what's going on with this game there hasn't been any new information on it for the last 7 months. When is it supposed to come out? I've been playing FFX recently and I really want to play a new installment in the series. it's been 3 years since FFX came out what's taking them so long. I thought it was supposed be out this holiday season with kingdom hearts 2 coming out the next and now it might be coming out at the same time as KH2. What's with the delays? That's such a long wait I want to play it right now :(.

The truth is Matsuno died. Square is trying to cover this up but once they have FFXII all patched up by Kitase and Nomura's team, they'll re-announce it as FFVII Endless Chaos for the PS2. :D

I was hoping it would get here by summer 2005 at the latest :(.

edit: i don't play online games though. So i really don't care for FFXI.

May I suggest my friend, the comma.

wah wah wah! gaming is all about me! companies should change their approach and planning specifically so that my poor self can have more enjoyment as i continue to live in the now!

here's something that'll keep you busy: BUILD A TIME MACHINE.

No doubt I'll buy it when it comes out, but I'm not that psyched for it as I was with past FFs.

Dragon Quest VIII on the other hand......

There are about 15-20 games in the Final Fantasy series, if you count things like Mana games. Have a little patience and play those in the meanwhile until XII comes out

Yes I can't wait for it either but the sad thing is that it will be overshadowed by Xenon and the PS3 stuff. I don't think it will sell well here.

Square Enix need to hurry the fuck up and release the damn game!!!!

Like all FF's since VII... I am highly intrigued. Some of the new characters have some great potential (Judge... please be good).

I wonder what's going on with FFXII too. Are they not showing anything new just because of DQVIII? Or are they redesigning parts of the game?

Hopefully some new info (and maybe new characters) will be shown at Jump Festa, but I'm not holding my breath.

But not before Vagrant Story 2. And he needs to finish that up as quickly as possible to make Final Fantasy Tactics 2: Delita Face Stabbery for PS3.

Naw, Ogre's long overdue. Matsuno hasn't touched the franchise since 1995.

this is the only game solely from itself would force me to buy a DS.

jarrod, why DS and not PS2/PS3? :P

I'd rather he have MAJOR involvement in the next Ogre game. If it's going to a handheld, more than likely he'd toss it off to the Tactics Ogre Gaiden/FFTA director instead of personally handling it himself, and then it'll be mediocre.

On another topic, now that Kitase is a producer, hopefully he'll never direct another video game again. He is probably the most overhyped video game director of all time and should be making movies, not games.

I concur.

Touch interface. Just seems like a natural fit for SRPGs, and Matsuno is said to be doing a DS project anyway... I actually wouldn't mind an OB64 remake, as it'd allow Matsuno to rework the game to his liking too.

Any shooter seems to FIT on the PSP (widescreen REALLY makes me drool... you should too if you are the slightest of a shoter fan).

I agree with the SRPG on DS... the touch screen does seem to lend itself better than the current interface we have for it. It just seems NATUAL to be able to touch (think mouse click) the character you want to use and then touch (click... what have you) where you want him to move/etc. A solid SRPG would welcome a serious consideration for my buying a DS.

Would someone explain to me what's so good about Vagrant Story? I bought it a few years ago, put in like 4 or 5 hours into it, and got really bored/frustrated with it... what makes it worth it to stick with it? I'm starting a new game soon before the Xmas gifts come in, should I play that or Zelda:OOT?
