Football Thread 2013/14 |OT5| Levy to Woodward "You're nobody. Pass me the ball"

Ozil is one of the best AM in the world. With guys like Cavani going for 50% more, or unproven kids like Isco going to c. 30m, I think 40m is a good deal for Ozil. I am mad Utd is not making a run for him.

Can Moyes look past his ex-Everton players and chase world-class players?

I'd rather pay 50m for Isco than 40m for Özil.

Özil is the kind of player that should/could be one of the best but never will be because of his attitude.
Isco will be brilliant, unless he gets fucked up badly by injuries.

I was thinking something like a broken ankle. If he'd broken his leg, with the agony he was in it would have been a compound fracture and we'd have seen the bone IMO. It looked pretty innocuous initially.
That's good. Well, it's a silver lining on a pretty ominous fucking cloud.

Regarding the Liverpool match, it was really interesting to hear Rodgers talk about going after Carrick. It didn't strike me until after the game that we did a good job in pressuring him and preventing him from doing pretty much anything. Whenever he did get the ball into RVP it was always a pass played around the corner, and thus without much malice. And as a result I think RVP looked really isolated; he barely did anything, bar miss that great opportunity that had my arsehole resembling a karp's mouth out of water.

Isco and unproven don't belong in the same sentence.

In a big-time club, I meant. Not sure whether he was needed at Madrid, but Bale and his arrival definitely meant that Ozil was on his way out. A shame. Hoping that Utd can get one of RM's rejects.

That's amazing. Courtois is incredible. At this point, I don't think there's many better keepers in the world. Cech, probably Neuer and Buffon. That's it.

Do any of them have 3 clean sheets in a row including a penalty double-save?

@FPL players, do any of you have Mignolet, Enrique and Sturridge?

Yeah I think a lot of teams don't target Carrick as much as they should for some reason. I was thinking today well its like when Dortmund put Gotze on Alonso or we put Welbeck on him, and today was the first time I can remember Carrick being pressured so much. Sturridge and Coutinho were always close to him when he received the ball from our centre backs and it was the poorest game he's had since the start of last season.

Mobile users say hello to the wall of text.

Brings me back to that day Messi posted the matrix.

We've been great defensively
aside from Villa
, but it still makes me sad about what Vermaelen will be coming back to. He was rash and poor too often last season and is well and completely out of the first team at this point.

Oh well.

What brilliant names.

Its very odd Gareth Bale is the most expensive player in the world.

We need more Germans at the club, they are the epitome of professionalism. Unfortunately Ozil seems to be the exception to the rule.

Donadoni you idiot put Benalouane in. I don't even know why he's not in XI, he's does better than most of our current defenders.
