Peronally can't get over the lack of blonde hair.

Look pretty badass.

But.

Tridents are supposed to have three points, not five. Silly Zack Snyder.
It's pretty accurate to his comic weapon

Please, Arrowverse is the best cape material we've gotten since the DCAU.

They basically used the TV show to piggyback an announcement of the film actor and overshadowed the shows success in the news. Plus they aren't letting the Arrowverse use anything directly connected to the Bat family or Supes.

How has the show's success been overshadowed? All talk about the Flash has been dominated by the TV show before, during, and since the Ezra Miller announcement. It's clear it's still important to WB/DC and will be even after the movie is out.

As for not using Bats and Supes, that still leaves them hundreds of characters and concepts to play with. The DC Universe does not start and stop with those two characters.

Was trying to figure out why I objected to Wonder Woman, apart from her raily supermodel "muscles" but it is the way her tiara makes her cranium look tiny, like Zippy the pinhead.

Shh!

The most successful show on the network and one of the most buzzed about shows airing... is being overshadowed by an announcement 5 months ago

Everyone knows that!

I'm sorry, but this never made any sense to me.

If you're up against enemies that're giving Superman and Green Lantern trouble... why would great whites do anything to them?

I don't think one on one Parademons would give trouble to Superman and/or Green Lantern but a whole army of them would. so it's good to cut down their numbers.

Terrio was brought on to replace Goyer as writer on BvS and JL (and we don't have any reason to believe he'd write a shit script), Snyder is a great director when it comes to visuals,

I see this posted in these threads all time and think it seriously underestimates what exactly it is a director does and should do. There's more to being a director than just producing cool visuals. You can write a kickass script, but if the director doesn't have a strong grip on narrative, pacing, tone, etc. they can very easily fumble a quality screenplay and turn it into a mediocre movie. Quiz Show is a great example of a director's sensibilities turning an excellent screenplay into an overall meh movie.

I'm consistently surprised by how negative the knee-jerk reactions are to this stuff. If you didn't like Man of Steel, I can understand your hesitancy towards the DCU since it will seemingly follow that tone. I don't think it is fair to rail against Snyder or the DCU based on this one picture. We have no idea how Aquaman will be characterized or implemented yet. Let's wait and see.

Furthermore, I'm glad they've gotten liberal with Aquaman's design while staying true to several aspects. I for one am happy we don't have another blond, white guy super hero.

Finally, for those that object to DC going Justice League first, I strongly disagree with your objections. How many Marvel solo films have we seen? How many superhero origin stories have we been inundated with over the past 5 years? People lining up to see these movies are not exclusively choosing Marvel or DC; they're seeing both. And audiences are going to be fatigued from seeing so many hero origin stories. I trust WBs decision to respect their audiences enough to know who Aquaman and Wonder Woman are without needing their own solo set up movies.

They wouldn't, but they need to have Aquaman appear useful in some way. Aquaman only comes in two speeds:

1. Lame superfriends kidnap victim
2. Edgy 90's tryhard

Watching DC try and make him cool and not completely worthless is unintentionally hilarious.

Too right. I like you.

There's so many positives riding next to this project. From the design and casting, to the alternate approach in telling their stories. It's definitely going to live snugly between the likes of Marvel's output, and Fox's adaptations.

I love how the costume designers have kept the character's colours; from the green pants to the bronze-like/orange armour. I am absolutely impressed by WB's casting director's choices. These characters should not be shackled to their roots; some as far as 75 years ago. These characters will outlive us all; and I'm just glad the casting reflects contemporary times; as in, not everyone is a blonde haired caucasian with blue eyes.

This is one of my favourite art works of my favourite hereos. Yet... Green Lantern, Flash, and Aquaman have the exact same face....

Let the ethnic casting flowwww

Perhaps that was a poor choice of words. But the tone and approach of MoS was very much "what if Superman and the Kryptonians landed in the real world" sci-fi, rather than superhero fantasy.

well it didn't work.....because thats as superhero fantasy as it gets....not that I don't love my Faora Ul fantasy...:D

Ezra Miller for Flash, I'm not sure. Think I just hate his face.

What I want to see from Justice League is a good script and good chemistry that hopefully leads to good acting and the rest should flow well. Also, absolutely no Superman is Jesus, not even subtle in MoS, just don't do it at all next time please.

One thing is for certain: the people playing these superheroes are anything but bitchmade. These are some big, scary sommbitches.

I think Marvel's scariest looking actor is...Thor? And he spends half his screen time grinning about something. The one Kree dude in GoTG looked badass but he got smoked. Everyone else looks downright polite next to DC's dark look.

Looks like a costume. Reminds me of those 80s inspired cheesy god outfits from the Clash of the Titans remake.

It's what annoys me about Thanos. He should look like the baddest motherfucker ever and he's so... not. At all.

Hopefully Darkseid is better realised on screen.

I'm actually struggling to think of blond white guy superheroes outside of Aquaman and Green Arrow. Seems like most of the big Marvel and DC white male superheroes have brown or black hair. Iron Fist is the only other one coming to mind off the top of my head.

edit: Thor... and Cap... alright I suck.

ummmmm, Aquaman being blond is a huge part of his origin.

That can easily be omitted. Come on. Marvel changed Ultron's origin. I think DC/wb/Snyder can justify a Aquaman not being blonde.

Edit: beaten. It's such a small thing now. Not a good reason to not like this look in my opinion. I of course would have liked more color but, that's me. Overall he looks good.
