He already fights a shit ton of people from the ocean. He doesn't have to trick anyone. And even so, dude is still strong as all hell. That's a stupid power. Aquaman first has to trick you into standing really close to the shoreline.

Alternatively, he could create tsunamis or tidal waves to swarm enemies, not to mention playing the defensive game of waiting for the enemy to approach ;]That's a stupid power. Aquaman first has to trick you into standing really close to the shoreline.

Well, maybe it's not a trident but a giant fork.Look pretty badass.
But.
Tridents are supposed to have three points, not five. Silly Zack Snyder.

Please, Arrowverse is the best cape material we've gotten since the DCAU.
They basically used the TV show to piggyback an announcement of the film actor and overshadowed the shows success in the news. Plus they aren't letting the Arrowverse use anything directly connected to the Bat family or Supes.

How has the show's success been overshadowed? All talk about the Flash has been dominated by the TV show before, during, and since the Ezra Miller announcement. It's clear it's still important to WB/DC and will be even after the movie is out.
As for not using Bats and Supes, that still leaves them hundreds of characters and concepts to play with. The DC Universe does not start and stop with those two characters.
Look pretty badass.

I'm sorry, but this never made any sense to me.
If you're up against enemies that're giving Superman and Green Lantern trouble... why would great whites do anything to them?

They are megalodons, not great whites. So it actually makes sense

Terrio was brought on to replace Goyer as writer on BvS and JL (and we don't have any reason to believe he'd write a shit script), Snyder is a great director when it comes to visuals,

I'm consistently surprised by how negative the knee-jerk reactions are to this stuff. If you didn't like Man of Steel, I can understand your hesitancy towards the DCU since it will seemingly follow that tone. I don't think it is fair to rail against Snyder or the DCU based on this one picture. We have no idea how Aquaman will be characterized or implemented yet. Let's wait and see.
Furthermore, I'm glad they've gotten liberal with Aquaman's design while staying true to several aspects. I for one am happy we don't have another blond, white guy super hero.
Finally, for those that object to DC going Justice League first, I strongly disagree with your objections. How many Marvel solo films have we seen? How many superhero origin stories have we been inundated with over the past 5 years? People lining up to see these movies are not exclusively choosing Marvel or DC; they're seeing both. And audiences are going to be fatigued from seeing so many hero origin stories. I trust WBs decision to respect their audiences enough to know who Aquaman and Wonder Woman are without needing their own solo set up movies.
No... that's still no. They're just big sharks.
Perhaps that was a poor choice of words. But the tone and approach of MoS was very much "what if Superman and the Kryptonians landed in the real world" sci-fi, rather than superhero fantasy.
Good jobCleaned up the image so that the words weren't in the way.

Wait a minute, I thought Aquaman was invulnerable to at least knives. How does he lose his hands to fish? And so embarressing when it used against you

2. Edgy 90's tryhard
.
Pretty sure he was edgy before the 90s.....but back then no one read his comics.
One thing is for certain: the people playing these superheroes are anything but bitchmade. These are some big, scary sommbitches.
I think Marvel's scariest looking actor is...Thor? And he spends half his screen time grinning about something. The one Kree dude in GoTG looked badass but he got smoked. Everyone else looks downright polite next to DC's dark look.

ummmmm, Aquaman being blond is a huge part of his origin.
Correct me if I'm wrong but that was retconned in the New 52, was it not?
