I find it funny there is so much good will towards KH3. When that footage of the Tangled world was first shown, all I read were people posting shit about how it didn't look as good as it could be. People were so ragging on it because they thought it didn't "look good". Did those people just die out, or did FFXV's dud-of-a-show give them the incentive to count their blessings? I'm really floored with the enthusiasm all things considering. So much bitching after the footage was originally unveiled. What happened?

Those people were just wrong. It looked pretty much exactly how a HD KH should look like.

They're not the same, but they're not that different either, that photo of him 15 years later doesnt look that big of a departure either, he's still got the suit on underneath his royal robes. He's still got the slicked back hair and the beard. To me, it seems that the robes say, yes, he is the King, and the suit says, that he is indeed still this Yakuza style boss underneath the royalty.

I think the whole Yakuza shit is hilarious. It's just a way to spin the fact they are "modern royalty". That's what royalty is, a family with those loyal to them who will kill to protect them. And it's not all just. So many royal families in the past(maybe even now) do shady shit, have people killed and such. It's really not much different at all. I never let the whole "mafia/Yakuza" buzzwords sway my opinion on that matter otherwise. They are what they are, fancy suits or regal cloaks, indistinguishable.

Maybe they changed Cor's clothes, however we saw him in the Jump Festa trailer and he was as always hmmm

Being really indifferent regarding what they have changed(yeah, I'm a monster), Cor is the only one I'd actually feel some burning passion to see changed. I love his look(face, that is). Dude deserves better, fitting clothing than... urgh, that shit they got him wearing.

Those people were just wrong. It looked pretty much exactly how a HD KH should look like.

It DOES look like how an HD KH should look. I thought it looked awesome. I was kinda sad to see so many people bashing it.

Also, they didn't reveal the voice of the man holding Noctis for a reason. If you had heard his voice, you would have known which character it is. It seems very deliberate.

I wouldn't be surprised if that character is gone now, or heavily redesigned.

I've seen theories everywhere. The two characters that popped outta nowhere in E3 2013 was "not Cor" and "crazy uncle". Still, that was a while ago.

Personally, I'm not 100% sure if we should really read too much into Prologue Regis's outfit changes.

It could very well be Regis's chuunibyou battle outfit, while he still has a classy suit and tie for formal occasions.

After all, it's not like the game gas forfeited modern clothing aesthetics in lieu of a more stylised one.

My main takeaway was that they made him more.... rough around the edges.

We shouldn't read too much into concept art either. The concept art has old Regis' face with the new cloak/faux-armour.

Somewhat, I guess(maybe if you think about it a lot), but his nose(original Regis) is such a defining facial feature, and that's a white guy's nose. He'd have to be mixed, at the very least. He couldn't pass off as full-blown Asian... ever.

New Regis carries the pinstripe suit motif from the older design. I think by that spiritual connection alone we can put the fanfic to rest.
