Most have to realize that FATEs will become your mainstay leveling mechanic for any job after your first if use up all your main mission storyline and side-quests on your first job
I don't get it how some of you find it so boring
I enjoy the hell out of it, it's always like a chase to get XP and get seals
My mindset is get there ASAP, get that XP ASAP, get party members to hit gold so they enjoy the benefits
I'm going after that level 50 crown, will take me a while, but I will get there
Always be in party, say/yell/shout near where the group of people gather for rest/sanctuary, and join and go at it
Most don't realize, you get extra XP by killing mobs of FATE, if your party members kill them, even if you didn't do jack shit, you will get rewarded the XP and chain #
In the end, you'll also get rewarded the bonus chunk of XP and reward of seals if you get bronze/silver/gold
Some say Return of the King FATE Costa del Sol (huge bomb on the beach) FATE doesn't give you much bonus XP, this is true, but for close to 10 minutes you annihilate so many bombs, your screen should be pure yellow #'s of experience
Always party up, light party or full party, add randoms if you have too
Join other peoples party, the end goal is the same, get as much XP as possible
Learn the FATE system of what the FATE requires, the faster you learn, the better for you
Gathering cores/boxes/parts for FATES can be beneficial 2 ways some can kill the mobs, and the others collect, killing mobs nets you XP for party, while say a WHM or SMN can go gather their items rather than try to fight it out
Learning FATE objectives is the key to produce efficient XP gain
Learn the name of FATE, it's objective, and location
Pop the map, see which on it is and just go after it
I mostly know 95% of the FATEs in this game now and their mechanics, the ones I'm missing are in those areas where most don't venture or the very low level ones in areas where I didn't start out (starter cities)
