Perhaps that was a poor choice of words. But the tone and approach of MoS was very much "what if Superman and the Kryptonians landed in the real world" sci-fi, rather than superhero fantasy.

I understand, but IMO WW and others can still work in that gritty semi-realistic sci-fi setting.

Another perfect suit from Snyder.

I still don't understand people saying they're rushing. Do these people not realize it's taking us 3 years just to get one movie?

Looks pretty cool. That's one thing with Zack Snyder guiding this thing is that visually, shit will look good.

This. Some would like to dismiss this or act like it's not that important but I would disagree. The visuals can be just important as the script. You have to be sold visually on the concept. At least now with a movie such as this. That I believe is what helps you suspend disbelief and let you accept the fantastic and out of this world nature of what is going to be shown and told to you.

If MOS had a good script, it'd be seen as one of the best comic-book films. Acting and direction were fine, it was the story that was a mess.

When it comes to super heroes, visuals and style are hugely important yes. They have to sell the world as believable and the characters as believably cool. It's the same with comics - a great artist can really make all the difference.

It's been my bugbear with some of the marvel movies, is that they just don't look as stylistically cool as they should.

It's not everything though. Man of Steel had such significant story problems that it really hurt the movie, even though the visuals were fantastic.

I wonder if the origin story is going to be in the background.

For example, we see Batman watching the news,
"Journey to the Mariana Trench? What lies at the bottom? See for yourself, tomorrow, live..."

It's okay, Goyer got fired. We have Chris Terrio, thanks to based Batfleck.

According to Faraci both Aquaman and Flash have very brief cameos. Although apparently Amy Adams had a scene with Jason Momoa, so I don't know.

So we know the Flash is getting a movie and has been cast (I can't see it being better than Arrowverse and I probably won't give it a fair shake because I don't think DC is being fair to the Arrowverse).

Cyborg, Wonder Woman, and Aquaman will all be introduced in BvS. Batman and Superman are the title characters.

All that leaves is Green Lantern. I can't seem to find any info. Has DC said anything about GL in regards to the new DCLAU?

Let's not act like the Arrowverse is amazing. It's constantly dragged down by unnecessary relationship drama and pointless arguing.

I don't see how DC is being unfair to them, they're basically letting them do whatever they want, who cares if they're not incorporated into the movies later, it actually helps the shows, less restrictions.

No, see people won't get it. They'll be confused.

We NEED 120 minutes explaining where Aquaman was during MOS. We NEED IT. Otherwise people will have to connect the dots and shit.

Please, Arrowverse is the best cape material we've gotten since the DCAU.

They basically used the TV show to piggyback an announcement of the film actor and overshadowed the shows success in the news. Plus they aren't letting the Arrowverse use anything directly connected to the Bat family or Supes.

Looks awesome. I really like Momoa and new 52 has made me an aquaman fan.

It's disappointing that it looks like every DCCU thread will have at least half the posts essentially be "lol talentless clusterfuck. Marvel is the only one who can make movies. Every DC movie is going to suck. I know because Marvel and MoS."

I didn't think Man of Steel was very good, but it was still okay and better than some of marvel's movies like Iron Man 2, the first Cap, and Thor.

Terrio was brought on to replace Goyer as writer on BvS and JL (and we don't have any reason to believe he'd write a shit script), Snyder is a great director when it comes to visuals, they already confirmed the director for Wonder Woman is a talented woman who's worked on Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad, casting had been pretty solid for the universe overall, etc.

I don't see where all the cynicism and doom/gloom regarding the DCCU is coming from unless you think you can predict the quality of every future film based on MoS or you deify marvel. By all accounts it looks like they're bringing in a ton of talent.

I see this as a positive. Bat fam already takes up like a 1/3rd of the comic books, 1/3rd+ the animated films every year, and pretty much all of everything else no need for it take over TV as well. Already got Dick in Titans anyway.

I would prefer Grant Gustin over Ezra Miller, but I would prefer almost anyone over Ezra.
