Didn't notice this but then I'm focusing on two games. From what I saw I thought he mostly played well. That assist and strike he had was good, did more than what Illara did in attack even though that's not their role of course. I thought the game would get worse after Ronaldo left but we woke up after Benz scored which was right around the time Morata came in.

To be fair to Cassano, the issue with him was never his footballing ability.

Lucarelli has been amazing but I would say the impact from Cassano joining the club is showing itself more now. We're just much more flexible around the penalty box now, the guy is really good at finding openings among any teams defense, but as you said it was never about his football abilities. Think Parolo should be given some praise as well, guy has been a surprise.
