Really pleased with official patch news for XIII getting custom resolutions and graphics options. Hoping the supported 1080p resolution (and hopefully DSR enabled) 1080p+ resolutions don't suffer the weird issue XIII currently does with FPS

That's really good news. I'll be playing Valkyria Chronicles and wait for the Final Fantasy XIII patch. Hopefully theu will patch the stuttering out as well.

I wonder if I'll have time to finish XIII before XIII-2 comes.

Anyway, great to hear the news. I didn't expect resolution options for XIII, since all the videos are 720.

Edit: Wait, I got FFXIII from gamefly, not GMG, guess I'll go with the 20%

Wow they actually listened.

Sure it took a while, but I honestly expected no fixes.

I have far more faith in the 13-2 launch now.

Edit: I expected 13-2 to be the same price as 13, it's more expensive, but only by very little.

Still annoyed about the piss poor XIII port so I won't be pre-ordering or going in day 1.

Sadly, for for Square at least, unless I pre-order or buy day 1 this usually relegates buying to sale time.

I probably won't preorder/buy unless the fix the framerate issue in XIII.

Just kidding I'll probably preorder anyway.

Anyway glad to see that they didn't use shitty images in the store page.

Well, they haven't yet for one thing. They listed two resolutions so I'm not even sure if it will just be those or if we will actually have a resolution selector. Performance still needs tidying up too.

Yeah, I just saw that afterwards. Happy to see that a lot of people are waiting to see how this one turns out.

It's disposable for me as well, but based on XIII's port in its current state, I would probably do anything else possible with it short of burning it.

They actually said the game will support more than 2 resolutions.
Now Enhanced for Windows PC
Including a range of the downloadable content from the original console, plus the choice for either English or Japanese voiceovers, 60 frames-per-second graphics and customizeable rendering resolution (720p, 1080p, and more).

The only real question we still have is whether they'll fix the framerate issue or not, and we'll probably have to see for ourselves in December :(.

Hmm. Looking back at the post, it's worded poorly. I'll keep it how it is though. I guess being at the front of the line is exciting, getting to fiddle with the game and hopefully take some high res shots near release.

Yeah, so at least we have some options, yay! If they sort performance, I'll give XIII another chance. The insufferable cast and especially the voice acting of them stopped me from going past 10 hours back on 360 at release, so switching to Japanese might help. I mean hell, I even finished Sonic 06 with all its issues and couldn't get far in XIII, that's how much the characters annoyed me. But like people say, it opens up and gets better after 20 hours, so I'd like to at least get that far some day.

Not a fan of XIII-2 either, but XIII-3 has a pretty awesome battle system and I'll enjoy it more if I at least get through one of the previous ones!

So they're going and fixing XIII? Good. Makes me feel less guilty for preordering XIII-2 and with the fixes to XIII coming in the future and XIII-2 supposedly receiving some more attention for the port (at least from what they seem to imply), I'm gonna keep a modicum of Hope that they're gonna do something for LR as well, which is probably the one that really needs all the attention in the world to fix all the graphic flaws it has.

OT question: Is XIII-2/LR getting OTs or should they all be consolidated into this one as sorta a trilogy OT?
