Sportbild: After #Ribery's injury, #Bayern are looking for another midfielder. If they find a suitble one, it makes way for #Shaqiri to LFC.

Or.. you know, we could just use Shaqiri.
We could also throw Götze out there.

Guardiola could also be smart and focus on defense.

The office could be be smart and replace Pep prematurely too.

I like all these options.

Nice start to the season for LVG but what a fucking run in we have towards the end. Should hopefully be offset by the lack of Europe but... Christ.

Ilkay news:

He just had a surgery at the back and is expected back in 3 months.

It sounds like this surgery was very risky and pretty much the last chance for him to ever get back in professional football. Siunds like everything went fine, so let's hope this finally fixed him.

So how much do you want for him?

Not much talk about the fixture list, a hard start for Liverpool with a home game against Southampton and then away games to City and then Spurs. If we come out of that with five points I'll be thrilled, just hoping we can have a good start like last season.

Otherwise November isn't very nice (Newcastle A, Chelsea H, Crystal Palace A, Stoke H) and February is awful (Everton A, Spurs H, Southampton A, City H). The Christmas fixtures look quite kind at least so we should do much better there this year compared to last.

Watched Ep 9 of Fargo on Dutch Netflix. Got some strong Breaking Bad vibes from that episode, with regard to Lester's actions.

This must be a league record for a league win by Manchester United. How does Van Gaal do it? First 5 goals against Spain, and now this?

Just seen the fixtures. Good run of games for LVG to start with. We should be winning the first six up until Everton at home, and even that one I think we will be favourites for. First eight games up until Chelsea is a real opportunity to pick up maximum points.

But then I remember the slow starts of Louis

Absolutely delighted with Brighton away. Always hope for a seaside away doo first game of season. Can't wait already.

Also our last home game of the season at home to Leeds. Praying for another 6-0 demolition, hopefully with the added bonus that it'll relegate them or something.

Also hoping for a much better World Cup day today from both a gambling and viewing point of view. Last two days have been abysmal.

Buttner..

"Van Gaal never gave me the chance in the Dutch national team, despite being voted man of the match 14 times at Manchester United."

14 man of the match awards

Should probably not trust the 7-11 security cameras quite so much
So our first game is against West Ham away, should be a great way to start the season. If we beat those slugs on the first day then the memory of last season will be banished immediately.
