I WANT TO PULL!!! AHHHH! Stay strong. :( It will be hard to resist the first phase because I really like the BSBs/OSB but outside of that I have everything on this banner or don't need it. I probably end up pulling nonetheless. Hopefully my 100gem will give me something good.

I don't bother with refreshes. As long as I can finish the roulette I'm okay with it. We get some hyped banners in the next few weeks and a FF IX event is coming up. I need to make some hard decisions. I want Zidane's OSB and his Vest and from the 2nd banner Steiner's BSB and Garnet's dress. But Steiner's BSB is a guaranteed 100gem pull for me considering that I got every other relic for him. ;)

I don't think so? The last post I can find from the last orbfest I got 16 Major orbs total as direct drops (aka Gigantaurs) across one phase which was 23 refreshes + natural stamina, and looking at reddit larger sample posts from the last orbfest people seemed to be averaging much better than that with at least one direct MO per stamina and most folks way more (lots of folks with 50ish refreshes getting 70+ gigantaurs etc).

I got 3 total here with 10 refreshes + natural stamina lol. Obviously RNG something something, but that's a drastic falloff, and even RNG aside this orbfest is definitely worse than the last one. Not sure if the Knights fuck it up or what. Obviously there will be some benefits from up-converting 3* and 4* orbs, but nowhere near making up that difference. On my last refresh I had an entire dungeon run that was literally nothing but the two enemy battles and Knights all 9 rounds. My luck this phase has definitely been rock bottom no doubt, but this orbfest is still lacking in general even outside of my shitty luck here.

This Orbfest is lacking with major orbs.

For everything else, I'm satisfied.

Past 2 days I got a FFV CM team up to lv65's and 2 characters to lv99 (Luneth and Celes).

I plan to get more teams ready for CM and maybe 5 characters to lv99 from this event.

My goals for 4* are doing great too, especially summons like Valefor and Leviathan, I didn't have them honed before this event.

Basically I gave up on my dreams of amassing major orbs and focused on everything else this orbfest offered me as a returning player.

Yeah for XP this has been roughly on par with previous orbfests; a bit worse for me since I'm barely even getting the mini-cactuar waves, but could definitely be worse. The biggest reason I did so many refreshes in previous orbfests was I wanted to level cap everyone which I did (I burned 125 myhthril last orbfest to do it), so now that everyone is pretty much capped (I have like...4 people that aren't) now I'm salty about not getting shit for orbs which is what I would actually be willing to refresh for. First world problems etc. I just goddamn know I'm going to get Kain's BSB on Banner 1 and I can't even come close to honing Lightning Dive :/

Really wish a banner popped up today.

Guess I'll pull on banner 1. Kains would be nice, no interest in Terra osb so I'll probably get it.

14 banner hype has subsided for me too, while some nice relics, I'm in a good spot so it would probably end up just being a luxury.

I don't do many 11 pulls, usually get lucky from single pulls.

I ran Palom from 65-78 in Golden Vault without seeing her RM pop, went and did some regular dungeons, still no pop, came back to Golden Vault and got the RM drop. After that I got like 3 more RMs in the vault. So yes it can drop.


In other news, so far I've gotten the following hones completed since Orbfest began:

Lifesiphon R1 -> R4
Thundaja R2 -> R4
Blizzaja R2 -> R4
Stoneja R2 -> R4
Waterja R2 -> R4
Alexander R0 -> R1
Multi-Break R0 -> R1
Full Charge R0 -> R1
Protectga R2 -> R4
Power Breakdown R2 -> R4

Hoping that I can make as much progress when phase 2 drops as I did for Phase 1. But the real blocker for me is Power Orbs, I'm going to have to hit that like a ton of bricks.

Edit: If I have Multi-Break, why do I need Full Break? Isn't MB strictly better than FB?
Edit 2: Shit, Multi-Break is Dancer only. Well, that was kind of a waste of some perfectly good orbs :(

I'm thinking Luneth for her RM4, but who else? I only have 1 MC3 Lode right now, but I might be able to get a second one if I make enough progress during Orbfest that I can finish off the FFV events.

I'd say:

Cloud +30% sword damage
Cecil +30% holy damage
Tyro +30% when hitting element weakness

Anyway -- I'd say it depends on if you're pulling on any of the upcoming banners. You'll likely want the MC3s for the characters you have decent BSBs for.

lol, just hit the trifecta. 7200 casino chips in a single run.

Edit: I've now encountered 3x regular mobs, 3x rounds of mini cactuars, 3x rounds of cactuars, and 3x rounds of golden knights. Why can't I get 3x gigantaurs? :(

Yeah, I really don't understand why they didn't have the banners either correspond with the orb phases, or at the least start them today (Christmas). Seems an odd choice unless it's to correspond with something else I'm not thinking of.

Christmas and the fact that I'm sitting on so much mythril means I am desperate to just pull on SOMETHING but alas, OSB fest has not started yet :(

Man its going to be real sad when we have to wait 6 months for this Noctis mini event, only to not actually get it, and then have to wait even longer to get him on global for a real event or a dungeon update that adds him.

Running a two person team for the + orbfest levels and it's taking forever to level up! Grr. Just a few more house until OSB fest. I've got 3 MCIII crystals saved up for whoever gets a burst or an osb!

I finally mastered all my Soul Breaks. I even found Edward's BSB in my Vault. I don't remember getting it.

I never thought the day would come when Healing Grimoire would come in handy but I managed to use it to save our team when Zantetsuken got both of our healers. I've had the relic since a year ago almost but I've only now seen the animation. Lol.

I still have no idea why it's 2 bars. I know it's a relic (HA!) of olden days but still.

With powercreep as it is...impossible to balance, new 6* relics that are coming from Japan are crazy powerful at only 1 bar, it would be impossible to balance something to make it worthy at 2 bars without breaking the game.

Maybe on a boss round where there are trash enemies before a boss giving you a chance to hit him with your mage before getting to the boss.

Alternatively, are there any accessories making you immune to sleep?

Gilgamesh will get his MC3 in the next Hall of Rites update.

Save one MC3 Lode for him.

Having his OSB and BSSB can (and will) already make him a permanent member of your team.
