by the time I noticed but did so just now. The new version was stubborn but finally got it to load. Phew, I'll be able to TM farm tonight. I just pray that this new version resolves the disconnect issues, they have really killed my TM farming the last couple weeks.

Nice to get a confirmation of the 3% rainbow increase though I never doubted we would. I wonder when it will hit? Hopefully before Ayaka was she's the next unit I plan on pulling for. The most exciting news for me is that they are working on a Noctis buff. I refused to believe they wouldn't because it'd piss me off but a relief to hear it haha They better make equal to Japan's version, there's no excuse not to now. Every other main character unit both versions have are the same and they aren't going to nerf anymore so yeah, they'd better make him and his TM equal. I'm in the 80's now for the Ring of Lucci so I'll be ready for that buff!

Although I haven't unlocked all the king pots from the Raid event, I'm ready for it to leave as doing that 5 times, Arena 5 times, and farm runs for the XII event is a bit much when I get home. It's honestly not too bad though thanks to the awesome repeat update.

Sorry for you guys that really wanted Balthier, sadly will probably come with some random garbage banner now. I think I'll hold on to these two Mistadios just in case I get him down the road. Now the long wait for Ayaka, there's no one else I'm waiting for that will hit anytime remotely soon. Wonder when she'll come? Hopefully before next Summer ;p Probably in the spring sometime I'm thinking but maybe she could by November or December. Wishful thinking? Oh, and nice to get free rewards from the show!

Position of units matters for two things afaik:

Leftmost units have the highest chance of being blocked by tanks.

Certain units like Aileen that have movement in their chain ability will need to account for distance from the enemy and their partner as well to chain effectively.

Don't have Aileen but I didn't realize this second bit. Are there any other units where this matters?
