£75k a week.

They would have increased his wages to get him to stay but that doesn't look likely now.
Di Maria gets 3M in a year.
He's had two good seasons in my opinion. Do you remember how he started at Spurs? look at him now. I think he can take failure and come back from it.

Anyway, if anyone paid £100 million for a player and I was the club owner, I'd personally pack his bags and escort him to the airport.

:lol lol

Viva's right. But I think Bale won't perform to expectations regardless of his confidence taking a knock in Madrid. Just the way it'll be.

Have you seen his daughter?
https://twitter.com/Gracedarcyc super hot.

AFC Camden is saying that Suarez is still on too. Not sure what to make of it all.
I feel the manager has boxed himself into a position where he must sign Luis Suarez to save his job. He must pay whatever Liverpool ask.
Come on Geoff. Arsene is untouchable.

€100m for Bale will be the most stupid shit Madrid will do in his fucking existence. No fucking player, except Messi, deserves so much money and much less Bale.

And holy shit we will be a bunch of idiots if we sell Modric back.

Fuck you Florentino, that's why you get rid of Mou so you can go back to spending obscene amount of money on players!? Get Suarez and stop this fucking madness.

We did.

I remember when it was announced, £80m was huge, I couldn't even get my head around that number. Just as well cos Uncle Malc ran off with it quicktime.
At the time it was a huge deal. Still is a huge deal obv.

But based on the current transfer market we could have easily demanded £100m+ for Ronaldo.

Wasn't there quotes that Suarez is worth 78M? :lol

There's no way Modric is leaving. Di Maria and Khedira maybe, but not Modric. Also Kaka can fuck off. We have done a lot of costly stupid shit but Bale is pretty damn good. Of course 100M is ridiculous but you know Perez etc...

IF he comes to Real and can perform like that.. damn.

Exactly how I feel about it as well, Bale is not worth £100m. It's madness.

You're being stupid.

I just don't know why you wouldn't take 40M+ for a player that has shown the club little respect when the club has stood by him during some serious shit.

And I re-iterate what I said the other night. You're not challenging for top 4. You'll have to break the top 5 first. You won't do that this season with or without Suarez. The 45 (and the wages) could be spent across creating a better overall squad.

Calderon said Madrid have tried hard to sign Bale, because they fear Ronaldo won't sign a new contract after his fallout with Perez.

Ronnie's coming home.

It's really, really simple, which is why you sound silly debating it.

We didn't challenge for fourth last season. We may not challenge for fourth this season. The club aims to challenge for fourth, though. That's our main goal, whether we state it publicly or not. You say 'i don't know why you don't just sell because you're miles away' isn't the sort of perspective one takes when they're running a football club.

It's a really naive argument.

I personally think Newcastle should just sit this season out because they're on a crash course for relegation. Will they do that? No. That's not how football clubs are run.

And there isn't the time nor the health in the market to adequately replace Suarez with whatever cash we recoup. Liverpool can't attract one of the best strikers in the world, either.

How could it? What players could we sign with £45m that would make up the goals and assists we'd lose if Suarez went? Keeping in mind that we have no European football to offer.

And it's ridiculous to suggest that we won't break the top 5. Based on what? If Arsenal don't strengthen, I see no real reason why we couldn't give them a good run for 5th. You also don't know what affect Bale leaving might have on Spurs.

Really do think that Gareth Bale, as good a player he is, is hugely overrated.

Part of me hopes he clears off to Madrid as I don't follow La Liga and would be happy to see the back of him as I'm sick to death listening and reading about how great he is.

On the other hand, I really hate Spurs and don't like the idea of them having £85mil to spend because they really could become dangerous if they strengthen.

Anyway, no way the chimp is worth £85mil.

This is the problem with our club.

And Suarez is deal is dead. I will be astounded if Arsenal do anything in regards to Suarez now. It will all be media bullshit.

this is great news. suarez is a terrible human being and not a real hero.

wenger needs to give the defence and midfield top priority, anyway.

I definitely believe he'll perform well with us and he is a much needed force. Is he a striker? No but with someone like him and Ronaldo on each side who need a striker? Benz will be enough for that + back ups. Di Maria should be sold if we get Bale. Khedira should leave as well. Our midfield is tight as fuck, too many players fighting for the same positions.

Am I the only one who believe Ancelotti may actually bring out the best of Kaka? Sure it won't be anything like how it was at Milan but still with Ancelotti's guidance he may become good enough to be reckoned with. I'd like to keep Kaka for some more time to see how it goes. Of course if he just ends up warming the bench again while collecting that money....

In 5 years, Utd still won't have signed a midfielder.
:lol so good.

If Arsenal fail to sign anyone of note this summer and have another poor season, Arsene Wenger's position will be untenable. I suspect most the fans will want him gone by then

I don't think a football club can own another football club.
Time to put Arsene's economic skills to work on a bigger scale and buy the city #yolo.

An Arsenal fan site did a very good piece on the number of important board members we've lost over the years. It was pretty eye opening. No one can stand up to Arsene now.

wait what

The tax thing is pretty cut and dry, Messi is a cunt

But you have a high proportion of knobends spporting you, and have fans working at a major newspaper who have been known to doctor images in order to paint Madrid in a more positive light, and Barca in a negative one. That's a fact. So it isn't exactly beyond the realms of possibility that the same thing has essentally happened regarding Messi's non/altercation with the stripper, whether its come from a fan, a journalist, some random bellend with photoshop, whoever.

:lol pls tell me you guys remember that Madrid paper doing this:

Mle8T5Q.jpg

They actually photoshopped a player out of the game to show that Alves was offside..

The papers owner apologised, but he didn't even admit that they did it. Said it was "a computer graphics error". Pretty amazing that the error removes the one player who was keeping Alves onside.

Was Messi with that stripper? I don't know, I don't care, we have Neygod now. But there is certainly a possibility it was shopped.

So who's gonna stay up (or wake up) and watch Juve - Everton at 5am CET with me? Any Juve-bros?

3pm here :D

I'll watch for Deulofeu magic.

Just an hunch.

Levy and AVB really made that guy as comfortable as possible, the fans loved him as well.

In Madrid, there will be none of this, and I feel one knock to his confidence and his form will dip IMO.

Bale was on a 20 game losing streak at one point with the Tottenham, fans legitimately didn't want him to play because he was considered a jynx of some kind, that and the fact he was absolutely awful.

If he can drag himself back from that, he can survive anything Madrid can throw at him.
