You could go on holiday with that money, buy a great escort or ten bad ones, do skydiving, buy an Oculus Rift v2, buy a good suit and pretend to be someone important, stay for a night in a great hotel and trash it, get 400 $1 bills and run into the middle of a busy street to throw it up in the air. Buy a good webcam and mic and set up a webpage or youtube channel to talk about how great Justin Bieber is, dat steady ad revenue.

I joined GAF to post in just this thread because I was impressed with the OP, I liked the graphics and supporters list. I copied some of it when It was my turn to start the misc official football thread a year ago. That thread has a lot of in fighting between posters not much football knowledge like this thread.

Personal sponsors probably are putting more pressure. I was all swept up in the hype of Suarez being sold etc but honestly, this will pass and calm down and if he plays like he did last year, in 6 months this will all be history. Football is just this sort of game really, rememebr Liverpool sponsors are getting more exposure next year because of the CL thanks to Suarez. The only thing that will stick this time is that no-one will believe he wont do it again, its just in him, wehther its a year from now or two its very likely he will slip up.

The club sponsors would likely just want what gets the club most exposure, bought about by having games on TV. If they consider Suarez a vital component to remaining in the CL and increasing our presence, they'll be able to live with him staying

I cant imagine they'd be pleased with this though, they are associated with LFC and LFCs biggest known player just did that for all the world to see. We all know how quickly sponsors drop someone when they make a mistake, if they arent dropping LFC I would expect re negotiations less favourable to LFC. This may even put off future sponsors etc as well.
I think selling would be a better safe than sorry approach.

If there's a threat of them dropping their deals, they'll inform us to give us a chance to sell him before it happens. They're not gonna keep quiet til September 1st and go 'oh shit, Suarez is still there? ABORT, ABORT'

Strange the amount of goodwill Unites getting for this signing, not since Kagawa have we been so written about as buying a "Gem" of a player. Lets hope that works out a little better than he did. I still hold out hope for Shinji, but after the WC, the seasons he has had, maybe he doesnt have it in him anymore.

So genuine question, say you do sell Suarez, whats the realistic scenario going forward in the window? Lets say you get £85m for him. Obviously you need a striker.
With who you are linked with would you rate your team higher or lower?
We'll never replicate him like for like, but it's possible the team could be more balanced in his absence. If we sold Suarez and brought in Sanchez, and used whatever we had left over for rebuilding the defence, we could be a lot stronger.

I don't think we'll sell him on the cheap. More likely if we don't get a good offer for him then we'll hold out until next summer.

We're not getting Vidal full stop. It'll cost at least £45m, and Juve won't sell him unless they can someone else that they want in, like Sanchez, and I don't know how easily they can pull that off, and then everyone else will want Vidal and he'd have to pick us.
