IMO, if you don't have any of Onion Knight's stuff you should pull on FF3 Banner 2. Even just having Vessel of Fate is a game changer. Get all of his relics and like John Romero, you'll make this game your bitch.

I pulled too much on P1 of 2nd Anni, so I have 3 copies of Onion Armour and 3 copies of Arc's White Mage Robes. For all the shit we give these robes, they're still the best SSB Medica.

Could've ran Wall since I have native VoF but more DPS is always fun. (Would've used Edward's BSB for no Hastega redundancy but a whole slew of my Followers have changed their RW's of late...)

Bring your ele resist.

For some reason it didn't click that Wind Weakness + 50% damage from Jumps = Cid Highwind BSB cheese when I first took at look at this boss, so I just did it with a standard mage party.

Garuda is a dick, bring your Lightning Resist. Might need to S/L a few times in case he just decides to spam the hell out of your party during setup.

His SSB did 9,999 x 6 against Garuda++, followed up by capping each Sky High cast. That's a good investment.

When fully maxed out, OK is probably the best character in the game.

High stats across the board.

Ridiculous equipment selection (can equip everything but the super exclusive Blitzballs/Hairpins/Gunarms/Gambling Gear/Dolls).

Skillset is the most used schools in the game.
(6* Combat/Celerity/Support/Black/White and a 5* in Ninja).

In addition, his BSB is the gold standard in providing All-In-One party buffs, basically accommodating all team compositions as well as allowing the BSB user (whether it's OK himself or whoever RW'd his BSB) to perform as a great DPS'er through his Burst Actions.

I have all of onions relics except for his osb and would kill for it, he is such a beast. If I didn't have a fully evolved rod and robe in this banner I'd consider a pull. His ssb does a crazy amount of physical damage anyway when you are in burst mode so the osb isn't that much of a phys attack loss....I tell myself.

Only did 1 run of the 120stam so far, but I got the equivalent of 2.22 majors in my first full clear. That's 120 stamina / 2.22 majors = 54.05 stamina / major, which is definitely way better than anything else to date.

Of course, 1 run is not a meaningful sample size. But the interesting thing is that on that 1 run I only got a single major orb. The rest all came from greaters. I can easily envision getting 2 or even 3 majors in a single run, so I would expect the long term average to be pretty close to this 54.05

Thanks replies. I actually had forgotten that I have two of his relics. Blowback from his staff I believe, and the other one where he hits 8-11 times and debuffs Def/Res.

Do you guys still think I should consider pulling? I don't have Arc's robe or Luneth's stuff.


Had a few drinks last night before I posted asking about pulling, that's why I forgot what I had. Friends don't let friends drink and post.


Waking up this morning to a bunch of free mythril from the gift and new dailies put me near 80. I didn't get any pots on my first 120 run, only done it once myself as well.

What saddens me is that I can only hone one of my 5* abilities, and it's flare which will be one of the last I ever take up in ranks, hell I may even shatter it eventually. I am 10 Dark orbs away from taking Meteor to rank 4. Ruinga is good enough, but I'd like to have both for Torments or bosses that have different element resists, like the Pigs Torment and the Gigas Torment.


On greens I bought today's orbs and the mythril. I don't really see anything else I'll spend it on, but I guess I could get all those 3* motes.

I've been noticing better performance on my iPhone as well, thought it was just my imagination. Is it possible it's not related to your firmware but just a coincidence that the timing aligned with this new game update?

Which iPhone do you have? I just bought a 7plus about a month ago, and it was so much faster than my Nexus 6 that I haven't noticed an improvement -- it already runs it faster than my Nvidia Shield Tablet did.

Maybe, but the touch glitch was definetely android Nougat related. But again, they could have fixed their game compatibility with it.

I have 2300 gems from the 500 I already had, plus the 20 bucks in Itunes money from the Wife.

But how come none of the banners will let me use a combination of money and mythril? It's gotta be something stupid on my end right?

I honed Sky High to R2. I know it's not considered one of the top tier 6* abilities, but I don't care. I looove having Luneth fire off his BSB, then spamming that sweet 9999x4.

I want to pull again, mostly because I really want Luneth's burst.

But I have crazy FF3 synergy, looking at my excel list I now have....

oh not that crazy. I have some +++ gears, but for pure 5* I only have OK's staff and his sword.

Now for Armor, I have Ingus boostga, OK's gaunts, Arc's robe, those gaunts for Desch, and also a bunch of +++.

So I guess it's not crazy synergy after all, but did we say FF11 is next? (I'm fixing to google it)...and I don't have a single FF11 relic.


Edit: Yep tomorrow is FF11.

Chances to use FF11 realm synergy are rare, and none of the items on tomorrow's banner are game changers IMO. It's not worth a pull unless you're a fan of the game itself. Better to save for the upcoming Tactics, IV, or VIII banners.

Well i'm an old man, but the 2300 gems is burning a hole in my pocket like my 12yo son when he gets report card money and wants to buy a new XB1 game even if nothing is out he wants.


Edit: To add, I can maybe find the will power to wait until tomorrow, but a week or a few weeks? What do you think I am, responsible and patient? lol. Shantotto's looks cool if I read it right, and there is that new Chain burst coming. But while I did play FF11, I didn't play it past level 40.

How tough is ff7 250 torment? Have cid burst, luneth burst, fang ssb, ysh burst, vanille burst, ok burst, tyro usb, ramza with shout. Also native wall with ysh as well.

Good rw for this considering could use ysh with wrath to build bars to support wall and heal.

There's just no making me happy I think. I read about the relics and convinced myself to wait until tomorrow night. Then from your reply and the other, I talked myself out of it. I only even know when stuff is coming from you folks. I worry that if I start planning relics and really delving into it that I will end up setting myself up for failure or relic chasing.

So now I was going to pull on that same banner again and hope for Luneth BSB or OK OSB, but to use my gems I have to use up my mythril first and then I can't play anything for the rest of the day after my stamina is gone.

Lol, what I will probably end up doing is sweet talking the wife into about 10 bucks or pull right before tomorrow night's event since I will earn Mythril right back. (Or right before I do the new daily tomorrow).

The way I view it, it's nice to know what's coming if only for evaluating the risk of duds and for evaluating when I'd even use anything. About half of the XI banner is basically "this is CM only" and the current CM is just a "Use Shantotto!" requirement, not a full party; if I'm after synergy / CM purposes, the next XI banner is basically a requirement since it has the actual healer for the realm anyway. Lion's BSB is good but I have Vaan's which is basically a better variant in almost all cases since Attack debuffing is less important than Magic; having hers is mostly a future-proofing thing in the event there's some fight that needs 5 layers of -ATK.

I guess the way to put it here for me was even if I nailed an 11/11 pull, nothing here changes my go-to teams and the synergy isn't really necessary yet. Even Shantotto's stuff will be worse than getting Rafa's BSB in a week and they share the primary element role. But I'm not even mass pulling for Rafa BSB since it's in the "nice to upgrade to" category rather than gamechanging.

I know Sky High is 6*. It's more the fact that Ricard is seen as a complete joke in the community and to improve him is an attempt at insanity when I could be unlocking Sky High on a far superior Dragoon, say Luneth or Cid Highwind.

He just got his first SB recently after 2 years lol.

Oh okay, you mentioned it in regards to honing 5* abilities with the new Major orb drops, so it sounded like you mistakenly thought it was a 5* ability. Just didn't want you to farm a bunch of Wind orbs thinking you could hone Sky High with them. Carry on.

Good job. I haven't tried x 250 yet either. I also have rikkus bsb which was ok not great for the cm, even triple imperiled it wasn't that hot. Though it does make leviathan hit much harder if you can save uses for the battle. I could only take out x cm using paines ssb water hit, which would hit 9999x whatever it e he was enwarered. I've found entrust and funneling attacks through primarily one character to be the way to go on these.
