9S is 4* and will turn your current units into chainers like those you mentioned above, plus you always have the chance to also pull one of them as well.

So I'm kinda curious, seeing a lot of people mention Earth Veritas alongside WoL. I've got Wilhelm, but he's not an AoE tank like WoL, so would it be a good idea for me to do a few pulls hoping for Earth Veritas?

What's your starting lineup? This is a really good banner that could fill multiple spots or provide some good TMs for you. For those of us not going all in on it, it's either because people are obsessed with the Nier banner or because we've gotten to the point where we're just cherry picking upgrades and absurd TMs at this point.

It's a counter. If you take magic or physical damage, it has a 30% chance to activate and give you a charge of Full Charge Stomp.

Yea this is how im feeling today. I would really love DV. But even EV seems to be worth the pull. Spot on about Nier. Disheartening not to know when it's coming so I'm going to do a few pulls and see what I get.

I have a question about tank units. I've only really used Wilhelm lately, and even though I have WoL I haven't used his 6* much.
With WoL and now the new tank Veritas, do you have to use a skill to make them cover all damage from the team? Or do they inherently do that? Veritas looks like it's physical only, but is WoL cover all physical AND magical?
What about future Basch? Is his cover superior to everyone's?

I believe it's physical only if I'm not mistaken. Magic tanks are Mystair and Basch who does both.

WoL is identical. Physical AoE cover only. Just different proc chance and mitigation stats

Rasler is currently the only tank that will AoE cover Physical and Magic attacks.... wait a minute....

His enhancement is quite good and this is only bested by Basch EXCEPT Basch has to choose one or the other

Main crew is Orlandeau, Noctis, Tillith, Rikku, Wilhelm. Got some people to swap in and out for utility but seemingly it's debuffs that are missing from my team almost completely. Well I'm missing a finisher too but got over 100 tickets saved for whenever Cloud drops for that role.

He has 2 covers. One for physical and one for magic. Both are 75% chance to prok.
So what's the deal with the Seraph trial? I want that moogle and the 10k currency mission suggests it's an endurance test. He's an angel type so is light resist the main factor? Rikku will be less useful since re-raise eliminates one of the other missions. Maybe a Lunera would help with the long turn requirement and light resist?

Im wondering who is better for the job. Enhanced Rasler or Basch
Enhanced Rasler covers it ALL at once with 50% mitigation at a 40% proc rate... but he also has a single target Sentinel and very good stat passives enhanced
Would be interesting to compare the two

I'm pretty sure that Basch is considered the best tank in the game at this point. I think that since he essentially heals all his hps every turn helps account for that. I will admit I am not that up to speed on him since I didn't pull him, but going by what I have seen others discuss about him compared to the other tanks.

Yeah it would be. One thing I was never sure about was if I use one of Basch's covers on turn 1, and then use the other on turn 2, do I get both? Because when I tried it on JP he only had the 1 symbol. So if you can only have 1 then does the second override the first?
I'm convinced that year 2 Charlotte is going to be ridiculous. Wouldn't surprise me if she could cover both in one skill as well.
Yeah this is true. You basically never have to heal him, and because he can cover all you basically never have to heal. It's why I feel the support role is less necessary in JP/the future. The healers (well Fina and Ayaka) act as supports too, and so when you have tanks doing what Basch does they just end being support roles. But that's just my experience as a low level player. I'm sure at the high end it's completely different lol.

Far as I can tell Rasler enhanced is the best no thinking required all purpose AoE cover tank but if Basch can stack both skill then he is clearly superior
Plus hes a 5 start base so not surpising. Im more surprised at how good Raslers enhancements are

I won't lie I have never even paid attention to Mr. Ashe outside of his delicious TM until you mentioned this. Looking at him now in JPN, damn I am impressed. I will enhance one to use until Mr. Ronsenburg comes along.
Until Friday he's still the third best tank in global (tied with Cecil). As a new player you could do a whole lot worse than pull a Rasler. Plus, yeah those enhancements are super cheap and all solid.
Assuming we get those enhancements any time soon though >.>;

Take a look at the TMs but if you don't care about those, you could easily pass on this. Dark Vertias would be sweet to chain with landeu but with another 5* base unit in the banner, it's going to be a bitch to pull him. With landeu and Noctis you're just fine with DPS, you can afford to wait for better rates for a third DPS like Onion Knight who's the only 5* on his banner. If you don't care about OK or Ayaka, you can yolo on this as Earth Veritas would be an upgrade to Wilhelm ultimately but Wilhelm is great and still has enhacements coming one day so you don't 'need' to worry about that. If you want the TMs or love the units, go for it but otherwise I think you're fine to stand pat.

I guess I'm the only one not interested in this banner beyond dailies and a few YOLO pulls. I need to figure out the next banner I'm excited for. Nier's different, because I haven't played the game and have zero love for it; it's not like I "want" any of them, more like I "need" so-and-so's TM.

I have only had one so far in all my runs on the 13 NRG version and it was a golden bomb so I assume it has a different rare spawn on top of that as well.

I've done 13 runs and seen 7 golden bombs in total. So far I've seen a golden bomb and double golden bomb. I'm not sure if there's something after that.

Thanks. Think I'll probably put in a few tickets for Earth Veritas and then leave it be. I'd definitely like the VotD TM but as you say two 5* units makes it unlikely I'd get it. Doesn't feel as critical as the Tillith or Rikku banners were anyway.

No problem and there isn't really any "critical" characters but if I had to list a couple that were the most worth springing for because they bring a unique kit or blow out the competition, it'd be Rikku and Ayaka. Although CG Fina will join Ayaka's club, eventually. Unit's like Orlandeu and Veritas of the Dark are amazing units but the thing is there are a small handful of units in their league that are all top tier DPS. You can get those two, Tidus, Aileen, etc. and be well off in that requirement for the team. That's why I didn't bother with landeu when he had an atrocious banner, Tidus is right there with him and was coming with Rikku so I was patient and regret nothing. Rikku is really unique with what she brings to the table, at least all rolled into one package and Ayaka just blows every healer out of the water until CG Fina. Those are the type of units truly worth splurging on IMO. Obviously if you're in a situation where you don't have a great DPS, Tank, etc. then it makes sense to go hard on a banner with great units fulfilling those roles but once you have a solid team, go for the value. Or splurge on every banner if that's how you have fun, we all should play how we like, this is simply my two cents.
Rasler only defends the party against physical attacks at an awful rate, he is bad. Basch can defend against both according to your necessity.
