So, like the rest of the game's plot? /sYeah, and along with other spoilery things surrounding her, she really, really should've had a bigger main plot role, and it seems like the writers dumped her lol

I'm this close to buy Radiant Dawn just to get a case for it. It just feels sad without one
Mine was lost when I was moving from house to house back then.
Wait a minute you're using both Orochi and Hayato in your run?
yeesh hope you don't have too much trouble carrying two weak units
No I have plenty without cases, house fire as a kid lost most of my stuffIs that the only internationally released game you don't have the case for? lol
Magic seems pretty strong in this game so far. They can't take a hit for anything, but they can dish out some great damage. I've been using them as DPS cannons. Until lately, I've only taken 1 out at a time on maps. It's been rough to keep them out of enemy attacks, but not too bad so far.
That's hilarious given how bad Hayato is in Birthright. I thought Ophelia was supposed to be decent though? Or is that just Shun bias lolmagic is pretty good
magic users are not, aside from Corrin the only good ones are Leo and Revelation!Hayato

Someone mentioned a NX FE in the Fire Emblem sales thread and that got me thinking. The handheld NX should probably be powerful enough to run Wii and GC games at the very least. That means we could see Wii/GC VC on the handheld NX.
That means there's a chance I can actually play the Radiance duology on the kind of device I prefer. Do it Nintendo! I'd pay a dumb amount of money for a Radiance Collection on the Handheld NX.
I guess, but Lilith has always really stood out to me in that department, but I really don't see the point of making, it feels like they were going to make her way more relevant then backed off.her another child of Anankos, and MC's sister. They don't use it at all in the plot, and she may have well been a random fishdragon
I'd pay double for a Fire Emblem: Legacy Collection that brings over the first 6 games (and BS Fire Emblem since the only way to really play that is New Mystery which was never localized) to the west, be it the NX, 3DS or whichever system they choose to release it on. Given the rumors around Mother 3 being translated and Fire Emblem's recent renaissance, it's not out of the question.
I would love to see some of the older FEs localized, but doing that as a collection would be a massive project. Despite being sprite games, they still have quote large scripts. If Mother 3 truly does happen, I could possibly see them doing a FE6 or Mystery of the Emblem localization, but going all the way back to the NES/SNES games seems unlikely. Possible, but unlikely.
At this point, playing PoR/RD on a handheld is the only real dream I have since I missed both those games and I don't love playing turn based strategy titles on console.
I think pre-GBA FE would be too weird to appeal to the average Awakening fan, even with Genealogy's children mechanic.
Chapter 12 Birthright is something else. If I was on Normal, maybe fighting enemies would seem like more of an option. Think I'll attach Corrin to a Pegasus, use my other units to choke off and grab the the items and rush the exit.
Hate to give up that EXP, but it's Birthright and I think my squad is not prepared for this. The choke points would be useful, but too many ranged enemies that hit super damn hard.
heh, my answer to that and chapter 10 was to shuriken spam my way through it all
killed all but 3 enemies including the boss
SFC era was the renaissance era. If you are going to modernize and remake the game the least you can do is make it like FE12 and MyUnit not as intrusive to the game.
i thought people hated kris cause he/she was extremely intrusive to the game
This Translation thing is just hilarious, its just people jumping on the bandwagon because something is popular or because of one image.
I wonder why they didn't complain about Awakening, that game is rather different then the Japanese version (Dialogue wise)?
I'm gonna stay away from Fire Emblem threads, they are a mess
Also hooray for success! FE is here to stay
I meant in comparison to the MyUnit characters in Awakening and Fates.
A MyUnit character is going to be intrusive regardless. The least you can do in a remake is not make them the star or not include them entirely.
Unlike the other two games, Chris isn't necessary to certain battles like Marth is.
You are going to have to get a MyUnit character regardless with the direction of the franchise, the least you can do is make it less intrusive and focus more on the stars of the game.

but the main argument against kris is that he/she literally becomes the star of the game
I feel like all this snoozeworthy bickering about localization and translations and the 12 different controversies for Fates is the most anyone has ever talked about Fire Emblem in the West and it makes me sad
...is that why the artbook is called Knights of Iris?
I kind of fell out of fandom after Shadow Dragon because all I cared about in high scool was anime so I didn't really follow Awakening's release before coming over here and only finally played it last year after buying a 3DS.
I wonder what other crazy changes exist that I am totally oblivious to.
The sad thing is that I've found a lot of the dialogue to be great, and that's totally getting overshadowed by petty stuff.

I'll be honest, I'm not great at these games despite enjoying the challenge. As someone who is awful with choices, Attack/Defense stance throws me for a loop because I feel like I need to be using defense stance to get through tough spots, but then end up not having enough units around to go deal with problems that arise. It's that risk reward that throws me off.
On the subject of liberal changes to the game, apparently someone is working on expanding the same-sex options in Fates via an unofficial patch. Seems interesting: https://gbatemp.net/threads/fire-emblem-fates-expanded-same-sex-marriage-patch-wip.416109/
They did the same for Awakening iirc, don't like Ophelia/Soleil one bit; Soleil's supports with Forrest and Ophelia made me hate the character.
