What's the latest from the Keys? Looks like the eye just passed?
That's kind of bad. Well it's all bad at this point. But it increases storm surge potential on the FL Gulf coast. And could cause slower weakening. So it's going West again? Nice.
Uhhhh...that's from last night.
WPLG Channel 10 has a reporter live on Brickell Avenue - water is knee-deep at least
Live on CNN: bikers riding down the street in Miami Beach xD
Haven't heard from friends or family in Key West since 8:00 a.m. Cell towers might have gone down. Lower Keys around Cudjoe and Big Pine Keys got the worst of it with storm surge around 10 feet. Marathon was flooded but not quite as bad. No idea about Key West at this point. Last official stat I heard was 2-foot surge for them. I saw some structural damage in videos that were posted before communications went dark, most places seemed to be holding up.
TGH ended up moving some patients. Wouldn't be surprised if they moved them all and shut the place down. Not in a great spot. Hoping those that stayed there make it through OK.
Do they have a live stream going?
On top of the weather, video compression can't deal with things like rain, so the video quality's gone to shit.I can't see shit on Jeff's stream but he sure does make it sound exciting.
Thanks! Yeah they were on Marathon.
Hopefully we can get communication going..
Why doesn't this site have fucking volume control?Jeff's stream showing he's really starting to get knocked around, trees coming down around him as he drives. Driving through 110mph winds. Crazy.
It's not too bad yet but if she's west of Little Road, she needs to get out of there.
How accurate are the forecasts for wind etc during an event like this?
Just been searching random locations but I'm guessing accuracy might be low until the storm actually arrives.
Picture from outside Marathon High School:
I just found out my cousin left Fort Lauderdale to come to Tallahassee. I don't know if that was a good move.
Had my sister come to Tallahassee from Orlando.
I think maybe the reverse would have been better.
Really didn't like the last update from my sister in Bonita.
Water in backyard is ankle deep
Wish we would have left, scared right now
We are going to lose everything
Pray for us

Really? Latest forecast shifted east significantly and my impression was that we'll likely get cat 2 or 3 winds.Yeah, we might be getting this direct here in Tally.
Neighbors have boarded up completely.
