But that's kind of Kroos own fault. The club might not have given him the respect he deserves but both Gomez and especially Neuer quickly took on that Bayern identify. Which was really surprising in Neuer's case but he worked for it very hard. With Kroos it never felt like he gave everything to the club. Just look at the Chelsea final, Gomez und Neuer took a penalty, Kroos didn't. Klopp would say, die Angst zu verlieren war größer als der Wille zu gewinnen(the fear of losing was bigger than his will to win). And IMHO that somes up Toni Kroos. He granted that he changed a lot under Pep and is slowly becoming a leader, it was just too late to justify his wage demands.

And I think Bayern players earn a max of 6m net.

true. You gave very good examples. By now Neuer is seen as a typical Bayern guy. Just like Oliver Kahn had developed into a symbol for Bayern, despite his roots.

I am just sad because we trained him for a long time and now that he is on the verge of fulfilling his potential, he'll be gone. But if those wage demands are true, I can't really blame Bayern.

German humour

This German side hasn't excited me the whole tournament, I was pretty much only happy for Hummels' goals. They're terribly average, just like all the other teams left to be fair, and I'd rather see Brazil winning it at home or Messi getting his WC trophy. If it's a Holland-Germany final, though, fuck Holland :D

Think I made up my mind.

Let Messi or Brazil win the WC.

Can someone explain what you people mean to take on the Bayern identity

Identify 100% with the club, an unstoppable will to win, a certain arrogance, business man like approach.

Did Özil ever feel like the classic Real player to you?

pls i could hardly tell if he was alive

he only did in those sparks of genius he was prone to having :(

No, that's not WC football. 2002 excited me because it was Kahn and Ballack being fucking amazing and nearly winning us the title alone. 2006 excited me because we played great football for the shit squad we had. 2010 excited me because we actually played nice football. 2014 is just shit.

I don't know where it comes from. But I know that it was my dream that we would win the WC in Germany and I was madly excited for it. Something died in me when Italy kicked us out. Would be very happy for the Brazilian kids if that didn't happen to them.

Sanchez snubbing us just makes me want to batter Arsenal even more.

Need to exploit that mental fragility. Run at Ozil and see if he falls over again. Get Can to go knee on knee.

Don't worry, we're signing debuchy to balance things out. We still also have giroud/sanogo as our striking options dont forget. Signing Sanchez will improve us (if we get him) but it wont transform us. Id rather we sign Vidal/Pogba and get a real striker in.

Yet again we are going for the luxury signing instead of addressing our real problems, just like we did with Ozil last year. Thank god Ramsey stepped up to make everyone else look better than they really are.

Fulham have signed Ross McCormack for £11m.

A 27 year old with no experience of the PL going for those prices is absolutely insane.

But the last paragraph sums up the difference between 06 and now, and why Brazil shouldn't win it. We dreamed about winning the WC but never expected it. The believe that we could do it only started to strengthen the further we went in the tournament.

Brazil on the other hand has been hyped upped since the beginning. Neymar being hailed as GOAT despite winning shit. The acting, the crying, the porn stashes, trying to be "God's team" pointing to the sky everytime a decision goes their way. I just despise all of that. The country is wasting millions on the WC and a title would some how justify everything Brazil did, Blatter /FIFA giving the WC to them etc. In 2006, Germany was jump started by the World Cup. Now every round Brazil get's out of, is another nail in the coffin (for both the sport of football and Brazil).

Brazil getting third place, the fans nonetheless appreciating the achievements of their team, while also looking critically at the politics involved, the state of the country etc., is something I can get behind with. Not that fucking sense of entitlement because they are Brazil, they are hosting it and certainly not because God wants them to win it.

Please Löw, don't screw up the TACTICS.
Germany is better, just let our Nationalspieler PLAY and beat the shit out of this mediocre Brazil team.

Ross McCormack for £11 million.

Putrid.

Proven championship goalscorer.

If they think that will get them into the Premier League then it's probably a good investment. I think this is no worse than paying 12m for Mitrolgogogogo or whatever he was called.

If that is putrid, what the fuck is Shaw?

Eh, I believed we could win this from the start in 2006. It's the German pessimism that is there for every tournament, maybe slightly less now that the team is good.

And I don't think Brazil can/will be happy with a third place. They played poor football and they'll only be happy about it if they win it all.

A sound investment in someone who will be a top LB for the next decade and a bit.

Ross McCormack is Ross McCormack. He will always and irrevocably be Ross McCormack. A byword for middling, non-descript, just-about-good-enough-sort-of and resoundingly Scottish in quality.

Mitroglou may be a bit shite but at least he's won leagues, played CL football and played in the WC finals.

I feel genuinely sorry for anyone who has been led to believe that Ross McCormack will get them into the Premier League.

McCormack was one of the best players in that league last year. Carried Leeds at points. Not that you watched it and I don't think Fulham really mind if you feel sorry for them

The fee is probably a bit much, but to call it putrid and then to state that 30 million for an 18 year old with only one full playign season in the PL is dandy is very odd indeed

And if just playing in the CL and playing in the WC finals automatically makes you inherently better than somebody who is a proven goalscorer in a very tough league then you can believe that if you want

Would take forty seconds to list of a host of shocking players who have been in the CL and every World Cup finals. And won some no mark league

And also this isn't some sign the transfer market is falling down around us

It's because Fulham have money to spend from freeing up wages and the crazy large parachute payments. Not lol lower league club spent some money let's all go crazy

Thanks for the heads up.

Chances are we'll just demolish you again tho.

Dat pace.

Dat mental fragility.

Arsenal actually won a trophy, no?

Mental strength was somewhat lacking from Liverpool last season as they choked up their only chance in winning a title for the next decade :-/

£11m for a Championship club to spend on anyone is crazy.

Fulham are going for the Leeds United approach. If they miss out on promotion they are fucked.

It really isn't anymore

Rewards of getting into the PL are so high these costs are easily justified

Fulham need to flog a few because they have older players on really high wages who just can't cut it

Yurt

il capo silenzioso
Mancini is serious about coaching Italy :/ ffs someone strangle him by one of his scarfs already

Yurt will hate me for saying this, but, that Inter kit is pretty nice.

Yep gorgeous.
You'll both finish outside the top 4. Have a bad day

I hate it. Pin stripes should be more contrasting or slightly more subtle.

I hope you win the league, with Vidal wearing the captain's armband.

He has essentially had one good season in the league which was last season. Just one. In his seasons before that his goal return has been poor with some exceptions to mediocrity (could be because he sometimes plays wing but unsure of that).

He's also 27 and is unlikely to get any better. It's just a completely mental fee for that quality of player.

Shaw was better than Baines or Cole last season.

Although yes, the English player EPL transfer inflation always is in play for these transfers.
