Fury QR Ephraim yay/nay? He has similar stats to Xander and that build works for him, though yeah he doesn't have Distant Counter. Not sure if I want to do TA Lancebreaker for him when I have a Summer FRobin with that build and she can do it better.

I went Fury/Lancebreaker for mine, but he's not that great in a fight because of his low speed. Definitely more of a buffer than a front line fighter, like Eirika.

I'm so happy I was able to complete the Legion battle this time, last time none of my characters were strong enough.

I'm so glad we got SS banner! Amelia's kind of a surprise but I suppose she makes sense as armored axe more than Gilliam.

A bit late but on the topic of 5* discussed yesterday, I've been playing for like 7-8 weeks and have pulled 10 5* and upgraded one Cordelia from 4* to 5*. I*ve spent very little on orbs, $30 or so. Pretty lucky so far I'd say.

Looks good. The other option would be Vantage but that's harder to use.

If she is your first, the whole thing plays a bit differently than you might expect from the whale-y builds you see. In particular, my dragon team (YTiki, Nowi, Fae, Ninian) really plays more like "protect the queeen" than a flexible self-buffing experience.

That's why I'm trying to roll dupes--hasn't happened; doesn't look like it will happen, but whatever. It seems unfair that every other "X emblem" team has some buffs on lower rarity units, while dragon emblem has only one buff, on one 5* exclusive.

Seth is more like an Oifey - a prepromote with solid growths, just like Titania and Frederick.

Best skills on Boey are Renewal and Ignis honestly.

Earth Boost can be giggily on an Armor Team. Owl weapon damage is kinda low compared to the -blade tomes

Thanks for the advice. It's been a while since I played SS and it's not really my favourite entry in the series so I'd forgotten Seth was a prepromote. It doesn't help that prepromotes are usually levelheaded and rational like Abel but a bit more experienced. Makes those archetypes run together in my mind.

I'll probably go for Earth Boost since I'm good on Renewal and Ignis thanks to pulling a couple of Fae and Henry over my time playing. It's a bit of a waste since it's a 4* skill unlike the Owl+ tome, but unless blade tomes get worse any time soon there's not much reason to run anything else.

I'd never considered its use on Armor teams, though, mainly because I don't tend to run armors due to the overabundance of powerful mages and their frustratingly low movement range. I've even got a Hector, Zephiel and Effie.

I can see why Delthea would be solid, but it seems like a lot to lose Nowi. I would rather have something like YTiki, Nowi, Fae, and Delthea with all of the Dragons having Fortify Dragons in their C slot. Of course, rolling dupe ninians has proven to be...challenging.

On the other hand, Delthea takes care of Falchion users handily and the dragons do benefit from having access to an offensive buff. I may give it a shot. You lose out on baiting reds well, and you trade a tanky unit for another fragile one, but the idea seems flexible at least.

Nowi wouldn't really do much on this team, just give Ninian Triangle Adept, and as you said Delthea takes care of practically most reds.

Ideally one C slot, most likely on Fae, should be Panic Ploy. Valter will come with it.

Wasn't able to beat Infernal Legion the first time it was out but finally managed to beat it this time. It's a nice when you feel like you're progressing.

Legion quests weren't too bad thanks in part to Legion himself being good at 4*. He had enough speed to avoid being doubled by the Lunatic versions of himself and then take them out with his special on the next turn. Hell, Alfonse got hit harder due to being doubled, he barely survived the Legion in 7-2 despite being a tanky red.

yes, but it requires an armor unit to be next to her. It seems like it applies a +1 move buff to everyone at the start of the turn.

I'd imagine one limitation of it working that way is you can't Reposition a Hector next to her and then have him receive it on that turn.

The pressure is on for me. I don't have any focus units to use. I feel like need to pull to have someone. Considering how many 5* units and a decent group of 4* units I have but none included , they really targeted me. My quest for S Corrin has to wait I guess.

I honestly think I can hit 4800 points with a 4* if I give them full SI. And Subaki is worth giving skills to. I think I'll try doing 3-4 matches with hector/nowi then bring 4* Eliwood along with my cavalry team to finish off.

If I can't do it, oh well I'll fall to 18 and work back up to 20 when I can use Sharena or Valter in the next one.

I mean I'd love to pull on this banner because Sacred Stones is probably the only FE game I have a real attachment to, but I still would really like Julia and Spring Corrin.

I think with tomorrow's paralogue there will be new chain challenges as well. So at least there will be quite a few orbs to gather.

I think Tana's Guidance will be a pretty nifty skill for GHB and trial maps. You can easily cross rivers, forests and mountains with it so it'll have its niches.

I'm not sure what you mean, I just know a rank 1 arena player who settled on that for his team and agree with him that it's an effective composition.

I think Tana's Guidance will be a pretty nifty skill for GHB and trial maps. You can easily cross rivers, forests and mountains with it so it'll have its niches.

Not really looking forward to Firesweep weapon users bringing their teleporting friends up next to them to finish off my defenders but we'll see if the AI uses it like it does Wings of Mercy/Escape Route.

That'd be too much of a departure from her original design. She never had a unique full promotion design, it makes sense to work off the original established one with embellishments reflecting her class here, rather than giving her something totally new.

I'd see what your first summon attempt on the new banner looks like first. I am tempted to promote Legion to 5* if I can't pull Amelia, because I have a long term plan to do that anyway to sacrifice his fury 3 and Axe to my -def/+Res Camilla. I would rather promote Tharja or Nino first though.

Lunatic Legion was a bit dicey but managed it with Eldigan and Xander tanking everything on the defense tiles while Cecilia and Reinhardt took out any mages. Haven't tried Infernal yet.

If your Frederick is in a mage's path, you're not utilizing his strengths. Consider putting a skill like Drag Back on him if you're having trouble keeping him out of harm's way.

Legion's RES is 18, which provides roughly the same amount of magic protection, which is to say none. And unlike Frederick, he has poor DEF. (Not to mention Frederick's access to Calvary boosts.) If you don't want a squishy axe user, Legion probably won't help much in that regard.

You have a valid point. I originally thought of the second horse team which got postponed as I can't find a red rider among other things. Probably it's more of my attention shifting to putting together a flier team finally.

I dunno, this focus group threw me a ranch as I usually have a usable one ready.
