FFX HD

DONE.

Get Infamous, blast through it, trade in for FFX HD.

Ignore MGS Zero Hours

I like your thinking.

Never played FFX, but the HD games are just too expensive for me. It's like $80 for the pair of them on Vita in Japan, and I prefer playing RPGs in Japanese. They just feel "off" to me when they've been translated. I'd like to pick them up eventually, will probably be able to find them used for a good price soon enough.

I.. I don't even know how that's possible.

Ledley King isn't even there anymore.

Vertonghen - suspended
Dawson - hamstring from Chelsea game
Chiriches - back injury for the last 6 weeks
Kaboul - playing consecutive games for the first time in 2 years
Capoue - ankle injury

But then again I don't really understand any of your argument, it looks like you're just making things up to support the hate bandwagon.

Yeah, downplaing many mistakes done by Kojima and being an apologist by saying MGS plot is cheesy doesnt change the fact that the games were severly flawd in many regards. Your comparisions to bands, movie directos are pretty off, because my immersion is much much bigger with videogames than plugging some ear speakers in to listen to 30 minutes of music or sitting on the couch for 90 minutes watching some weird foot fetish and ridiculous dialogue.

Dont make the mistake and label lack of talent as "artistic decision". Art is something way different than writing a bullshit story that doesnt make any sense and lacks actual writing skill. Of course its his story and his cahracters but you cant objectively deny that Tolkines, Rowlings, Romeros, etc. characters are handled way better in their narrative and skill and the way they treat them and the world they interact with, is superior in every regard. This is videogames and no "art".

And the linearity is the consequence of Kojimas idea of games. Run from point A to B, with the illusion of a big map, to trigger a cutscene. The mechanics are good but get repetitive and are basically the same as Splinter Cell. Even the marking has made it into the game. The demo lacks many features from the final game and is sold for a ridiculous price. I dont hate to support the bandwagon, I hate because of the games release policy, repetitive gameplay, play time and lost "soul" after the story went from hilariously bad to absurd.

Chelsea have the best defence and in general there is usually a stronger correlation between fewest goals conceeded and position in the table then there is between goals scored and position in the table.
Not sure where you are getting your stats from but it might also be because clear chances is a bit of a subjective statistic. In terms of the number of shots Chelsea are up there with City and Liverpool (according to whoscored).

It was mentioned in this article in passing.

I totally understand how Chelsea got there, it's just a bit odd that Chelsea have created/scored so little. In the last decade, 2008/2009-2004/2005 being the exceptions, the winner of the league were the team that scored the most goals. I can't sift through all of the data determining which correlation is historically stronger on my phone, but that bit I found interesting. Paul Tomkins has a few articles on the matter iirc.

Consumer entitlement has reached new lows.

If you don't like the direction a series is going in, move on. There are plenty of alternatives in different mediums for you to engage in instead. It's true that no matter the amount of creative spirit and/or research put into some works they just may not be up your alley.

Why bother buying it then? Move on.

Some people love being bronies. That's on them, no one forced it on you.

So who will play CB for Spurs then? Sandro and an u21 player perhaps?

Sandro and Fryers I guess, although there was some talk in the Romanian that Chiriches declared himself ready to play if needed. We're toast whatever happens, even if Kaboul played he was at fault for two of their goals on set plays in the first leg and is clearly not ready to play as much as he has been.

fak u, I will keep bitching and hating on Konami for what they did to Silent Hill. Although it's not really the same thing as with Kojima, as Konami actually just abolished the whole team and then outsourced it to completely clueless people who clearly knows less about the games than the fanbase.

There's room for criticism with MGS too though, dismissing it just because "that's the way Kojima wants it" is silly.

If Moyes is sacked that's just further proof that football is dead and buried as a sport with integrity and it's all about cheap thrills and instant gratification.

United should extend his contract and increase his pay to as a sign of faith.

I'm torn between just wanting United out of the CL to remove any possibility of them winning it and qualifying next year, and wanting them to qualify and meet Madrid or Bayern in the next round.

It's not like United would win over any of the remaining teams in the next round anyway, let alone win the whole thing. Hope Olympiakos wins today, but United turning it around would be no disaster, would only lead to much more hilarity and amazing gifs.

I think united will score two and make it to penalties. But big clubs almost always lose to smaller ones in penalties. Dat weight of expectation.

Surely Chiriches won't be risked? The tie looks beyond you to be honest, and there's still a small hope that you can get 4th.

I don't know why they're particularly hated so much, I just know that they are. Still, cleff said all reviews agree it plays well and I was merely offering up the only review I've read of the game considering it was posted on this page

Mostly cause they are a bunch of incompetent clowns, with the worst example being Gies (the Elsk of gaming press) the corporate knight that we just needed more of in the gaming press. Not that I trust any reviewers really about game reviews, as I often like weird shit and just judge it on quicklooks instead, but Polygon is the last place I would look for recommendations on anything.

Is that really worse than getting humiliated by Liverpool like that? Is that really decisive when United has been shit throughout this season? Either stay with him until the end or fire him already.
As long as we're still in the CL there's still the slightest possibility that we can qualify for Europe. But get eliminated by the weakest team on paper and he's fucked.

We fired Klinsmann after we got thrashed by Barca in the first leg and we were in a better position in the league. Although to be fair, we had to fire him. He made Udo Lattek cry.
United set out with the purpose of giving Moyes time. That's why he wasn't sacked when we lost nearly every game in January. But I don't think anyone on the board ever expected things to be this bad. We've gotten worse since then. The players aren't listening to him and the fans are turning.

If it's legitimate to praise a direction it should be legitimate to criticize it.

There's a difference between criticizing something and lambasting it from every angle for all it's worth. Reading Jack's post(s), he comes off as a man that hates Kojima as a creative and the series' direction. Why does he suffer through them? For every aspect he complained about, someone loved the game for that very reason. Why expect Kojima to tailor the game to his whims at the expense of others?

Kojima and Metal Gear are flawed. I agree with that. I enjoy them nonetheless for the spirit they embody and the uniqueness in what they bring.

I'm all for discussions about a game, positive and negative, but my initial post was about the sense of entitlement. Because you paid a few hundred dollars for his life's work, you expect to be able to dictate what you want in return.

I haven't played the latter installments of Final Fantasy XIII. I do hope to in the future, but I just didn't like the direction the games were going in. I played every installment prior. It's that simple.

Apparently his contract has break clauses around not qualifying for the CL and not making it to the QF so I expect the stories about the next 3 games and stuff relate to that.

Some fans on twitter are trying to get tickets near the chosen one banner so they can take it down by force. Hahahahaha.

When asked whether he would be open to stay at the Riverside after this season, Danny Graham told the BBC: “Yes, I would.
“It’s a fantastic club who gave me a chance in football, but I still think I’ve got unfinished business at Sunderland.
“There’s a new manager there now and I want to go back there in the summer and see where I stand.

“Until then I don’t know what’s going to happen, so I’ve got to get my head down, work hard in the off season and see what comes of it.”

According to this table each team has scored much more goals then they have created clear cut chances. That suggests to me the table is just wrong.
According to proper stats Chelsea are still the third highest goal scorers in the league and the second highest for shots per game so it's not really odd at all that they are currently top especially with the best defence. I think the really odd thing this season has been Liverpool and Man City smashing almost everyone they beat by 3+ goals but yet neither are running away with the league.

Who are/were your favorite reviewers? I can think of 1UP in it's prime. IGN were another likable bunch.

I haven't spent enough time with the giantbomb to properly assess them.

:lol

The friend I mentioned earlier:

He said he liked the game, it's a nice build up to the PP. His only regret was the price as the game finished before he knew it.

He says you should get it if you don't mind the price, but to wait for a discount closer to the release of the game if you do.
I missed this earlier; thanks for the impressions. Think I'll wait a while before i get this. Probably when there's a price drop. Will get FF HD instead

Marlon King has plead guilty to dangerous driving. Hopefully another prison sentence awaits. Here's a roundup of his previous escapades:

While on loan to Hull City, King was alleged to have headbutted teammate Dean Windass in a casino in Scarborough. Hull City stated that the matter had been dealt with internally, and both players remained with the club. Windass later described the incident as a "storm in a teacup".

King has convictions for 14 offences, dating from 1997.He received fines, driving bans, community service sentences, a rehabilitation order and orders to pay compensation on convictions including: theft from a person and from a car, criminal damage, and attempting to obtain property by deception; fraudulent use of vehicle licence document, driving without insurance, speeding, drink driving; a wounding incident while playing amateur football, and two cases involving assault of young women rejecting his advances in the Soho area of London.

Two cases led to imprisonment. In May 2002 he received an eighteen-month prison sentence for receiving stolen goods, in relation to a BMW convertible that he was found driving, but was found not guilty of a charge of assaulting a police officer in a related case.

In December 2008, again in the Soho area, King was arrested on suspicion of punching a 20 year-old female university student in the face, causing a broken nose and split lip for which she was treated in hospital. He was later convicted of sexual assault and assault occasioning actual bodily harm, and sentenced to 18 months in prison and placed on the Sex Offender Register for seven years.

King was arrested and bailed once more in April 2013 after a car crash which left one man seriously injured, and in July of the same year, he was again arrested in connection with a hit-and-run incident which had left a second man injured.

Don't like giantbomb as reviewers much, cause I more often than not disagree with them. But they do quality video content which is usually enough for me to judge the game myself... and then I do love their bombcast.

But as I said earlier I don't actually like that many reviewers RPS seems good most of the time but that's the only reviews I really read, and that's mostly because they often review stuff GB doesn't touch.

Eh fair enough. Also did the same with Final Fantasy, for fucks sake SE, cunts.
