He also said Hammerfists should be legal in Boxing, ref was biased against conor (even though he didn't call out hammerfists), Judges were paid/ corrupt, questioned the idea that sports should be watched without listening to biased commentating, He said Floyd was desperate, Conor was the best opponent Floyd has ever had, Floyd was saved by ref, doesn't acknowledge floyd let conor be aggressive to gas him out, floyd won but really lost to conor.
This is a long list of excuses in my opinion by one side.
lol are you kidding me? Let's unpack this
1) No, hammerfists shouldn't be legal. There are reasons why you aren't supposed to punch people in the back of the head in boxing.
2) Ref bias - He let clinches last way longer then Floyd's previous 10-15 fights. Normally clinches get broken up immediately in Floyd fights, but this ref allowed Conor to score a few points while tied up, and didn't step in when Conor was frequently grabbing Floyd's waist to spoon him and get some shots from behind. Likewise, the ref didn't dock Conor points (which he should have) for the repeated hammerfists.
3) Judges - Firstly, it was TKO so it doesn't fucking matter lol. Second, Floyd gave up the first three rounds (on purpose) and won every single one after that. That is generally what the score cards showed.
4) Commentators - They were literally calling Floyd old, rusty, saying he was acting out of character, giving Conor praise, etc. There wasn't a Floyd bias there.
5) Floyd desperate - How desperate is a guy that throws 12 punches in the first 2 rounds, smiles, laughs, never stops walking directly at the opponent, doesn't flinch, barely even tries to avoid punches, and just shows no respect for the other fighter's power/style.
6) Best opponent ever - No, not even close. Floyd had a plan, executed it, and it went exactly as expected. I have never seen Floyd attempt so few punches in the first rounds. This speaks volumes about how confident he was that he didn't even need to try early on. lol desperate...
