Reports #mufc have accepted a bid from Fiorentina for Berbatov & that it's now up to the player. No official confirmation from club as yet.

Godspeed.

Oh snap. That'll free up some of the salary limit.

Let's go get Dembele!!! Lol

Arsenal have made an inquiry for Edin Dzeko from MCFC.

Yes please.

Despite the lack of goals from Arsenal thus far and the loss if RVP, I don't think they really need another striker. They already have Giroud & Podolski, 2 good strikers who would both expect to start a lot of the time. With Wenger stubbornly sticking to 1 up front, I don't think a 3rd option who would want to start regularly is needed, Giroud & Podolski are enough, back-up options can be provided by Bendtner, Chamakh or PCY in the end, no reason to splash out big on someone who will rarely feature. Seems to me that getting a more consistent winger would supply the chances that the 2 strikers need to get the goals flowing. For all that Walcott, Ox, Gervinho, Rosicky, Arshavin can have moments of brilliance, they are far too inconsistent to be relied upon, leaving everything on Cazorla.

Oh my, the russian twitter world is ablaze. CSKA Moscow president just tweeted that Hulk to Zenit is done.

I wouldn't be shocked to find out he's trolling. It's CSKA after all.

If true, then good. I wanted Hulk for Chelsea but after signing Moses, getting him would be a waste and I would have felt that it wouldn't be fair to Moses.

Damn, the transfer muppetry has finally gotten to me. Fuck it, I'm just gonna go to bed and assume we got both Hulk and Nani. Waking up to disappointment will be glorious.

Someone like Alfellay would be brilliant and suit our style of play perfectly.

Don't get too excited. I can't see Zenit getting both of them. How rich are Zenit anyway? From the numbers being bandied about, they seem to be one of the richest clubs in the world.

I wish these rich Russians/Arabs would buy Newcastle. We have a 52000 capacity stadium in one of the top leagues in the world. Buy us dammit! :(

Zenit is owned by Gazprom, Russia's largest company and the world's biggest natural gas company. It's only recently though that they apparently decided pumping money into the team though. Maybe crazy Anzhi scared them into action. I still remember the good old days when our only transfers were youngsters and outcasts from the big Moscow clubs.

Athletic Bilbao's Urrutia wants Bayern and Juve to pay the full release clause.

Fuck you Marotta, this isn't FM, this is what happens when you wait till the last few days.

I'm not even mad at Bilbao, it's fair.

In other news, Bojan is a Milan player.

Have you guys signed any players this window?

I feel Arsenal really need a class striker to replace RVP. Girioud seems alright and Podolski is good but they still arent filling the void. If Wenger changes formation to to 2 strikers up front, then really 3 strikers is a minimum. After Podolski and Giroud who else have we got if one gets injured?

Bendtner is on his way out, and we are better off playing with 10 men than with Park and Chamakh,

Dzeko is quality when he gets game, remember him at the beginning of last season and could get us plenty of goals.

He'd be too expensive.

Well if Juve bring in another striker, I can see them try to offload Dzeko. Juve bid £15m apparently. If Man City are looking to sell then I reckon £20m will be enough.

EDIT: BREAKING: Robin Van Persie just released a book about his stay in Arsenal; it has no title..! :lol

Why haven't you bought Arshavin yet? :(

That's far too much considering the other squad weaknesses we have.

Any truth to the rumours that United want to offload Rooney?

Sounds like a load of rubbish to me.

Sean Custis is quite well informed on both Manchester clubs.

When Rooney handed his transfer request in he was damn close to actually leaving as Custis called it right that time IIRC.

Neil.

It's bollocks. Player gets benched and in the babyish world the Sun inhabits and dispenses for its fuckbrained readership, he's "axed" and "Ferguson's patience has run out" and "Man City are on red alert".

And they know Rooney can't turn out in a United shirt anytime soon, so they can rumble it on a bit longer than usual.

I don't want to sound like an ass, but... how is Llorente going to fit in Juventus style of football? He's like a Gomez (but with decent football skills). I think Dzeko would fit much better in Juve's system.

How many goals did Gomez score for Bayern last season? How many Matri? Yeah ... 'But with decent football skills' may be the key here. With our playing style, which relies quite heavily on midfielders running up to the penalty box, one solution is to have a heavy beacon up front. Someone who's able to stop & protect the ball with his back to the goal, and bounce it back to the passer that's making the incursion. From what you people told me, Llorente is capable of performing such tasks, amongst other things. Like, you know, scoring both with his feet and his head.

Matri can't dialogue with our midfielders for shit and he always needs two or three small touches before he makes peace with the ball at his feet. It's so frustrating, because otherwise he's a really solid striker. He shines when he can be served with a through-ball, on the run. Unfortunately, in Serie A at least, where most provincial teams park the bus as soon as they hear the letter J being procounced, that rarely happens.

I think Llorente would be a nice upgrade for us.

They can reject it? It's his release clause ffs!

As far as I know, he doesn't actually have a release clause, it's more of a gentlemen's agreement with the club. They agreed that if a club comes knocking with 30M€, he's free to go. Apparently not.

There's a Shaun/Sean and Neil Custis I think?

I have got my Custis's mixed up lol?

Only the amazing Asamoah (already became a starting XI player) and Isla (he's still recovering from last season's knee injury, should be back in a couple of weeks, fantastic player), Atomic Ant Giovinco, Pogba and Lucio (hey, as a backup he's not too shabby). With a top striker this would be a 9/10 mercato for us.

COME ON MARRY!!!

Lol it's always a merry go round with Rooney.

I remember the day he handed in his transfer request so well. TC76 was gutted there was a chance Rooney could join City.

I remember the City fan at the Etihad with a Rooney 10 shirt on lol.

I remember the MIB's turning up outside his house acting they like they were the Mafia. Pathetic morons.

I remember the grafiti in town. "join city and you are dead".

United fans were shitting it.

That's quite the haul. Pogba on a free transfer right? Hahah.
