My favorite announcement was the customization option. I remember thinking the quality of the exploration and main character model was the way it is because there would be a high degree of customization in the game. I was so disappointed when we only got to see the three character models in the previous trailer.

League boutique with the previous Champion costumes (pls)

Tyrunt.....HHHnnnnngghhh

What more do they have in store?

I honestly think electric types not being able to be paralyzed is one of my favourite announcements (and the other similar changes).

I really don't know why. I don't even play the Pokemon metagame.

I've only now realized that I've only seen the first three episodes (the first season, I suppose) of Black Mirror. How could I've missed season 2? Loved S1 to bits.

Loooooooooooool. I was watching the trailer for Pokemon X and Y and I unknowingly had this Japanese commercial going on in the background. They were talking ballerinas when the starter evolutions were being introduced. It took me 15 seconds to realize the error as it as so convincing.

"Such elegance and beauty"

"Fiery passion and spirit"

I can't even...

What about stun spore? Pikachu gets a free pass?

It would appear so. These are the changes:
-Grass type properties modified
Grass types are immune to powder and spore moves (ex: Stun Spore)

-Ghost type properties modified
Ghosts are now immune to trapping moves (ex: Mean Look). It's unknown whether this extends to abilities.

-Electric type properties modified
Electric types are now immune to paralysis.

-Ice type properties modified
Ice types are now immune to the Frozen status.
Pure megatons.

Aye. The delirium is there, at least. So much work to be done.

In 13 hours you'll have 100 minutes of respite from said workload. During this 100 minutes you'll be transported to a world free from responsibility, pressure, and worry.

Got one minute into this Vice Syria documentary and I've already had my first 'hell no' moment. Going to take a lot to get through this.

Wait 3 weeks to have fibre installed in my new flat, they don't show up, next free date is in October.

Tad annoying.

That's NOTHING compared to how fucked up my fibre situation is. I live in this small small town, more like a village really (I fucking love it here, wouldn't want to live anywhere else, but that's beside the point). Some five, six years back out main telecommunication company decided it was time to start bringing fibre to people's homes all over Slovenia. The plan was they'd cover big cities first, as it always is with these things, then over the years slowly proceed to smaller towns, then villages and so on. You can imagine my surprise when every home/family in my tiny village received a letter saying we've been selected for fibre coverage, as part of a 'rural' experiment of sorts. Amazement, tears of joy, etc.

Fast-forward one an a half years later. Phase 1 of the fibre project is complete. Half the village has access to it. Some friends of mine bite as soon as the option becomes available and get 20/20 internet, which is basically the starting package. Dirt cheap too compared to xDSL. Not me, as I live in the other half. But hey, it's a matter of months, a year at most, right? Wrong. So fucking wrong. The economic crysis hits, the telecommunication giant goes into saving mode and the fibre project gets shelved for an undeterminated period. To this day ... nothing. And it doesn't seem they'll continue laying down fibre here anytime soon. If ever. FML. Looks like I'll be on 5mbit internet for a while.

Had some problems recently with my router's range not reaching upstairs to my room (but it seems to work fine on everyone else's devices :S) so Virgin are sending out a brand-new router for free, which is nice of them. Supposed to be a lot better too, so hopefully it works this time!

Just re-watched Goodfellas, film is still a fucking masterpiece. So many classic moments in the film, expertly directed too by one of the GOAT.

"Now go home and get your fucking shine box"

Le Prof on Wilshere & international football in general:

"The problem in the modern game is you need to be absolutely 100% physically to express your talent," he said. "At the moment Jack is not completely at his best physically. That's why people start to question his performances but he is a fantastic footballer and he will show that. He needs consistency now."

....

The Arsenal manager is wary about excessive levels of hope and hype put on Wilshere and that it has a habit of inhibiting players. "That's the problem with national teams," Wenger said. "I watched the French team and it was a bit the same. How can it happen? You have all these players – he plays at Bayern, he plays at Real Madrid, he plays at Arsenal, the other one at Paris Saint-Germain … You put them all together and nothing happens. It is a mystery. For me when they get there everyone is a bit handbreaky.

"The pressure suddenly for all the players is completely different. In the club they are used to it in a certain way. If Jack Wilshere has the same game at Arsenal we just say today, OK, he was not at his best. But when he has that game in the national team suddenly everyone questions your ability. The players find it a bit more difficult to handle in the national team with that kind of mental pressure that comes from everybody.

"National teams need always a guy who absorbs this type of pressure and takes it. We had Zidane. Before we had Platini. In the history of the French national team, results stopped when Platini stopped. They stopped when Zidane stopped. You need a good generation but you also need one [special] player."

Wenger believes Wilshere can be that player, the one to absorb the team's pressures, for England. "Jack can take that, he is young, only 22. He has the capacity to do that. But he needs to play six months without any problem. He has gone through a difficult period. He is not fazed by the importance of the game. He is not inhibited. Jack has the personality to be a top, top, top player."

....

Although Wenger initially saw Wilshere's future as a classic No10, he has changed his mind over recent seasons and rates his best position as a deeper midfielder. "Looking at Jack over the years now, he likes to come deep to take the ball and make a difference, and then give and go again," Wenger said.

of all the Wenger-isms, "handbrakey" is definitely one of my favorites.

Also, I can't believe Wilshere is (almost) 22. Damn. I'm worried time might be running out for him, but at least Wenger's given up on playing him as a number 10.

Don't think 'time is running out for him' at all - his progress has been slowed by injuries, definitely; a lot just depends on how fit he keeps himself over the next few seasons.

But yeah, I don't think even Wilshere himself knows his best position which is a bit of a worry. I think he is better as a box-to-box type player, though - he doesn't quite have the skillset for a genuine No. 10.

Wilshere should try out as a Box-to-Box MC or Deep Lying playmaking M/AMC. But first thing to do will be to hire his own physio. :p

wilshere's one of the most talented youngsters i've seen. it's just that his fitness is holding him back at the moment.

he's gonna make it.

I'm a little surprised that some people who really want to play GTA are just watching the whole game online.

I am not anal about spoilers, I'll watch gameplay stuff. What's the point of watching story missions though?

i've thought about watching halo play-throughs on youtube. i don't have an xbox and will probably never play those games, but i just can't bring myself to watch hours of footage of some guy playing it while narrating it.

Back from watching Whit House Down.

Sleepy you were wrong, this movie is pretty good.

Jamie Foxx and Channing Tatum do a pretty good job.

7/10, would watch once but not again (unless its on free =P)

The gifs in the first spoilers thread were amazing, I got a lot of GTA SA vibes. Wilbur probably soaked in much more than I did but the little I saw were so good.
