Players that are in the process of being sold to an other club usually don't play anymore for that team.
Oh right he is playing for Arsenal. My bad I took it as Holland Nat Team.

Well yeah I guess but not surprised. Seems RVP only wants to move to United and Arsenal don't want to sell. If anything it's a good bargaining move and says "we're playing him, up your bid" or whatever. Nasri played for Arsenal a few times too last season before he left.

Chelsea won't challenge over the course of the season. It's you versus United again, with a stronger push from Arsenal.

I'm not sure they were actually in the news back then, no rumors etc. (especially Meireles)

Well we knew all summer that Meireles was due a new contract, and he didn't get it. He still played even when linked with Chelsea, which he was for most of the summer. N'Gog was meant to go to Sunderland in the Henderson deal. And Aquilani is Aquilani.

Don't understand why Barca need him really. Does he really want to be sat chilling on the bench all season?

I would agree accept for the fact that people said Mascherano and Fabregas to a lesser extent would both warm the bench and especially in Masch's case he has been a key part of the defence for the past 2 years. More so than Puyol sadly.

Fair point, but he would still only be acting as Biscuits cover wouldn't he? Nowhere else for him that team.

Also, Woy's "experimental" England squad comes out in half an hour. Should be interesting...

Thats why I am not sure about him. We needed a LB and we go Alba (Plus Abidal says he is coming back near November) we also need a CB. But apparently Tito wants cover for Sergio and that Fontas can be the CB. I don't think Fontas is ready, plus he is just coming off a big injury.

Also Tito, don't play Tello in the Clasico. Please.

WHAT A GLORIOUS DAY.

Actually I hope we get Anzhi in the draw. The Russians need to be embarrassed by Shola Ameobi.

Work needs to hurry up so I can enjoy this sunshine with 30 beers or so.

I think I'll pop over an see Brian later. I think I can convince him if he backs Mancini he will deliver just like last season

Marotta: "Absolute confidence in Conte. Him & Alessio are innocent. Conte resigning? News completely unfounded."

Okay, Marotta, we still need a striker.

Giulia Bongiorno is a lawyer who doesn't accept a case unless she's convinced of winning

Conte's temporary ban will be the only highlight of many Serie A teams this season.

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
Liverpool vs Hearts

That's funny, Spurs drew them last year. We tonked them 5-0 at their place.

Watching the highlights of Spurs-Valencia...Jenas was just abominable, truly horrendous. Watching the first goal back again and the twat doesn't even attempt a challenge, by the time he arrives on the scene the ball is heading for the top corner.

I don't think Tello will make it at Barca tbh.

And the RVP thing isn't that surprising. Nasri played a few pre season games for Arsenal while his agents were negotiating with City.

For a Finer World
It's Atromitos Athens, right? Kind of similar to NUFC actually - were relegated a few years ago but bounced back and were fourth in the Greek league last season. Interesting matchup but I'd count on Magpies in this.

He was one of our most used players last season. He deserves a go, like Henderson and Cleverley he is neat and tidy and a decent prospect. He's been dogshit in pre-season but that's because he's been tasked with doing a defensive job next to the lump of faeces that is Jenas.

Nasri played a league game for Arsenal before he fucked off.

Livermore :lol :lol

Anyway, an experimental team that might be interesting would be:

Butland

Walker - Cahill - Caulker - Bertand

Oxlade-Chamberlain - Carrick - Cleverley - Young

Walcott - Defoe
