Lowest of my adult life this morning, 218.3. I wanted to be in the 20x range by the wedding, but doubt it will happen. At least my slim fit tux fits like a glove now.

nice transformation ninja!

I'll have to ask my dr.

I know my right side of chest/shoulder naturally sits lower, and my left hip is higher (but I think that leg is longer?)

So I've been wanting to try those lifts free weight, but I don't want a fucked spine, trying to get swole lol

Just found out I've lost 30+ pounds in the past few months. I'd all be given up in seeing result but this thread, and increased encouragement from friends, has been inspiring to me. So thank you.

Looking to start lifting next week, after my work schedule stabilizes and I've been able to start meal prepping for a bit.

So, some of my coworkers want to lose some weight. I told them to make a pact to eat healthier together and I would join in to support them

One of them says that they should all try to be more like Szu.

I said, "Me too, I want to be more like Szu."
:p

This thread has been a great source of motivation and information for me on my journey the last year. I am not sure why it took so long for me to post but am glad I did.

Seeing others on the same journey, whether the beginning middle or ... err, well, there is no end. but it is damn amazing and I am proud to be part of this community. :)

I don't necessarily feel comfortable giving advice to others yet I will try to be supportive as best I can. Positivity is always the way to go.

Congrats man. I hit the "lowest weight of my adult life" period a couple of months back and it felt so damn weird to enter that uncharted territory where each new day was probably going to be an all-time lowest adult weight and I had no idea what I'd look like each morning. Don't be afraid to enjoy your wedding festivities!

Had 100 calories left for the day. Went to the fridge for a healthy snack. The man inside me only saw the alcohol.

"You know what to do."

Oh don't worry. Bulk incoming as soon as wedding is over. Honeymoon is all inclusive in Jamaica. Good times ahead.

Beautiful stuff dude. Also, I weigh more than you now! :)

Thank you sir! Soon the right picture will be a before picture.

Grats man. Looking at that pic I'm kind of amused by how similar we are (minus your years of weight lifting results...); similar heights, similar chests, similar body hair... I just wish my beard game were as strong as yours; tried growing one a few months ago and it came out poorly. :(

mine looked terrible the first couple months and then I grew into it. Some guys need a little longer.

I discovered my new go to meal tonight. Sushi burrito. Holy shit that thing was amazing.

Is it wise to do HIIT after a set of stronglifts 5x5?

I aim to cut fat. I will change my diet too. Its just hard for me to find a new routine, so id love to stay on stronglifts.

Recently wore my old suit that i used for interviews and fancy occasions for the first time since I started my whole weightlifting journey. It definitely doesn't fit as well as it used to. Its a bit more tight at the shoulders and the pants are much looser due to my new physique. I'll have to get it tailored to fit my new body, but its a good problem to have. Except having to do that for all my pants since I'm no longer a size 38 (more like a 34 now) ugh its gonna suck having to buy all new dress clothes.

Woah. You're getting married?!

I remember when you talking about first dates lol.

Time flies.

Same woman?

I can't even speak in complete sentences after a stronglifts session these days. Cardio? Nah, bruh. (<- a complete sentence I'm proud of right now)

I'm drinking a glass of jamo right now. Not a shot. A glass. Buying and selling houses SUCKS
Ugh, yeah that's not fun. I'm pretty sure that if you keep drinking it'll get better.
Yeah. Well I'm at a 2 hour long back to school night! Shoot me now...
Yassssss! I'm familiar with the nightmarish school events. The screams, the chaos... I hope you make it out alive.

Yeah at some point I am going to have to buy a whole new wardrobe, but I feel like I still
have maybe an inch to lose off my waist, so its hard to know when to start buying new stuff, without having the same problem a month later.

Yep. I waited 16 years for this girl and never settled, got beyond anything i could have expected. Fitgaf had a huge part in all of it, getting me in shape and so motivational to keep pushing on.

I'm in the same boat. You could set a target physique. I plan to weigh between 160 and 170 for life, once I actually cross the 170 threshold, and hopefully that will minimize the need to do all new wardrobes.

For years I've been adding and losing 20-25 pounds and it's just too much.

I just bought a whole new wardrobe mid way through my cutting phase. It'll hang a little when fully cut, and maybe be a bit tight fully bulked, but I think I'll be OK.

Was good. If I'm honest I don't think it was somewhere I'd put on my regular visit list (Szu aside of course), but I'm glad I've been there now.

Loads of great food and drink if nothing else. :D

Week two of Texas method ends on a high:

Squats - 250 lbs x 5
Press - 115x5
Deadlifts - 270x5

The only thing that got those presses up was belief. Best part? I weighed in at 170lbs, down 30 on the year.

It's unlike anywhere else I've ever been but I definitely respect that. Which was your favorite restaurant?

Churrascaria Plataforma for "keep that awesome meat coming... just slice it directly into my mouth".

(I'd definitely recommend that last one for the bros who are bulking)

Great choices dude. Plataforma was our go to spot for "oh shit, we need 4000+ calories immediately" (I lived 2 blocks from there)

I have a hard time going too crazy at churrascaria because so much protein doesn't sit well in the stomach. We went to Fogo De Chao for my girlfriend's sister's birthday (and before that, for our half anniversary last year) and it's so hard to say no to the meat even when you wanna lay down and cry. More than once I'd have my "Yes I want more/No more" card flipped to No but the person next to me had theirs flipped to Yes so I'd get offered meat anyway and of course I'd take it. Everything is so fucking good!
