^Are you maxed out or close? If so, they're easy, except the one with just Serah and monsters is a little tough still because Caius can still deal a lot of damage.

There is between one and three enemies at the very end of Academia 500AF that may still be required. They reside literally to the right of the final boss door and are easilly missed. Every visit to Academia 500AF will only spawn that encounter once...but there are three total enemies to gain! Two of the three enemies spawn in a pair and are common. You probably have those two already in your bestiary from your first visit.

The third enemy spawns only in that area and has a rare spawn rate. Tezocuotll(or something its called). Essentially you have to 'close' the Academia 500AF gate, run through the entire maze again to reach the boss door and then keep spawn camping that little area in hopes whichever enemy you need appears. Once you initiate battle, that's it. Gotta close the Historia Crux gate and re-run the maze if you initiate combat with the wrong enemy spawn! The spawn will either be the two 'common' enemies together(Xilotl and Mizotl or some such), or the rare one. If it's Tezocutilaurnaud(sp?) that you need, equip the Battlemania skill to spawn rare encounters more and keep running back and forth to get him to appear, but don't initiate combat until it does.

Only location in the entire game that this happens(well aside from Long Gui and other Archylte optional bosses I guess). But its the most devious bestiary enemy in the game and fucking poor form of Square to do such a thing.

Cauis battles...they are neither that tough, just make sure Serah has a SEN monster equipped for all paradigms during her fight

Yeah Serah and Noel are maxed and I have a lv. 45 Silver Chocobo. I just tried the fight and did very well for a while, mainly just SAB/SEN because of wound and debuffing would raise the stagger bar.

However about halfway through, I dunno, something happens and it gets a lot harder.

Brandon: I actually think I have all the monsters from Aca. 500 because I got lost and spent a considerable amount of time there >_<

anyway thanks for the help, it mimics a lot of the tips I'm reading elsewhere but confirmation is good.

Max out noel,start battle with the Long Gui,make him fall,after that stagger him,cast deshell/deprotect and then try with noel.

also in academia 4xx u can get a weapon from Hope,whose powers is much more then any weapon in the game,but only u have 160 fragments.so chk that as well.

OK, just downloaded the Sazh DLC.

So far:

- beside two card games, there is one side quest of
searching chocobo chicks

- Sazh can play slot machine as well, but not chocobo racing

- no new trophies

- Serah and co. cannot play those two card games in the ???AF casino; NPC still says they are DLCs, so I guess the games will be unlocked after beating the DLC.

the entry cutscene didn't say much of anything...
he was flying airship with his son; and then out of nowhere he was sucked into the gate appearing in the air after Dajh said "it's coming" (or something similar).

It was terrible. Easily one of the most frustrating parts of the game for me. It wasn't confusing in concept, and maybe there was a detail I was overlooking but there was a lot of guesswork going on for me there.

Excited for the DLC. Going to pick up a 4200 MS Points card along with my Live Gold sub after work today, so I'll buy it once I get home (also need to pick up the Lightning/Amodar and the new outfits).

From the stream, it looks very... lame.

I would only pay for the Sazh DLC to have Sazh in my party.. I probably won't even touch the card games.

Haven't numerous people been saying that Haste is essentially replaced by ATB + weapons in the game?

Looking his character over, his stats and latent abilities are actually really good and he has quite an offensive feral link for a SYN.

I think you're forced to keep playing the card games to beat the DLC, before you can get Sazh in your party.

Sazh's little adventure here seems to leave much to be desired. Or not?

It could be that the main team has moved on to other things and a small team is making the DLCs. Hence longer development. Kitase or Toriyama did say that the DLC is being made by a small team of new people.

I'm not being terribly optimistic :)

Still, for someone that 100% the game, having him in my party isn't the selling point for me. And wtf at no trophy/achievement. Most all DLC for games has at least one.

Toriyama already said the DLCs would provide no extra trophies.

Guys, I wanna level up my Gigantuar, what is the best place to farm material for him? he is level 1 but it seems like he only level up for high level materials.

How lazy. The new card tables (one is still closed) have the name of the game on them in that very stylised font used around Serendipity. One says Chronobind and the other says, uh, Xanadu Poker (though is called Serendipity Poker everywhere else).

I suppose the stupid name we got for the casino here wouldn't fit on the graphic, but I found it amusing.

If you want a fun RPG with cheesy j-drama it's a great deal. If you don't like (or can't handle) either of those things it's a waste of money.

You can get level 4 potents and level 5 potents in Archylte Steppe, marsh (west) area, in rainy weather. You might get more level 5s in sunny weather but it's probably better to farm both at the same time.
