JESUS FUCKING CHRIST WHAT A MATCH. Shame Germany didn't win it but the result is a fair reflection on the game. I don't know how my seniors managed because I felt like if I was only 5 years older I would have had a heart attack.
This world cup is brilliant so far. I don't care that we only drew if the match was THAT entertaining.
Congrats to Ghana. I know the draw isn't great for you guys but fuck me you causes us problems today!

Just home from waching the Germany-Ghana game at a pub.
What a game! The second half was amazing, but very bad for my nerves. I am in my 30s, take pity on me, Löw!
Anyway, this was the first bad Lahm game I have seen. It seems he had trouble coping with the heat, is still not 100% and was simply outmuscled. Khedira was no help at all, as he lost the ball far too often and is simply not good enough for a quick passing game. Bringing in Schweinsteiger (far too late) made a huge difference. Basti, how could I ever doubt you!
Still, I think we should keep Lahm in midfield, but have Schweini replace Khedira. Lahm won't have another off-game like that (I hope), and our defence really depends on a controlled midfield.
It was a shame we had to replace Boateng at half-time. It robbed us of the vital option to replace Özil towards the end. While he was quite good in the first half, he really was completely devoid of energy towards the end. That's why he always made the wrong choices. Maybe he should have been replaced instead of Götze (our "man of the match" lol).
Hummels/Mertesacker were not wonderful, but Höwedes was worse. All the dangerous attacks came from his side. Now, Götze is also to blame for that, but Höwedes is simply not good enough in this position. I seriously hope we will try Durm next game. Even Großkreutz might be better.
Müller was THE fighter in our team, and I do think he will one day be our captain.
And Klose was a hero. I don't think he's still fit enough for 90 mins, but what a wonderful option to have on the bench.
