Don't expect to see Kyuofu give any other explanation other than "Fuck Suarez"

Too bad. I was defending Suarez on here and on twitter when people called him a cunt for that dive celebration.

You guys are too defensive. All I'm saying is Coloccini isn't the kind of player that would go in with malicious intent. Does that take away the fact that it's a red card for a bad tackle? Of course not.

Why so defensive?

You're saying Coloccini went in looking to hurt Suarez? That's ridiculous.
I'm not saying he intended to hurt him, whether he did or not only Coloccini will know. I'm saying Owen's "no way that's a red" opinion is ridiculous, it's a red every day. If that caught Suarez fully who knows what it could have done considering Suarez's foot was planted, it was just lucky that there wasn't much contact. The challenge is still a horrible one. Nowhere near the ball and very, very late.

Suarez went over as though he had been caught anyway. Just to help the ref out and show the damage that could have been done by Coloccini's wrecklessness.

Norwich?

That might have been the only time.
Scholes put us ahead that day.

Didn't win a single point from behind last season. Didn't win a single game actually, not that I can remember, even in Europe or the Cups.

Coloccini is always the reason we do well defensively. Without him we're rather wank. Taylor's our next best CB but there's not much he can do when partnered with the horrendous Williamson.

No Coloccini or Tiote now for that defensive spine. Ah well, at least they can play in Europe until their bans expire. Help us out there.

You can see the lunge movement at the end, that just confirms it to me, he wanted to deal out a little pain to the prick that was dribbling round him every chance he got.

I had Holt's and Scholes's goals the other way round in my mind, for some reason.

That is a pretty remarkable stat then.

sorry koofu, but there's intent there. Suarez is lucky that he righted his gait and stance, at the moment colon's foot came down on the back of his thigh, or he would have been fucked.

Guys, you fail to realize that Kyoufou was being sarcastic :)

Coloccini wanted to hurt Suarez. For what reason, who knows. Did he get deservedly sent off ?

Vermaelen's drop in class has been shocking. If he wasn't our captain I'd be calling for him to be dropped.

honestly, i don't think he was all that great in his first season either. he did score plenty of goals--but that sugarcoated the quality of his performances.

I always thought Vermaelen was very similar to Agger. Lately, Danny has been much better, but I don't think Vermaelen wasn't always that good.

Man, his performance in that Arsenal 0 x 2 Liverpool was amazing.

I'd like him to be dropped, but really, who do we have that's better? Koscienly has been shocking this season (surprisingly), Djorou is awful, and Squalici is dead in a ditch somewhere. I'd like to see Miquel given a chance at CB.

agreed. But the fact that he scores plenty of goals is part of the problem... he constantly makes runs and is sometimes the furthest man forward, which, for a center defender, is fucking shocking. When Arsenal were built to outscore opponents (and his competition was even more incompetent defenders), that wasn't really an issue but now our midfield is just not functioning so it's a big issue if we can't at least have a competent defense.

Plus, if the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results, then why the hell does Wenger keep sending out the same starting XI that struggles to put a shot on target before the 90th minute, let alone control a game. I think it's seriously time to give Arshavin a chance in the middle and shift Cazorla wide or rest him or something because the current set up clearly isn't working.

edit: and I wish Kos or Jenkinson started at Old trafford. Shift Verm or Sagna on the left, Jenkinson on the right, that would have at least had a bit of pace in the side. Plus, Sagna kept kicking the ball with his left foot—what was up with that? Does no one in this team understand how to cross the ball?

I agree with you, I don't think I Colo as a dirty player or malicious in any way. Looking at the replay it does look pretty nasty but I generally give players the benefit of the doubt. There's no point in making up some drama about players wanting to hurt each other. I think they're too self-concerned these days to be like that (except Koscielny).

Besides everyone knows you can't hurt Suarez. Scouser-God puts his legs back together after every game.

Miquel has looked pretty good from what I've seen but he was extremely exhausted at the Reading game so I don't think he's close to ready to start a match for us. People will call me crazy but I'd go with Koscielny and at least give Vermalaen a fight for his place.

Nah, I agree—Koscielny and Mertseacker is a decent partnership that did pretty well last season too. I know that Wenger probably was very wary of starting him or Jenkinson at Old Trafford because they were in the 8-2 team, but fuck it. That's a stupid reason to drop him. Squillaci should've started the Reading game; it's not like the defense did much defending in that game anyways.

What did people spend their skybet money on?

I bought Ass Creed Revelations and sme Pixar Cars toys for the boy

I am just realising what anyone with a young son does - I'm going to end up spending a shit load of money on Pixar Cars toys

vermaelen's directly responsible for the first goal; he almost causes a second one, but we were lucky valencia missed that; and then--this is almost his worst mistake of the match--he loses out to one of the shortest players on the pitch, evra, who ends up heading in the 2-0.

i hope koscielny improves because at this point i'd rather see him and mertesacker in the centre, wenger should've never bought mertesacker. surely, there must be better defenders out there.

santos... smh.

Mertesacker's been great this season, don't know what you're on about.

Agree about Santos, he's fucking awful. Gibbs to come back soon plz.

The state of our attack worries me more than our defense at the moment. We don't even look like scoring goals anymore, it's frightening.

Mertesacker has been great, he's slow as fuck but he doesn't make many mistakes. What we need is to find another Mertseacker (preferably one who isn't quite as slow...) for a similar decent price.

Vermaelen was single handedly responsible for the defeats against Chelsea and United. He needs to be dropped if only to show that he can be dropped. Won't happen when Djouru and Squillaci are waiting in the wings...

Same. I can't believe I'm saying this but why do we keep sending Bendtner on loan? He would at least offer something different.

We also desperately need a new midfielder because it's becoming increasingly obvious that Diaby is never coming back. Fucking Denilson would be better than nothing.

It's pretty telling that Arsene doesn't even bother mentioning Diaby anymore. 2-3 weeks has turned into the season, hasn't it? And in regards to our defensive side of things I don't even trust Arsene in the transfer market when it comes to defenders so I'd be apprehensive about anything happening on that front.

What I want to happen is someone to replace Diaby brought in, someone with a physical presence in the midfield since I feel it's no coincidence that our poor offensive form started after the Chelsea game where he got injured.

Secondly shift Cazorla to the wing and play Wilshere at no 10 behind the striker.

Thirdly. By an attacking, ball playing striker. Someone like Benzema, Cavani etc... Not a Giroud or Llorente.

We do the above things we will easily finish in top 4

Didn't RVP have to bring in his own specialised physio team to work on him?

I think his injury problems lessened after that. Makes you wonder what the Arsenal medical team are up?
