I can tell just by looking at that Ronaldinho pic, the animation is going to be unbelievable. See the way he's shifting his weight to the side trying to control the ball?

Fantastic.

Now wheres my Xbox 360 version KONAMI!!! Jesus, i cant wait to see what the next gen version will look like.

Are any older gamers (25+) starting to wonder why people proclaim every new shot as "horrible" next gen or not?

Just wondering if I'm alone.

This game looks fantastic and I can't wait to play it, and it's sequel on next gen systems.

The game plays great but it's about they fix the shitty replay system that's been the same since ISS on ps1, the UI and the shitty save/load method. Why are japenese devs so lazy? :/

Sequel to the best football series ever made...was there ever any doubt that I wanted this game? :lol I just love this game series...they get better and better each year and even tiny adjustments and changes make a massive difference to the game.

I just hope the Xbox version has a better online mode this time. Pro Evo 4 online was ruined by droppers and stat whores, plus you couldn't play offline mode while signed into Xbox Live :( Although I heard that the US version didn't even have an online mode? :o That's just unforgiveable, IMO

No doubt. I was reading your post and thinking, damn, my Xbox version doesn't even HAVE an online mode.

I thought it was because I've never met an American online while I was playing it :lol It's just such a stupid decision. Why remove something that already exists? A lot of Euro Xbox games have Live play taken out so it happens to us much more than it happens to America (Sega's sports games, and most EA games have had their online play ripped out for the PAL market)

I'm sure it was Konami's way of saying "Thanks for finally buying the good soccer game. Make sure and buy it next year and mayber you can play it online." :(

i agree with ya 100% seems like the new trend to be cool is to spout out how horrible something looks. lol

sorta makes nintendo seem more and more right when you think about it. all these kids bad mouthing graphics (who really have no clue). the more realistic they become the more critical people are becoming of them which leads to that it's gunna be more and more about playbility and story and originality.

will be an interesting ride next gen .

oh pong of next gen, where art though

You are 100% right! In every fucking thread novadays, it dosen´t matter how great a game is looking, you can bet your ass that some stupid idiot comes in and says" it looks like shit"

I looks fucking great and if there is anyone who dont think so. Go and fuck yourself! This is the sequel to THE best sport game ever, show some fucking respect!

KONAMI PLEASE FUCK OFF WITH THE 3 MONTH UPDATES

Take some time and give us a PROPER update you COCKMASTERS

The models are more or less the same. The biggest leap in graphics will be animation, as usual. Makes all the difference.

Some details (WE9):

- "Nippon Challenge Go for 2006" mode in which players lead the Japanese national team towards qualification for the coming World Cup.
- New motions have been added for an even more realistic game play.
- New weather condition: Snow. You will see breath coming from the players mouths to add realism.
- Improved way players move on the pitch.
- 2 new positions : Wingback (Like Cafu) and Second top (like Scholes)
- In Master League, the system of curve of evolution of the players will be again improved as well as the system of drive of the players.
- Improved online play with less noticeable lags. (Online play may not be suitable for usage outside of Japan!)
- Possibility of creating up to 20 profiles of players in order to safeguard the statistics of their victories and defeats.
- The online mode will make it possible to play 2 in the same team.
- Possibility of using its team of Master League in the online mode.
- New tournaments online organized by the service on line of Konami
- Commentary by Jon Kabira and Tsuyoshi Kitazawa.
- Shunsuke Nakamura and Zico on the cover and Shunsuke Nakamua in the Intro Video.
- Supports latest FIFA rules.
- New Master League additions.
- New "Memorial Match" function.
- New Stadiums : "Mestalla - FC Valencia" & "Riazor - Deportivo la Corugna".
- Kits of season 05/06 for Liga and Eredivisie.
- Real font (numbers & names) for licensed teams
- New kits for unlicensed teams
- Shirt outside the short
- new ball : Finale Orange
- different colour Wristbands (Ronaldinho pict)
- Finger tape (Rooney pict)
- Cycling under shorts (Cannavaro pict)

I love how they mention stupid shit like "finger tape". I suppose the hardcore of the hardcore will get excited

We're sorry, we can't move on to next gen until we finish our backlog of seven more PS2 versions.

"Ugh shut up"

absolutely NOT.

I love WE as much as the next guy, but this is getting stupid. Okay, the changes that they do manage to cram in in the 3 month intervals is pretty good, but they need to take the time to acutally take the game to the next level.

There are a lot of things that aren't perfect in WE , and trying to fix it with 3 month releases isn't helping.

Since the PS2 came out we've had WE5 to WE9. FIVE iterations of the game. With multiple versions of each title. There are AT LEAST 12 versions of Winning Eleven on the PS2...

My art history teacher told me that the knee cap is the hardest thing to paint/draw. I have to agree with him after seeing these pics.

Em, you're not really making much sense. This is the proper update. Released annually. This is the one that I buy (+ PES provided it is superior). They'd better fucking release it. Bitch during WE9 Liveware Evolution (which I will skip, as I did with WE8LE -- in fact, it may not exist... WE9 was said to be the last PS2 WE, but that may just effectively mean 'no W10 on PS2'), but not here.

Furthermore, every 3 months? You're just exaggerating for effect. WE+ (FE, International, Liveware) is generally ~5 months before the next true WE. Otherwise we've got PES (small crew required, for Europe -- small changes in gameplay for different market) and J-League (also very few resources needed, for crazed fans that want a huge focus on Japanese soccer). Remove the different iterations and I'm positive you'd see FEWER changes between each true WE. From WE5 to WE6 to WE7 to WE8 and I suspect to WE9... they all play very differently with significant improvements. Skip the versions in-between if you'd like.

Regardless, I'm pretty confident that the main designers (Seabass, etc) have already begun working on WE10 for PS3. Since they'll be able to multiply the amount of animation several times, the logistics will be changed considerably. I expect a huge change.

Damn, so still no English, French and German (well who cares) sponsor, huh?

And I want way more options for editing team jerseys!

Come on Konami!

Also disappointed in only two new stadiums??? How hard is it to throw in 3 more English stadiums (A white heart lane, A Goodison Park), and like 3 more intl. stadiums like they did with De Kuip in WE7.
