Well it's always a bit silly to talk about the worlds best, different midfielders are good at different things and such, actually rather hate the talk like when we have our daily GOAT talk, but there's many CM's I would rather have than Vidal. Modric, Koke, Franco Mussis and such.

That's exactly the thing though, Vidal is great at everything

Did Pardew really say this? On signing Cabella:

""A lot of work has gone into his signing and I'd like to pay tribute to my staff, in particular Graham (Carr) and myself, Lee (Charnley), Mike (Ashley) and everyone on the board""

He's amazing.

But there are plenty of teams with good youth production and without any B teams though.

Just for the record, here was Spain's World Cup team. Not a single player from Spain who did not play for a club with a B team with the exception of Costa (for obvious reasons).

Casillas: 30 games for Real Madrid C and Castilla
De Gea: 35 games for Atletico B
Reina: 44 games for Barca C and Barca B
Albiol: 35 games for Valencia B
Pique: 0 official games for Barca's youth teams
Carvajal: 68 games for Castilla
Ramos: 26 games for Sevilla B
Alba: 18 games for Valencia B, 35 games on loan for Gimnàstic (third tier)
Azpilicueta: 27 games for Osasuna B
Javi Martinez: 32 games for Osasuna B
Iniesta: 54 games for Barca B
Xavi: 61 games for Barca B
Cesc: 0 official games for Barca's youth teams
Mata: 39 games for Castilla
Xabi Alonso: 39 games for Sociedad B
Busquets: 33 games for Barca C and Barca B
Koke: 66 games for Atletico B
Santi Cazorla: 40 games for Villarreal B
David Silva: 14 games for Valencia B, 35 games on loan for SD Eibar (2nd tier), 34 games on loan for Celta (1st tier)
David Villa: 65 games for Sporting Gijón B
Fernando Torres: Wiki lists 0 games for Atletico B, first team at age 16
Pedro: 125 games for Barca C and Barca B
Diego Costa: 0 games for Spanish youth teams

A loan is always a complete crap shoot. It's not particularly surprising that only a few of their players went out on loan to develop -- Silva's development is probably the most English of them all.

I just learned people buy FUT coins off of other services for little money and here I am buying through the EA store.

For what it's worth, this is illegal and apparently can get you banned. I doubt it happens much though.

Oh, I wasn't refering to Spain teams, I meant there are plenty of national teams that have good youth production and no B team system.

this thread is disgusting

Agreeing with Vidal is the easy bit. Just give him a £200k/week contract and his agent £5m. Done.

Getting him to force his way out/getting Juve to sell - that's the actual negotiating.

been saying that for months. You can talk to Vidal, Pogba, their agents, their wives and pick up their children from school all you want...the issue will forever be with Juve.

even if he comes out and says I want to leave, we probably won't sell him if we don't like your offer. We did that to lesser players, like Sissoko and Tiago.

Forgot to include the Dutch in my B league list above. Just remembered about good ol Jong Ajax (a young American scored 2 goals for Utrecht's reserve team this weekend, woot -- expect to see Rubio Rubin jump to their first team sometime this season). All of the best nations in Europe use the system. This is not a coincidence.

England either has to get with the times or continue to be left behind.

In Europe, there really aren't many. Not in 2014. They're prevalent in South America because these clubs are relatively poor by comparison and have to sell their players abroad because they will lose them for free if they don't. What this means is you see 16-18 year olds playing in the first teams with relative frequency.

After reviewing England's performance at the WC, I have decided renounce my international retirement.

I honestly don't think Khedira to Arsenal is anywhere close to being done. The news came from Sport a Barca based paper and they notorious for trotting Barca's agenda. I'd wait for Cadena SER or Marca to report something before going full muppet or any Arsenal insiders like Geoff or Dean. I want him at Arsenal. Don't think we need a specialist DM if the two midfielders in the pivot are energetic and disciplined. Plus we can play Arteta in the bigger away games with Ramsey and Khedira if needed.

Italy don't. Somehow, they still won the WC in 2006.

And most nations don't let reserve teams rise beyond amateur level or 3rd or 4th divisions. At that kind of quality there is unlikely to be any discernible difference between England's reserve league.

Twitter Adnan is fake. I was duped.

Ginter to Dortmund huh. I wonder what that means.

That means something like last season isn't gonna happen again, where we had to sign someone who wasn't playing for more than 6 months.

Plus, we never got a proper replacement if Hummels is injured.

Subotic and Sokratis are the same playertypes who're not really known for a clever passes.
So, if Hummels is out, we got Ginter who is somewhat similar to Hummels and can read and drive a game with his passes.
And he can also play as CM :)

Wedward do you actually think we'd sign Cavani or are you muppeting?

I think we'd sign him honestly if the price didn't get too crazy. if we could do a deal for like 40-45m pounds, we would imo. Even if it meant we had a loss on the books for this season. Wenger only has 3 years to win the CL, he wants it before he retires.

Wenger made a £30m bid for Cavani in the winter transfer window before he went to PSG.

I've not been impressed with him when I've watched Uruguay/PSG, wing or not.

Seeing how much we've already spent, I would think that's the only way we could do it. There have been rumors today he wants to come to the PL, and I think Arsenal are the only team who actually need him and could afford him. Not to say Chelsea wouldn't just buy him for shits and giggles, or City for that matter.

That obviously isn't true or the English games would be classified as competitive which they aren't. If you do limit them from going above the third or fourth tier, then how is that a bad thing? It affects a handful of clubs but very likely could improve the country's national team. That's a net benefit in most people's eyes.

Italy are the exception to the rule but beyond that, are vastly more successful than England as a nation in terms of football, so it's not exactly a like for like comparison.

Cavani would be a waste of money. For the same kind of cash, we could grab draxler and martinez. He isnt even our best pick from PSG, where i'd say marquinihos, pastore, and lavezzi will probably be leaving cut price soon.

I don't want that douche at Arsenal.
