My team is composed of three Luneras, Ayaka and Basch. Sometimes I guarantee a kill on first turn, sometimes I don't.

When I don't, I set up the AoE cover with Basch so the enemy team doesn't have a chance to wipe me (there are dozens of teams with 3x Ashes/2x Dark Veritas etc that can easily wipe you).

Having a tank is insurance. It's a big deal for people that care about getting the best rewards in the arena. Global weekly arena rewards are trash so I don't give a fuck about it, JP weekly arena rewards are godlike so I want to guarantee I'll never lose my streak.

If you are finding a lot of teams with tanks here it's because people care about not losing their streaks when they don't get the kill on turn one. Simple as that.

1. SexxyJexican - Can you please release the drop rates for summons? IE blue, gold, rainbow, on banner and off banner.

We aren't able to comment on official drop rates, but what we can say is that on featured banners with specific 5* base units being summoned, there's a 50% of getting that unit when a rainbow crystal appears. Compared to an off banner, that rate is predicated on the entire pool of units.

7. kraktur - Can't find it put that simply: why did we get what everyone felt was a troll 4* unit during the Nier event? Yes I am talking about Eve. Eve disappointed so many in this community.

The reason why there were so many characters in that event was that we genuinely thought fans would be excited to have a full NieR: Automata roster, but we will definitely take this feedback into consideration for future banners. The community feedback is important to us so if we continue to see calls for more NieR collaborations, there's always the possibility of doing future events as well.

I've skipped about 4 banners now, so there's a lot of 3* and 4* units I don't have from those.


Plus I actually have Ashes and Trance Terra but only an Enhancer.


And I like chaining Firelandu sometimes.



Basically, even if I don't pull a rainbow I think I get a lot from this stuff right now.



And since Ayaka is more or less a permanent squad member IF you get her, even after CG Fina you might still use her in 10 man trials........


It doesn't seem like a terrible time to go.

A2 now has 1100+atk, onion Knight is at 862 atk (and he essentially gets the hand me downs from A2).

I guess I can understand that, but I used to have my arena team change as I change groups and I don't generally have a tank in any of my groups. Up until recently, I would encounter very few tanks on arena teams, but in the last couple of weeks almost every team has a tank on it, which is crazy as hell. I guess something changed somewhere, and I missed it. Not that I can't beat teams with a tank on it, but it just takes a couple more steps. It's pretty frustrating.

In all honesty, Arena sucks. I hated it at start, I hate it even more now. But you know what? They give us pros for characters from certain games and negatives like skills/magic type you can use. If they're going to have this cesspool continue, it'd make it even more interesting to add more things to remove for week. Like weeks without tanks. Being dead serious here.

But at this point, Arena is such an annoying hassle I do it only enough to maintain under 90k each week.

Not an accurate representation of the SYP. It's a level-headed assessment of a hyped banner whose value is VERY top-ended. I thought you might be referring to the responses and not the SYP itself, but I couldn't find any 'vitriol' there either.

Only Ayaka is relevant as a unit. Of the remaining four units, two of them give mediocre TMs (Yuri, Goken). Kamui and Silvia have good TMs, though the value of the latter is heavily dependent on your possessing a Fryevia or Trance Terra.

Ayaka is great, but prevailing sentiment from JP is that she isn't necessary.

We have, per the leaks, some manner of guaranteed 5* banners around Christmastime, in addition to two upcoming GLEX banners: Four Fiends, still an unknown quantity, and Halloween 2017 units - there's also a GLEX Christmas banner coming our way.

How is it vitriol to soberly inform people that current healers will get you through content (true) and to instead save resources for better 4* units (Mistair will be this year, also on a double 4* banner) and guaranteed 5* banners? Are we encouraging people to chase rainbows now?

Whose the intended audience here? Sure isn't the average player. The whole SYP read from the perspective of using "the" meta team using BiS everything and pissed on the banner because outside of Silvia's sword for Fry/TT, the banner doesn't advance "the" meta team.

The analysis, objectively, isn't incorrect from that perspective.

I'd argue that the leaks have re-asserted the precognition issue the plagued Global at launch. Now, we know what is reasonably coming by the end of the year. But hey, the CG units are coming in the future. Why pull then when CG Fina and Sakura are coming?

We're reverting back to the "save for Orlandeau" days, IMO.

I agree with what you're talking about. I think it's best to just pull on the banner you want for the character you want and everyone else be damned. If you want to have Ayaka, then pull on her banner. If you don't, then don't. Trying to over analyze the whole thing lead to the whole Nier discussion and I don't think that helped anyone really.

I won't be pulling on this banner because I have Tilith and Y'shtola and neither of them have given me any problems in the healing department. I feel like I'm covered fairly well so I just don't have a need for Ayaka at the moment.

I'll be doing 1/2 priced dailies at best for Ayaka banner. Just because it'd be nice to have another healer in my collection, but not required. Refia with DC still gets the job done. I have Y'shtola, but don't tend to use her often.

Getting some banner units would be nice just to work on TMs. But, to be honest, this isn't limited time, so I'll probably getting her while trying to go for something else.

I've spent a lot during Nier and since. It's time to save up again. For what? I don't know. I still hope Tidus and OK will show up at some point since I didn't get them on their banner. Gotten lucky on Rainbows on my main and JP recently, so not wanting to push my luck.

They need to impose more than just ability limitations. Equipment, materia, and unit categories would go a long way to making things interesting. Status ban weeks, for example, are useless right now because everyone just uses status weapons instead. A week that actually didn't have statuses would mix things up because you don't need a healer then. A week that banned all 5* bases would be super interesting. Of course, if they made arena more involved they would have to improve the rewards to make up for it so I'm torn.

So I just watched all the CGI on youtube for the season 2 "CG" characters, some cool stuff there. I especially liked Jake's.

I'm torn on this banner. I think I'm going to hard limit myself to 1 10+1 pull and call it a banner, whatever I get inside. After looking at both skillsets, I think CG Fina is going to be my god tier healer of choice. Stop resist is fine and all, but I do the minimum Arena stuff I have to, to stay in top 30k, so a loss here and there is whatever. The one thing that bugs me about CG Fina is that she has no native Petrify cure, despite that ridiculous kit.

I absolutely love Rem though, and CG FIna looks to be mostly Rem 2.0, so that's where I'm headed. Or I can just hope for Rem to get global exclusive enhancements that brings her up to par.

Depending on your team setup Rem could still have a place on your team as a finisher. She's one of the best for finishing.

I think she can with a skill. It doesn't heal back a lot though but I believe it cures all ailments. Similar to Luka's enhanced healing skill (+1).

Yep, you're right. I missed it originally, it's 1000HP + All ailments and it's a skill. So yea, she's basically Rem 2.0 minus that self-buffing finisher. She does have a 7 hit 525% modifier single target attack that scales off SPR that will be nice on turns that she doesn't have to heal. If only it hit twice with Dual Wield, I'd really be hyped.

I think I'll use the remaining 10+1 ticket and a couple of regular ones but I won't go crazy for Ayaka. Yeah she's good, but Tillith + Rikku combo has been more than enough for basically anything I need. So more of a sidegrade than an upgrade for me, really.

I need to hurry up and finish the story. I've got a few 5* TMs that would be significant upgrades for a number of characters.

I'll disagree. The new person still does a far better job then the old, atrocious person whose opinion was astonishing shit and fed a lot of the negative on reddit.

His analysis is very reasonable, because we have hit a point of saturation with units. You can't really recommend new players to roll for TMs. Nor are the new 3/4 units offering anything new. Rather, they'll fall completely middle of the line or to be used as TM fodder, where it's better for a new player to stick with the bread and butter units you can get. This is 100% design decisions due to the FFBE team.

3* units now are nothing but TM fodder.
4*, majority will fall to the sideline.

His critique isn't really negative. It's pretty positive for a banner that the prize is the 5* with the rest only having some use for older players

I'd say that's a good move. You're new enough you have a decent chance of getting something good from off-banner, and if you just happen to get Ayaka you're set. The rest of the banner won't do much for you though. Some of the TMs are nice but not top priority for new players. Goken is...maybe good for you, since he has high attack with low equipment costs. If you really have no other chainers you could maybe run a budget team with two of him. Check out the should you pull on the reddit or wiki if you want.
