Any reason for not wanting Fabregas back? I agree with you but want to know why you would prefer Ramsey to Fabregas whether it's footballing reasons or other reasons.

On current form Ramsey is the better player.

Can't ever see Ramsey asking to go back home.

No interest in taking fabregas back either. He wanted to leave and we let him. I laugh when I see him complaining about being on the bench. What did he expect?

Fabregas won't be coming back anyway. No room in this mid for him and Xavi is almost done.

Ramsey is scoring the goals but he can't control matches in the same way Fabregas can. Despite our good form this season, we've almost never dominated possession and created chance after chance as we did when we played that 4-5-1-ish formation with Fabregas. Part of that is deliberate (sacrifice possession for a much more solid defensive shape), part of that is probably better opposition (everyone else in the league is better, less gap between top and bottom of table), but I still think Fabregas is one of the best midfielders in the world.

if it's a choice between Ramsey and Fabregas—long term, keep Ramsey, just because he's younger, he's playing incredibly well and who knows where the ceiling is for him. But if it's a question of who's the better player, even right now I think Fabregas is better.

Llorente since 30/10: in 6 almost full games, 4 goals and 3 assists (including one penalty gained). All 4 goals influenced the score.

Do I have to buy his shirt now?

please write down the names of the following four players. Berardi. Jorginho. Nainggolan. Cuadrado.
We already own Berardi and Nainggolan is definitely coming. So 2 out of 4!

I know Fabregas won't come back, he will retire at Barcelona. Fabregas is the better attacking player, Ramsey is the better defensive player and overall I think Ramsey is better for Arsenal because we have Ozil already and Ramsey's workrate is absolutely phenomenal. People rave on about his goals but his general play is exceptional as well.

I don't laugh at him though. Love the player, my favorite player, and a legend in my eyes. He carried a very average Arsenal team after Henry left and I still believe we wouldn't be in the position we are in now had not been for his contribution during those hard years.

Offensively Fabregas is MUCH MUCH better. Fabregas can score but his passing is just the absolute best but we also need to remember that Arsenal pressed high up the pitch when Fabregas played so we scored more goals sure, but we conceded a shit ton too.

Defensively no doubt for me Ramsey is better. With Ozil in our team Ramsey is the more crucial player.

Probably, but Fabregas hasn't really shown the consistency since moving to Barca. Lots of reasons for that.

I prefer the way we are set up now compared to when we had Fabregas and RVP. We are scoring beautiful goals and we aren't conceding ugly goals.

I also think RVP was hugely influential in our ability to retain possession. Giroud loses the ball 9 times out of 10.

Long term it isn't even a question. Ramsey is younger, injury free, playing well, huge potential and wont ask to go back to Cardiff.

I can't think of any former Arsenal players I would want back. Didn't want Flamini, except for the fact that he covered a position we were in desperate need of.

Agree with the first paragraph.

I loved Fabregas when he was at Arsenal. Great player. He stuck around for a while and really helped carry the team.

I only laugh because everyone knew what was going to happen.

How does Switzerland always make the WC, their team is usually just decent, but somehow they've made everyone in recent memory and are a top seeded team too.

They are solid defensively and counter attack well.

ONLY TEAM TO BEAT SPAIN IN LAST WC.

Just because Ramsey won't go back to Cardiff doesn't mean he won't go somewhere else. If Barcelona really pursue him I don't think he will say no especially with Bale finding goals in Spain.

Ramsey is different though, isn't he? He's a box-to-box/defensive midfielder, I think?

I'm pretty sure Barca fans would GLADLY give you Cesc for Ramsey though. He's surprisingly unpopular over there.

Depends on where we are, if we're winning consistently, why would he move? See Giggs

Yes, I am sure after Wenger stood by him for 3 years he is just going to run off to Spain so he can sit on the bench like his former teammates.

And what does Bale scoring goals have anything to do with it? Bale scored goals in England.

Its not worth even discussing. Arsenal aren't in the same position we were in previously when we were selling our best players and not spending.

Arsenal will be offering Ramsey an extension and pay raise within the next season or two.

And lol if you think the Barca interest is real.

Fellow countrymen? Ramsey left Cardiff to come to Arsenal to further his career if he thinks he can go a step further again at Barcelona he will go. Ramsey owes Arsenal fans nothing as Arsenal fans forget we treated him like shit for the past 18mths. Wenger was the only one who stood by him, Arsenal fans certainly didn't. We fucking booed him at our own stadium.

And Bale's success has a lot to do with it. It shows Aaron that if Bale can do it he can do it too. And I don't have the faith in Arsenal in saying no to big money that you seem too. You shouldn't read too much into Wenger's comments, Wenger lies.

If Barca offered a straight swap, Fabregas for Ramsey, who would take it? I wouldn't.
Before Ozil's arrival in a heartbeat. Now? No. Fab and Ozil would both look for that killer pass and forget to defend. Having Ozil doing that is enough don't need Cesc doing that as well.

Don't worry guys, Barca won't go for Ramsey simply because he's Welsh.

and you sorta reverse-fucked them with Song and Cesc.

They are all going to PSG. Why would they want to play for Rube that will now become dust now that Pirlo is out?

Where did i say countrymen? Teammates mate. Fabregas and Song.

If Ramsey thinks moving to Barca is going to further his career then i'll help him pack.

How does Bale doing it show Ramsey anything? Because they are both Welsh? I honestly have no clue what you are talking about.

British players generally don't leave the PL. Some do obviously, but a very small percentage, but Ramsey seeing Bale could tempt him and highlight to him that success can be found in Spain too. After the RVP fallout I don't think Arsenal will be selling to a pl rival anytime soon.

He is more likely to look at how Fabregas and Song are wasting their prime years on the bench.

This is a dumb conversation.

We are top of the league and you are speculating which players we might be selling.

Are you kidding me? You don't know our history mate. We sold Barcelona Overmars and Petit in the same fucking window. We were not under stadium debt to do it either, still done it. We have a long reputation for selling best players to Barcelona. It's something we've done for quite some time and we we're winning trophies when we done that I might add.

Don't watch much Barcelona games? Fabregas starts most games. I think last season he started the most games I read. Usually plays out of position though.

Enjoy Ramsey's final season.

And sits for the most important CL games.

Everyone lies.

At least Woodward and Moyes are running out of excuses. Business must be done.

Against Newcastle, I'd run with

--------------------deGea
Raf-------Evans----------Rio-------Evra
--------------Jones-----Clev
-------------------Kagawa
Januzaj----------Chicha------------Zaha/Nani

Valencia sickens me. How the fuck might he expect anyone to time a run when he waits, waits.....waits...............waits and then merely smacks the ball as hard as he can - more often than not into the nearest defender.

At least Shinji, Adnan, Chicha, and Nani will shoot. Fellaini is not, currently, a significant defensive upgrade on Cleverley. Which is a fucking amazing thing to contemplate, but there it is.

How could Leverkusen lose to THAT Manchester team ?

I guess it was all part of a plan to make Moyes and the Bundesliga look bad.

Just watched MoTD from last night.

Hazard was incredible, really seems to be hitting his potential now. Was unlucky to be overshadowed by an otherworldly performance by Suarez.

Also Allen was very good last night, as was Sterling.

5th yellow.

I dunno if he hit Jagielka or stood on his boot or what.

Shouted "PHIL PHIL" afterwards, as if to say "come off it you faker twat" to Jagielka, or to the bench, telling Nev to fucking do something.

Suarez's third was about as good a goal as I've seen.

Even his reaction after in the celebration, he looked dumbfounded at what he'd just done.

Why does he go into god mode when we play Norwich?

I think that's what the whole of Norwich's squad would like to know, even in the post match presser, Hughton was resigned to the fact that Norwich didn't do much wrong. I'd agree with that.

Hopefully we put in the same level of performace against West Ham.

I think Allen did enough last night to earn a recall on Saturday. I'd be tempted to drop Hendo to the bench and play Allen and Lucas holding, with Gerrard further forward.

I'd drop Agger for Sakho on Saturday too. Much rather have two physical defenders than one with one who brings the ball out against a Big Sam team.

I genuinely see no use in having Moses and Cissokho anymore, I'd much rather gove Flanagan and Sterling/Ibe the minutes. I could easily see another Sahin situation with both of them.

They didn't do much wrong, but there was one defensive mistake which led to the second goal, but how the hell do you defend the first, third or fourth? Even the lob for the first, the keeper wasn't that far off his line. It was just a perfectly-measured hit. The third goal, the defender was trying to show him onto his weaker foot and he just flicked it over and half-volleyed it, like some kind of beach soccer move. Unbelievable. And Gerrard's hit that bounced off the woodwork too - where the hell did that come from?

He's a phenomenon, Suarez. Genuinely one of the most entertaining footballers I've ever seen. Only Ronaldinho brings the same type of wtfery. That 40m on offer last summer was probably just about enough, if you're interested in buying one of his two front teeth :lol

Edit: Finally catching up on MOTD.

Eden Hazard is a brilliant footballer. Can see why City, United and Chelsea all were chasing his signature. Really it was obvious before when he was at Lille of course, but you always wonder how well a player will adapt to a new country.

Such a shame that final chance didn't come off for Sunderland (Johnson/Ki). And that OG :(

Edit 2: And another horrendous Torres miss. What the shit

Someone (support_believe) mentioned on Twitter last night that Agger would be gone in January. Wouldn't be too surprised if that's true. Has been costing us quite a few goals lately on set pieces/missed headers.

If we get good money then I wouldn't be too devastated. I think Sakho-Skrtel is the way forward personally, and we probably need one of our CB's to go if Kelly, Wisdom or Ilori are ever going to succeed here.

IF (big if) we can get Montoya in January, then our back 4 could be sorted for 2 or 3 years.
