To say I'm sad is an understatement. Losing Cesc to Chelsea, despite that not really being what happened, leaves me with a huge sense of frustration. Once more, we have seemed to pass on a world class player, who could have improved us, who has gone on to join a rival. That player being Fabregas makes this doubly cruel.
I say again what I've said every time arsenal transfers have been brought up, It won't happen. I'm far past the point of believing we will get a top striker, and I honestly believe Wenger is not even in the market for that mythical Defensive Midfielder. The team will continue to be ramshackle at the back, especially now Sagna is gone. I want Wenger to prove me wrong, but all the evidence points this way. As we speak he is bidding 15 million for Cavani, when we should be fighting chelsea for Costa.

On Chelsea, for them, winning the league is their minimum requirement next season. Their team certainly has the strongest first XI in the country, with fabregas and costa. Even though I fucking hate them, I admire their ruthlessness when it comes to transfers.

On Fabregas himself, I don't think we should boo him. I feel, and I may well be wrong on this, that given half a chance he would have come back to Arsenal. However, the best response for Arsenal fans to this is probably to stop idolizing him. I know I wasn't the only one who watched Barca just to see him play. We were the ex-girlfriend pining over him, and on occasion stalking a bit, now we just need to get back to fucking ramsey, and forget all about Cesc. It would also be great of we signed Alexis.

Cesc would take Ramsey's and Ozil's minutes. Cesc can't play an Arteta role, nor can any other midfielder we have aside from.Flamini. The only players who play in positions cesc plays is Ozil and Ramsey. Bringing up Cazorla or anyone else is silly because Cesc can't play left wing, he can't play anchor midfield. He would have been a depth signing since Ramsey's development dictates he must play and Ozil is well Ozil. Shift Ozil on the wing or bench him and he leaves simple as that.

I wanted Cesc but logically speaking in terms of needs and playing position it's easy to see why wenger didn't do it. We'll need to see who we eventually get.

He is better than both Ramsey and Ozil. You are fucking delusional. Ozil and Ramsey will both be injured for half of the season. We will be playing fucking Kallstrom and some other no-mark in January.

Motherfucker, If we brought back Kallstrom, all would be forgiven.

Perhaps I'm being naive, but I think most Arsenal fans would recognise that we turned down the chance to sign him and he went to a club that wanted him.

I'm still dead inside though.

And will be numb with he retakes the crown.

Now is the time for the world to stop, and the world cup to begin.

We let him go because we probably have someone big coming in.

here's the thing: Arteta is shit, Wilshere is nowhere near Cesc's quality (even his low Barca standards) and we don't even know if he ever would be. there's a limited quantity of world class players out there, let alone ones that come for 30m. (probably cheaper with a buy back, etc.)

what other world class players are available this summer? and that are wiling to sign for us instead of go to Madrid/Barcelona/etc.? very few, I imagine.

this wouldn't even be as appalling if Wenger planned on filling all of our needs this summer, but he never is and he won't this summer. why the fuck haven't we bought Aurier already? what the hell is going on? I think Vela is great business—but don't tell me we passed on Cesc just so that we could have the financial flexibility to spend a pittance on a good, but certainly not great, player. (also, don't tell me that the whole returning to a club thing doesn't work either because, again: Vela)

so, in short, fuck Wenger. fuck right off.

So many assumptions. Wait till the end of the summer.

Cesc only became as good as he was because Wenger played him. Wilshere and co will get there and it will be harder for them to leave as they are British.

Most Arsenal fans, when they realised we passed on Fabregas, will be livid. Especially when we don't sign anyone of note this summer and we get the customary tanking from Mourinho with Cesc inevitably scoring.

This is an unforgivable decision and cements Wenger's lasting legacy, a true specialist in failure. Truer words have never been spoken.

I don't agree with specialist in failure, but we won't get anyone this summer.

I think I am more angry at Wenger than I am at Cesc.

I won't boo Cesc but any love I had for him is gone.
Calmly speaking we cannot be angry at Wenger until after the transfer window is over. Cesc is a great player but not in the positions we need. If Wenger addresses those then he made the right call.
