Final Fantasy XV: World of Wonder video (ft. Florence + The Machine)

This realistic open map with monsters is getting way too absurd lol. They all look like regular animals not monsters. Noctis and co. will be like slaughtering natural habitat.

I actually feel the same -- I love watching them do their thing, but really don't want to fight them if they don't go after me first.

Maybe there will be some in-game explanation for why animals are becoming more and more aggressive/dangerous.

Everything in the distance looks quite bad, the lack of AF and level of detail is super low. Either way, I can't wait to play it.

Just as in real life I guess, some will attack you and you either run or fight, others will mind their own business unless you provoke them.

Also, some will definitely be controlled by the bad guys.

Either way, I agree, I will feel bad for attacking the animals.

This looks like a bunch of bullies, not heroes:

They even break the poor guy's horn, his honor.

It's going to be interesting.

I love what they are doing with the joints on the monsters, and areas with thick flesh having a bit of physics so the muscles tense and wiggle a bit as they move..really giving life to the enemies and they dont usually get this level of attention.. its great.

Yeah, pretty sure it's the same one. About time they finally showed more monsters.

Now that you say it, in this gif it's actually visible pretty well. When he puts his right, rear leg down the muscles flex and it wobbles a bit. I think I've never seen such detail in a game before on random monsters (or even in general).

Yeah, I mean it's not new in JRPG's, but the realistic animals here take it to the next level.
Not only the looks, but they animate and behave in so realistic ways.

Hunting marks will be interesting.

"Hey see that ONE-OF-A-KIND RARE, ENDANGERED ANIMAL?"
"Yeah, let's BUTCHER IT WITH A SWORD"

lol

I am so excited for next month! Dragon Quest VII, Steins; Gate 0, and to top it all off, this game! I won't have the time to play all of them but I don't care!

AmAzInG!
Cant wait, very happy to beat up these monsters-
The garulas seem friendly, and they only attack if you start the fight, but anyways what's the
story about the monsters and why does noctis beat up these monsters,
they honestly seem to be part of a natural ecosystem.

And what was dead eye doing, why was he so hated by the dusca locals?
I never understood that TBH.

lol The fact that everyone could just pull the car over on the side of the road and then go trophy hunting after hopping a fence always did seem absurd. I never felt weird about fucking shit up in FF12 tho.

Anyone notice that there are no splashes when the creatures interact with the water? Just ripples on the surface.
Not a big deal, just wonder if they have some engine limitation.

The reason to beat up those monsters will be for XP points lol =p. No, but seriously, I don't know, hunt? I guess the wild monsters from the open areas will be more docile while the dungeons ones will be agressive.

And probably the Dead Eye is a monster that causes fear on the locals, but they can't really mess with him because he's too strong.

They arent splashing hard enough I guess.. weve definitely seen splashes when noctis runs through the water, or the snake pops out of the water, just watch the E3 trailer.

I'm going to try and do as "green" a playthrough as possible. Noctis is royalty, he should be a good steward of the land, not part of a four-man extinction crew.

For food. XD

Fair enough -- what's the difference if Noctis gets his Garula sirloin from a wild animal, or buys it from the store? What you get from the store probably came from some abysmal Niflheim Garula factory farm anyway =P

Loving how all of this looks and moves. And Florence isn't really my thing but the tune is good and fits this trailer perfectly. Can't wait.

Cause Noctis is the Kang! He can do whatever he wants lol on a serious note dead eye could've perhaps ate some folks or was endangering the chocobos.. I mean they could say something gruesome but I guess he just needs to be put to sleep.

I don't think I will be able to hurt most of these beautiful creatures. :( They are just too lifelike and beautiful to me. That is going to be a problem...

Sounds like a good trophy/achievement candidate :)

No doubt!

If your kill count is low enough you should get a special beastmaster accessory that lets you call the animals to your aid in battle. Picturing Noctis rolling up to a battalion of bots on the back of a dual horn.

They can have splashes, they've shown the tech at SIGGRAPH.
Splash textures are procedurally generated if I got that right.

Anti aliasing, textures, draw distance, etc. are just about the last things on my mind after watching that video. I don't think I've ever been this excited to explore a game's world and see the things that inhabit it. Honestly, I'm blown away.

These creatures look awesome. Gonna be weird to have a bunch of mallrat-looking dudes running through these beautiful environments.

Will you beat up those fluffy chickens? The ones seen on this trailer next to their mom. ( I wish I wasn't on mobile internet so I can take a screen shot)

You can do a lvl one run if you want.. Gotta level up somehow ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Remember that versus scene with the behemoth in Insommia? Hopefully they do that.

Hard to believe the game is finally almost here, man feels like it was just yesterday that we were watching the livestream back in March & hyped as hell when the pre-orders showed up on Amazon. Really can't wait to play this game - it's been a long journey!

so how much will this game have racked up in costs from the day they started working on Versus XIII to Sept 30th? Marketing included. I feel like this cost should also include the movie and all of the other stuff they've done focusing around this game.

I'm very excited to finally play this game next month but damn there is no way it makes it's money back.

Yeah it's gonna be hard killing docile creatures. Gotta get meat for them meals though.

This is a funny comment to me because this was the only song on the EP I liked... because it reminded me of Sigur Ros.

well... you're not wrong. maybe it's because I knew the SR song before and am a fan of them anyway... but right now this song here in the trailer does nothing for me. kinda annoying to be honest.

Maybe there will be some in-game explanation for why animals are becoming more and more aggressive/dangerous.

This part doesn't seem to require too much explaining, just look at the monsters! They're a lot larger and more powerful than your typical real world animal, so I think it's more of a food chain thing. The monsters are tougher so they are more able to prey on human beings and/or defend their territory from them. It's also worth noting that Noctis and co. encounter them most often well away from society and as an isolated group of just a few humans, which could make them a more tempting target for predators.

Uhm... yes that's exactly what they're going for. Noctis and co. need to hunt those monsters to survive - at least when they want to have a nice meal at the camp at night.
