Final Fantasy XV TwitchCon Presentation Stream

WTF is up with those crazy positive previews?! Don't tell me this game will actually be really good.
Please be good like MC 90+ good.

I've started going from house to house in my town and ask people if they know of this game called FFXV, handing out pamphlets with information and links on it. I think that's the least we all can do as real fans. I'm also hosting a FFXV-themed party over the weekend and invited many friends and co-workers to show them trailers and gameplay footage. I see it as my personal duty and responsibility to Tabata.

Tabby-chan would be proud.

"Hi, could I take a moment of your time to speak about Lord Tabata and his glorious new vision for us all?"

I showed a friend of mine various footage and he was really impressed with Altissia and the gameplay.

I think word of mouth is a good idea right now.

I'm reading the Gears of War 4 review thread and there are people who think 85-87 is a bad score. I fear for the FF XV review thread lol

Hehe, would be cool if you could share some pics with us.

I'd love to see those pamphlets and some party pics. :)

I'm not sure if it says more about you or me that you believed my post :D

Not even I would do that. Ishida on the other hand...

No, it's not! D:

I predict 90 pus/minus a few points. But I would hope it's even more. :)

Would definitely be nice, but hoping for more than a little above 90 would seem slightly excessive (not a bad thing per se, one can always hope!): only IX has scored higher than 92 (it scored 94) on metacritic. Personally, I'd say the score is likely between 90-92, and if it reaches that it has, critically at least, reached the highs of the FF of old (i.e. before FFXIII).

Apprently there's new info detailed in the intro:

two men awaken
one suffers the repudiation of the gods
another born to be a king
both are challenged to decide the fate of the world

Most likely
Noctis and Ravus

Ravus will definitely be more than a secondary villain.

Apparently a screen during the footage says that, here's other details:

The central theme of the game are the bonds. The first bond is with Noctis and his father.

The second is with his friends. To create the relationships between the team, they have taken am example of a football team.

The third link is with Luna, his girlfriend, a very strong girl.

Now talking about mini-games: chocobos, fishing, pinball, kitchen ...

Tabata and his translator telling the strength of women in the game, and in life.

The team has placed great emphasis not only in graphics, but also freedom. Gameplay inside!

Gameplay explaining the fishing minigame. There geeks fisheries development team.

After the fishing, we boarded the songs sound Regalia and the saga

The public asks songs from FFVII

We got off at the Soto del Malmalam and running to the Sanctuary of Telghey

Mission: To enter the grove to defeat engrendro of the deep.

The objective of the mission is to inflict damage more than 15,100 with the whole group

Hasegawa and Matsuzawa will draw while signing autographs with Tabata.

By the way, regarding General Glauca...
(Spoiler for everybody who didn't watch Kingsglaive)
Will he be in the game? He died in Kingsglaive (he did, right?)...but his armor did survive and can be used again by someone else? Since they introduced him to FFXV players (there was this graphic they showed of the top Niflheim villains) I guess he is still going to be in the game, right?

I'm hoping for 87 metacritic myself. If it doesn't at least match the utter disappointment that is Fallout 4 then I'll be very disappointed. I think people expecting (or hoping for) it to fall below XIII just because times have changed are being a little too jaded. The majority of the previews have been very positive, it's only really on GAF and Gamefaqs that there's this overwhelming cynicism surrounding the title. At least 85 should be doable.
I'm not sure about 90 though, only if it really delivers something special. Even critics darling Dark Souls 3 barely missed the mark. Witcher 3/Bloodborne territory (92) sounds even more unlikely.

So the thing they showed during the ATR said that was the structure at the start of the game. The game starts before the invasion so he would still be the General at that point. I think he is dead and won't appear in the game but we don't know yet.

What I played was an ambitious and tremendously entertaining combination of Western world design and Japanese character-building. If you ever wished that Final Fantasy and The Witcher could have a baby, it’d look a lot like FFXV.

Bu-bu-bu this game isn't an JRPG BECAUSE ITS OPEN WORLD

But it is really all about the armor. Will really no one use it anymore? Will Verstael just let it rot when Noctis and his friends are kicking their asses later? I really hope a General Glauca is still in the game.

You know I really do wonder how far in this time skip is or rather how many years this story truly spans. Not to many games give you a journey that happens I'm such a time frame but here at least what it looks like the happy ending isn't something that will be happening do quickly. From gladio getting a scar across his face, ignis being blind than them being a good bit older what happened I wonder. Can't wait to find out

My half blackout makes me miss things I guess lol. Is that
10

Edit: is that the spoiler thread nope nice try koozek

Dunno.

Lol, no. Really.

EDIT: Haha, only now noticed the mods' changes to the OP of that thread. The mods were all super pissed in that thread.

I knew it! I had a feeling
Ravus would have a big role. A lot of people seemed to hate him in Kingsglaive, but the little bits we got of him felt like they were setting up his origin story as much as Luna's. There's so much contrast between him and Noctis, and with Luna having ties to both of them it seems like an interesting setup.

I tried doing some digging, and found another vid from a different account with some screenshots of that footage. Maybe it's half real, half he recorded this:

over the video.

Or maybe Noctis is actually saying something else.
It's real. The blu-ray for Brotherhood uses segments with Luna thinking about Noctis to connect the different episodes into a movie (there's no episode 6). That footage is from one of those segments, and Noctis actually shouts "Luna" -- if you watch the video again knowing that, you won't hear "Stella" anymore. :)
There was also a special on Japanese TV that's basically a condensed 24-minute version of the whole Brotherhood "movie", which includes the cut shown in that video (as well as the Anime+ logo). The scene is longer in the blu-ray.

so you want them to lose sales?
I don't think 100 copies from edgy and angsty gaffers is going to hurt a game that is going to sell millions of copies.
I've been keeping track of some of the biggest haters' Metascore bets. My bookmarks never forget

It's going to be glorious. Your long post needs to be re-quoted over and over again when times comes.

All I hear is Stella lol, but it certainly wouldn't surprise me if someone altered it. XD
