First Madden 360 [RENDERED] shot!

I just read that as...
for the most part their uniforms are tight fitting and don't really...fap when the are moving on the field.
Well thank god.

Why would they show Fifa when the system will more than likely be launching in America first and for the most part the country doesn't give a damn about soccer? :P

I'm going to fast forward to Saturday, catch you guys later :lol

Why dont they show FIFA 2006 screens instead? Football is much more appreciated around the world than NFL, which is only big Amerika.

Hmm, let's see. MS is an American company. EA is an American company. Madden is EA's cash cow and a true "system seller" for MS. The NFL Draft is occurring this weekend....yeah you're right! Screw Madden! No one in Europe gives a crap!

Aside from all the other reason listed, it also helps that sales wise it's probably Madden in America = FIFA worldwide.

So far this has nothing to do with MS though. It doesn't even say it's for Xbox 360. Thread titles needs to be changed.

Yeah. For all we know they could be advertising Madden 07 a year+ in advance :lol

Well they're not calling it Madden 06. The only official announcement says this is what a next gen Madden *could* look like!

You're right. And they're spending a pretty good amount of resources to do this too. All over a year in advance! Makes perfect business sense....

That would be really stupid of them to kill the sales of their current product by showing a game that's a couple a years away from being released but who knows.

The concept art is only the first step. Like dude said above, this draft commercial is probably just two characters running and getting tackled like it seems to be leading up to.

I wouldn't be surprised if it takes a year from now to have the finished game up and running on next gen hardware.

Maybe artist dude can give some more insight.

Wow. You think EA would take out a 60 second teaser add on ESPN during the first hour of a major event for a product that's not going to be available for 18 months?

I would also like to think that a 60 second commercial is gonna involve more than Strahan tackling McNabb and then it's over! :lol

looks like he has that wandering/lame eye

but really, who is going to be playing this game all zoomed in like that? and the replay clips get old FAST. this is further proof that developers refuse to think outside the box and get all jacked up about their 3d engines. sorry i'm not impressed one bit. i really could care less about the whole "gfx" ego stroking.

You can almost count on there being no gameplay. Probably highly cinematic, lots of panoramas, players shrouded in darkness, etc. Its easy to stretch these things out to 60s.

Dude.. this is the second picture of 5. I expect we might see a game shot or two still to come.

Then again, how funny would it be if Sony broke EA off to set this all of up just to pull the rug from underneath MS. Get people riled up for next gen Madden only to say "Only on PS3".

That would OWN! :lol :lol

Funny thing is that I wouldn't be suprised one bit if Sony did this.

Um,yea that's nice dude.

No way that PS3 exclusive would happen, they wouldn't bother showing it this early if that was the case.

Ramirez he's right. get over it.

PS: that's the wrong bar configuration for Strahan's helmet.
gg EA.

Not many sports game have commercials from a gameplay angle. That's nothing new.

Holy crap, that's gigadent? No wonder I got an all-familiar headache reading his tripe.

*updates stat sheet*

After reading this thread, EA's deal with the NFL was more then just a business move. It was to protect US! See, if there were other NFL games coming out next generation we would have 4 times more thread wars over McNabb's ass cheeks getting rendered correctly over 3 or 4 different games. Multiply that by the number of consoles coming out, it would be a mess! All EA did was cut the fat, and limit us the headache of seeing people who dont even care about football argue about them over multiple games over multiple consoles!

God bless you EA, you truely are the king of kings!

Dear NathKenn/EA/Tiburon:

I have held this for long enough, but I am playing my reparations card. The Giants went to the Super Bowl in 2001 and in Madden 2002, they were still rated pretty lowly. They were not in the top ten teams overall, and they were rated below a 78 in offense, they did have an 85 defense rating though.

Do you think this is fair to Giants fans like me? Why are the Falcons, who ended up what, 4-11 the season before the last so good in Madden 2005? I demand that the Giants be rated at least 90+ ovr this season. At the very least don't shaft me like you always do. Take some points from that overrated Bucs defense and pass them off to me and my Giants!

Your friend,

-Wellington.

I guess, but just barely. It's not like football players wear kimonos, for the most part their uniforms are tight fitting and don't really flow in the wind or flap when the are moving on the field.

you'd be suprised how much those small details heighten the realism. Its like collision in racing games really, when i hit a guy i wanna see my pads move i wanna see my shirt crunch up and move.

it doesnt have to be cloth swaying in the wind you know.

100% unlikely. Not from me just saying that, but the NFL would be mighty pissed. EA has sole rights, and the NFL want as much cash as possible from it, Madden will be on every console. No Madden will ever be exclusive as long as the userbase is half way decent. It's on Xbox360, and it will be on PS3.
