Yeah, he's important. With him and Sneijder as defending and creative midfielders we're pretty solid in that department. Robben and RVP up front is great too. Also have Huntelaar there if needs be. But RVP will most likely be first choice. It's mostly our defence I'm worried about. But that's why Van Gaal is going with this 5-3-2 system. We have a few top players in key positions, as long as we won't get overrun at the back I think we have a chance to get out of the group at least. And then we'll see what happens. Players usually grow as a tournament progresses, as long they start well and not collapse completely against Spain the first game.

8:30pm, so I think 7:30pm in the UK.
Sad story really. Huntelaar became topscorer in the Bundesliga last season and had a great second half of the season this year. But still got RVP in front of him.
I wish he'd come back to Amsterdam, we could use a striker like him.

On the Netherlands squad; Tbh it's weird van Aanholt isn't in the squad, especially since the new system is tailored for him, though I guess Kongolo can be decent going forward. The games at the WC probably won't be pretty but at least we won't be playing 433 and get demolished.
